I’m assuming you’re referring to the map rings and not the ingame 3D chests themselves? I tried to simulate color blindness by screencapping the map and making it grayscale; I can still see the rings and numbers because of the brightness difference. You probably have all types of collectibles open so that’s why it’s hard to see. Look at the checkboxes and uncheck all except Buried Locked Chest. Is it better?

I added Buried Locked Chest locations to the Dry Top map. Uncheck the Lost Coin checkboxes to filter your view. You can hover over the map rings for hint of the chest’s exact position.

No new Dry Top events have been added to this release, so the timer is the same.

Looks like many people still don’t know where or when events are happening, so here is a reminder.

Want to know what events are up in Dry Top and where to go? Using the game’s API and assets, a timer-map of Dry Top with the exact event icons and outlines are reproduced, showing active events every 5 minutes as scheduled by the game zone.

If you don’t want to alt tab, you may use the overlay app to show the website (or any websites) while in Guild Wars 2 (you’ll need to be in Windowed or Windowed Fullscreen resolution). Overlays are allowed by Anet as stated in this dev post

Credits for the timings go to Mirror and HEnny7555. The map and event locations are straight from ArenaNet’s API.

The events may be down quickly after it’s up because people in different megaserver instances finished them, so you’ll still occasionally have to ask map chat what events are still active, but hopefully this app will abate the confusion of what’s going on in Dry Top.

Edit: Added Buried Locked Chest locations

The wiki has 5 locations instead of the 4 I listed, so I rechecked the API event locations and noticed that I missed the one near the devourer queen. It’s been added now so there are 5 skritt spawns in the interactive map. Thanks for that.

Anet updated their events API (text files with info of events) to include the new Dry Top events, including the skritt burglar (Llama Drama) map locations.

Go to http://gw2timer.com on the right panel look for “Gates of Maguuma Q#” title for events in the Dry Top map. The skritt burglar events are in the “Gates of Maguuma Q3” bar (X:40 minute mark), click the bar title to expand it, and click an event to show the map location.

I made a timers site http://GW2Timer.com with drawn map paths for every meta event that gives a rare, and also written mini walkthroughs for them (under the help/? icon). On the right sidebar you can open a meta event chain bar to see the individual event names, and you can click on them to see on the map.

The map paths are color ordered Red Orange Yellow Green Blue Indigo Violet (ROYGBIV) and each color represents a single step in the chain. I know with the megaservers more people can just tag along random commanders and get the loot, but if you want to help out more with the events and know yourself how to do them from start to finish and were too shy to ask, here is the information you need.

For more advanced players, the timer uses statistics collected via the API (pre-megaserver) to predict for you when each events in the meta event chain happens and ends so you know whether to waypoint or not if you’re late. You can see more features in the image attached.

I tested the site alone so I hope you’ll voice any concerns for it, and I’ll also appreciate criticisms and suggestions.
