LB is tough since the slow rate of fire makes just about any “on crit” type of sigil really crappy. Personally, I’d vote for Sigil of Accuracy since precision goes so well with berserker gear.
I ran these for a longtime in both my LB and 1H Sword. Changed to sigil of strength and both and have not noticed much a difference. I already had 60 crit chance even before the sigil of accuracy so having a sigil with an effect on crit feels like it does more for me. I may experiment with some of the others but so far I do like the sigil of strength. Seems like a decent replacement for Rage as One might stacking as I run with Entangle Vines currently. After doing a hunter’s call from my warhorn then switching to LB and rapid firing/barraging I can get a 8-15 stack fairly easily when I have fury up.

Sword 1, yup.
I can dodge roll and cancel any leaping attack on any other profession, but not the Ranger. Not cool.
Agreed, I died twice during a long battle in one of the borderland’s garrison because I leapt past a downed targeted enemy with my sword #1 and I could not stop myself. Sword #1 should be more controllable.
My number two is making it so the pet’s f2 ability fires off faster. Most of the time targets are out of range of certain abilities. The animations for the special attacks look great but they are horribly ineffective because of how long they take. I also don’t like how I have to mash my buttons to get that ability to fire off. All other ranger abilities execute in a timely manner except this one.

No conditions on the longbow please, that is what the shortbow is for. Only the autoattack skill needs work on the longbow (maybe faster cast time on rapid fire). Other than that please leave longbow alone.

I would not be happy if they reworked the longbow significantly. Most of the skills are well done. The only one that needs a major change is the auto attack skill. Re fire rate needs to be increased and the damage limitation needs to be taken away. Minor changes i would like to see are a faster cast time for rapid fire. I feel hunters shot, point blank shot and barrage are fine.
I think adding the extended longbow range to the piercing arrows trait could also be useful. Would also like to see better replacements for or buffed up opening strike minor traits. They are very bland and other classes have so much better minor traits for multiple trait lines.

This is an issue that has frustrated me for a long time. I am to the point now that i usually don’t even bother trying to activate the f2 skill. By the time I do that my target is long gone. The recent pet attack speed buff helped but its not enough. I usually play inWvWvW and my pets dont last long at all in larger battles which also is a major problem. I sometimes wish i could store the pet and gain a 25% damage boost. At least then i will be closer to what other classes can do in larger scale combat.

I know Anet isn’t one for spoilers, but I’d love to know if there’s going to be any work done to our Longbow.
Personally, I’d love to see Long Range Shot’s cast time reduced to a 1/2 second cast time as opposed to a 3/4 second. (If you don’t know how fast 1/2 a second is, it would be same cast time as our “Point Blank Shot” which currently has a 1/2 second cast time.)
Agree 100%
I am beyond frustrated that a short bow user can do the same damage with auto attack from 0-1200m with a much faster attack speed but my longbow becomes much weaker when moving closer all the while firing very slow. Thats also why it seems speeding up the arrow velocity helped the sb more than the longbow. This is one of those things that sounds great on paper but performs poorly in game because the longbow auto attacks are still simply much too slow. This is one of the main reasons most rangers do not use the longbow.
Speeding the auto attacks up will do the trick. Plan B could be removing the range requirements for the damage spread on auto attack. Another possibility is moving the extended range trait and adding it to the piercing arrows trait making it easier to have extended range. Other than that I like the rest of the longbow skills and how they handle. ANet did some great work there and I know they will address this issue.
