Leveling blow out, why?

One of my favorite parts of the game is the Level up blast.
I remember fighting someone 1v1 in WvW when a poor spider came between us.
It died and I downed my opponent with my level up blast. Very memorable moment haha.

Hellfire & Radiant - Alternative means

I’m all for hard to get, Long-term AP commitment armor skins, but I feel like it shouldn’t be the radiant/hellfire sets.
It feels poorly planned to have the gloves, shoulders and helmet unlocked very early, then get to pick the second set, then after a huge gap continue to collect the rest of the set.

Imo, the radiant/hellfire sets should have their Rewards threshholds rearranged (without removing it from those that already receive it).
Make it something like, you need 20-24k AP to have both complete sets.
Then after 25k Introduce a new set and the Pinnacle Weapon skins.
It would be better designed and feel more exclusive for Commited players, since they’re not receiving remainder pieces of armor, but beginning actual new sets that other people may not receive.
I’m just saying, Grinding AP just to get a chest piece a year or so from now isn’t very exciting.

Gobbler QoL suggestion

The most disappointing and irritating thing for me is that you receive no bonus when you are transformed. It becomes extremely irritating when you transform 10 times in a row when you simply want a buff.
The Candy Corn Gobbler pack states “Harness the magic of your candy corn to transform yourself and receive boosts”. Its not until after you actually open it that it states that you get 1 OR the other.
In my opinion it would be much better if we could decide whether we wanted a random boost or transform.
Just wish they did Refunds on gemstore items, because I feel like I didn’t exactly get what I was hoping for. Was expecting something to sink candy corn into and get short buffs as a reward. Not playing rng 10 times in a row just to get a buff.

how to use gs

in Ranger

Burst
You can pull this off by moving into your target while using Rapid Fire, then immediately going into Hunter’s Shot to stealth. This allows you to then hilt bash your target without giving them a chance to notice it and dodge. From the hilt bash, you then can maul while your pet’s next attack hits harder.
.

I actually like to use Remorseless instead of read the wind. (gain opening strike when gaining stealth)
After Rapid Fire, I use Hunter’s Shot and then proceed to maul the enemy with opening strike’s 100% crit rate (sometimes I also use Signet of the hunt, allowing maul to crit for 6-12k. Then Save Hilt bash for Right before I Maul for a second time before switching back to Longbow. (works great with Moment of Clarity too, but that’s a bit too much glass canon)
From my experience, remorseless allows GS rangers to make maul a giant burst skills, since signets work on you too.

Also a bit off topic, but I like to use Healing spring, since GS 3 counts as a double leap finsher if used against something (the run portion, and the leap portion). Can get some decent healing and condition removal.

How to deal with conditions as a ranger?

Why do people always forget about Healing Spring?
It removes 1 condition instantly, then an extra condition every 2 seconds for 10 seconds. (coming to a total of 6)
Most of the time this Heal is good enough of a condition removal for me.
Also it is a water field, so you can get extra heals if you’re using Sword, warhorn or greatsword.

5 Viable Warrior Spvp specs post-patch

Here’s a variation of Macebow I like to use. (more condi orientated)
http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fJAQNApcTjMdU1ZhHOewJigfgC7M0CGDgj+UFo7NA-TZRAwAAeCAlLDw5QA45EA0b/BA

Explanation:
Kick works pretty well with this build. low cooldown fast interrupt that hits multiple enemies.
I like to use signets cause then I can use Signet Mastery and get a shorter cooldown on signet of rage and makes Signet of Dolyak almost a better version of balanced stance.

I like using Deep Cuts trait because 50% bleed duration increase is ridiculous. Makes Pin Down a very deadly skill.
Also Missle deflection is hilarious after the patch given all the rangers.

Sigils of agony for 20% more bleed duration, Doom on bow for easy poison applying, and energy on Mace for extra evasions.
Krait runes pretty self explanatory, and rabid cause I like toughness.

I would also like to add that Throw Bolas is very nice in greatsword builds.
100b is 3 and a half seconds. Throw Bolas is 4 seconds Immobilize (without + condi duration) Just sayin’ ^^

Call it QQ or w/e, Adrenaline Nerf is Serious

in Warrior

As a person that plays both PvE and PvP, I think this was a good change for PvP.
Regardless of what build I am using I hardly notice a difference. It’s very easy to build up Adrenaline while in combat, especially if you’re using Cleansing ire (remember, you get adrenaline when hit while using it). Being able to carry Adrenaline from battle to battle was too big of an advantage for Warrior. Even a mesmer can’t carry illusions from one battle to another.

That being said though, I would love to see a 5-10 second delay added to PvE Only. The average mob doesn’t last long enough for you to build up adrenaline, and by the time you get to another mob, all of your built up adrenaline has already depleted. Adding a delay to the depletion in PvE would greatly improve the warrior leveling experience.

Just don’t undo the nerf completely.

Why cant we trade

never really understood the whole “to prevent scamming” argument. I mean, almost every trading system in every game has a lock-in feature to confirm the trade once you know you want to trade for sure. Having to rely on the game’s mail system seems like a way to increase scamming.
that being said, I wish I could rely on the game’s mail system for trading as well.. I’ve gotten used to playing games where the mail system has cod (cash on delivery), where you can add an item and a set price that the receiver must pay enable to receive the item. (and if for some reason they don’t accept it, the item gets returned after a few days or something).

It feels odd and a bit unfinished at times to only have the Trading post; however, as a person who’s majority of item’s sold have been below 1 gold, I can’t really complain about the posting fee, as it isn’t really that high for what I sell.

PvE leveling up during PvP matches

in Bugs: Game, Forum, Website

I just encountered this bug while playing a PvP match.
I completed the “Monthly Kill Variety” Achievement in the middle of the match and I gained a PvE level because I was at about 97%.
While I think it is amazing that this achievement gave me experience, the problem comes in the fact that I leveled up in the middle of a match. in other words, I did the whole knock back thing and instantly regained all my health in the middle of a fight. So yea.. that’s sort of a big bug. Just thought I’d mention it.
