This is what we need, although i think spectral skills need buffing aswell (wtf spec armour????!!)

I’ve tried many builds in wvw, i roam solo or in small groups, I’ve tried a full set of cleric with support wells, the healing is decent if people STAY IN THE WELLS but in a fighting environment who is gonna limit themselves to standing in a well, honestly I think corruption should stay as 5 seconds but remove 2 boons with every pulse. it’s just too easy for someone to side step out.

But all in all I love your suggestions, after playing WoW for a few years and then coming to gw2 where a trinity doesn’t exist but then finding that other classes can put out super healing + aoe damage while i kitten in the wind with my poor utility then you quickly realise why there’s not alot of necromancers around.

hello, is this for pve/pvp/wvw or all 3? also I do like it and im going to test it out but I never really play without a staff its just so useful to me, could i swap staff for the axe or would that kitten the build?

my god i just can’t find a good necro build for roaming, if you go power you NEED to wellbomb to burst them down meaning daggers are a must for skill 3 (not that id use axe anyway)

pls anet buff this dam class.

Ive been thinking about a cond build with full rabid with maybe spec walk/spec grasp/corrupt boon, not sure on the traits yet but surely epidemic can’t be THAT needed for every cond build.

edit: was thinking of adding more cond duration bc even though it get’s cleansed so easily having longer duration allows you to build it to higher stacks faster
edit2: which also means id need to use whorn to maintain 100% uptime on swift so how would that compare with offhand dagger

ok so points about the build
-high mobility with swiftness for roaming
-high bleed duration for quicker bleed stacks
-no need for dagger so wont have to aim skill 5 (sometimes annoying)
-has corrupt boon for anyone stacking boons/spectral grasp for anyone wanting to run away + swarm to lock them down with cripple

last edit: I STILL NEED TO TEST THIS BUILD OUT, I have only theory crafted it in the pvp zone.

well i love using wells with my power build, sometimes traited to target and sometimes not, but im not sure on whether i should use solider or knights gear with zerk jewellery

I know its more hp if your against cond users and toughness against melee but you never know who your going to come up against in wvw, I like to roam solo and in small groups rather than in zergs.

as for pve i either run cond spec or power wellomacer traited to ground target.

ok so im using berserker jewellery mainly but for my gear im using knights atm.

what i want to know is do people use soldiers gear much anymore for power builds or is zerker/knights just plain better to use.

Hello, I would like to know if anyone knows what the toughness soft cap is. IE what amount of toughness to aim for, I heard it was around 2600 armor but want to make sure.

think about it this way, do you want a select few of the population to be wanted for pve/pvp/wvw or do you want everyone to be wanted.

Yes i know some don’t have that many cond removals, i was just emphasising my point. more often than not stacking high bleeds wont happen because they will get cleansed before you can make much of an impact. I know thats not the case in tpvp/spvp but in wvw zergs cond removal .. need i say more.

this has nothing to do with the trinity rofl, why can’t each class have a cond for example necro has poisons which can stack to 25, thieves also use poisons and ele’s use burns etc and that poison debuffs healing and increases other classes cond duration on that target. so ya know, classes like thieves and necro are actually wanted in dungeon/fractal groups instead of faceroll warrs/guards.

again, nothing to do with the trinity. but allowing class diversity instead of people only wanting the overpowered and the rest can gtfo.

The reason its not a pvp issue is because everyone and their mum has a million cond removal. Anet preach play your way but when your forced to spec different otherwise your dead weight surely there should be a huge fking uproar.

Ive only been playing 3-4 weeks. I played wow for 2 years, i left because our guild died. Im a hardcore heroic raider. 2nd best guild on my server (not sure anymore) Im seriously considering going back to wow because im fking appauled that this system made it through beta and that this so called lead dev has failed to correct it in the 6 months this game has been out.

If your an ex wow player, everyone hates on ghostcrawler. But after seeing this you have to think to yourself that he does somewhat deserve a major pat on the back for actually designing class balance on wow how it is.

I don’t understand why certain classes can’t bring 1 type of condition that can stack to 25 and each condition has their own debuff, that way if you needed certain debuffs you would NEED those classes in your groups. its called class diversity anet …pls, I know everyone “hates” wow but pls learn from it.

even with conditions, running full rabids and still getting stomped by any burst class it really feels like toughness does nothing. Reason i like d/wh is because i gain near enough perma swiftness with Swalk which is much better than the signet i find. but i don’t have that option with the condition build.

only reason i even got rabid offset gear was because i got fed up of having to facetank everything and with low mobility and slow dodges, it now feels like a waste of time lol.

I really wish there was a vitality/cond dmg/toughness set i could get since hp just seems so much more useful than toughness.

Also another reason i feel useless, more than a few condition classes and 25 bleeds gets capped fast. meaning my dmg becomes pointless.

I do use staff, d/wh with my power build. Though it seems only staff 4 scales with power, the auto attack can hit decently high, but when you have a bunch of guys siegeing a tower and your slow as balls staff takes someone out, they get insta revived and you can’t do anything about it. 1v2 is terror because of the revives. Im not even convinced i should even touch a hybrid build since if your building for cond and power then your either sacrificing toughness, hp or crit, and i feel all 3 are a necessity for necros atm. Maybe its just a server thing but yeah we don’t have many willing to risk themselves to try save someone else.

I think i may have to level up other classes. I dont see why giving dagger/axe a cleave would be op though, considering axe hits for nowt anyway plus has short range and dagger makes you very vulnerable to the enemy being in their face.
What do you think about getting faster endurance so we can dodge more though? since we have poor escapes.

I just feel uggh. first char leveled to 80, got like 40% map completion (lol) cbf with it so thats alot for me. I can’t solo kitten all with my condition build. everyone can cleanse their debuffs so easy, can heal so easy. here i am stuck with full exotic rabid gear and still getting butt kittened by every glass cannon build (im sorry does toughness actually make a kittening difference?)

Power build, using full knights with zerk chest/legs/neck for some added offense, can switch to knights if needed. farming soldiers atm but uggh dungeons are so faceroll and boring. (no ive not done them all but i left wow like 2 months back and was a hc raider. the dungeons on this game are pathetic) so im in wvw, trying to support my team with my power build which btw is so kitten its unreal. you either go axe and hit like a wet noodle or go dagger and get so upclose that you get roflstomped.

What i think the necro needs – more mobility, even if that means giving us faster endurance so we can dodge more because when i get into combat, even with the 25% signet or with the 33% Swalk i still get caught by every other dam class.
power needs a cleave, dagger and axe. pls for the love of god give us some dam aoe.
condition is fine i guess. maybe more bleed stacks would be nice? not that it matters when everyone cleanses so often.

It’s actually got to the point where i’m like kitten me for picking this class, should have just picked a warrior since i mained a fury/arms warr on wow. reason i didnt was because its fotm but regretting it now!!!

Everytime i wvw i just end up getting frustrated. maybe its my kitten server who knows. im like jumping off my keep to save other players. using staff 5/3 for cc, ds fear etc, then i end up getting owned because i have zero mobility. my team kittens off and leaves me. this happens on average 5 times a day during my few hours of wvw.

maybe necro’s are decent in regular pvp since its so confined/wont get outmanned as much. but in wvw i feel so useless. Pve is meh i expect for any class.

wow haters – pls dont even reply talking crap, yes wow has its ups and downs but you can’t deny that it’s been refined into one of the best mmorpg games.

so now that i’ve had my rant Im wondering if i should level up another class. if so which do you think would suit my playstyle. gw1 i mained a rit which i really wish they had on this, I enjoy getting into the thick of things, cleave is nice i guess, decent escapes. not squishy either.
