Yes, I would love to be able to skip it. :/ I stopped trying for the achievement because I don’t want to watch the cut scene AGAIN. XD It was really endearing the first time I watched it, but now I’d like it to never ever play again. Ever.

Nevermind, I went back and re-read the Dulfy guide. It does say that it remains account bound from Frine-Exotic even after you select stats, but the ascended becomes soulbound.

It’s weird to me that it says this because I am not the only one I know whose back piece became soulbound. o.O

I thought I read that once you select your stats it became soulbound?

I see what you’re saying now. Yeah, I can understand why that’s frustrating for you, but each time my server has fought the knights I think only 1-3 seem to be getting the cores. So, I don’t think they’re going to be an easy thing to come by.

Maybe it’s not working the way it’s meant to, or maybe it’s working the way they intended. Until there is an answer, I guess I can only suggest that you keep hacking away at it. :/

I made the exotic the day of/day after the Escape From Lion’s Arch was released and as soon as I put stats on it it became soulbound. Maybe it’s a bug that it didn’t soulbound to you guys?

Okay? I think the entire point is to defeat them and move on to Scarlet. I don’t think they are meant to give you much in the way of drops. (I mean, that’s just my opinion. We’re doing the meta event, so I didn’t expect anything until after we completed the entire thing.)

Regular mobs in LA also drop the blade shards that you need for your back piece, and the patch notes say this: “Aetherblade enemies across Tyria now have an added chance to drop Blade Shards.”

You should be able to complete your back piece whether you get loot from the Knights or not. (The Knights have also only dropped Gear Boxes for me.)

:) They managed to link my accounts. Not sure if others will still have this problem, but support was very helpful and prompt and got that all sorted out!

I’m still trying to figure out what to do about my GW1 issues (especially since I still haven’t received an e-mail from GW support and I can’t post to the forums due to the fact that you need a character name to do so). :( I’m sure things will be solved eventually, though.

EDIT: I’m not sure if this is considered a website bug or an account issue… :( I’m so sorry if this is in the wrong place!

I already submitted a support ticket for this issue, but I figure posting here and seeing if anyone else is having issues or has found a way around this wouldn’t hurt.

Whenever I try to link my GW account with my GW2 account I get logged out. I just go straight to the log in screen. No warnings, no errors.

I have double checked my information to make sure it was correct and even tried entering the e-mail associated with my NCSOFT account and trying a different password to see if it would have the same result. (It didn’t. I received a password error.)

My account name is still the @ncsoft one. Should I (and is there a way) to change that to an e-mail address? (When I remove the @ncsoft part it tells me to use an e-mail, but when I type the name properly it just logs me out – as stated.)

I’m kind of computer illiterate, so I’m not sure what else I should try/do. :(

I also cannot actually sign into my GW account due to having forgotten my character names (I have e-mailed support), but I have – for sure, 100% – checked to make sure everything else was correct. Like, ten times.

EDIT#2: By “cannot actually sign into my GW account” I mean that I cannot sign in to the game. I can sign into my NCSOFT account just fine and see my account information/change my passwords/etc.

EDIT#3: Oh, man… I can’t post to the GW support forums because I don’t know my character names… :( Ouchiesss.

I’ve been inactive for nearly a year now, and I’m just getting back into the game…only to discover that the people I used to play with are not nearly as active as they used to be.

I’m looking for a guild on Devona’s Rest that has at least a handful of active players and is helpful for newer/newbie players. I’m not a hardcore gamer, but I do enjoy tagging along for WvW shenanigans (in spite of my inexperience).

Currently, I’m restarting my characters so I am fairly low lvl and haven’t chosen a main of any kind. If it matters, I’m mostly interested in Elementalists, Necromancers, and Warriors.

I will likely be playing four or five days out of a week, and my times will vary. (For anyone who cares, I only play when my husband is at work. If I don’t have his schedule, then I can’t tell you if I’ll be available for guild events or not.)

I’m very interested in learning all there is to learn about the game, and I do most of my own research. I’m very slow in advancing (because I am easily distracted in-game), but I will do my best to fill any role that I am qualified for.

I prefer 18+ guilds with a no drama policy. I’m not a very serious person and enjoy chatting, so a guild that doesn’t chitter among itself is not for me. (I do have teamspeak and don’t have a problem using it, but I’m very shy when it comes to talking. :C)
