Monk, i think youre crazy lol. Darkhaven has a large “skirmish” base of people from duos all the way up to 8-10 man. From guilds like PD,FG,SoTC,GRIM ect. to act like SF is this bastion of small scale warfare when you folks are known for your hornets nest mentality.

to be honest, i think “skirmish” wise AR/DH/DR would be fun, again im just talking about the small scale stuff.

and in finishing , to all our folks on DH we have had a t1 guild come over and they are quite interested in showing everyone what they have learned, So keep an eye out for the toon Random Conditions and give him a listen.

I have mad respect for PD especially the mesmer that Seven helped gear up, you are an amazing player. As for the other guilds you mentioned FG is an easy wipe with anything close to matching numbers and i havn’t even ran into the SoTC guild. As far as GRIM goes you guys just have the one mesmer that i seem to run into.

Also i never claimed SF was some small scale bastion, that was HoD and go ask PAXA how that plan worked.

As far as the AR/DH/DR matchup, i dont honestly see how you DH can compete in small scale tactics with AR and ADQQBtsy except for maybe one or two guilds

Also: it was only twice because the moment that Abys/BURN zerg saw 3 SFs running towards them they’d make a beeline back to SM’s arrow cart coverage and wasn’t content to stop running until they were covered by at least 3 carts.

Saw it coming but didn’t have time to type out a warning. Now lets post every single wipe each server has had using ~superior T1 tactics of mass invis, flanks, and blast finishers. Kay? Because then we’d have a lot more reading material to sift through.

Like ABYS roflstomping KING a couple nights ago in NSP BL? That was a fun Open field fight right there.

This makes me laugh as i personally know how many you guys run with and KING hasnt fielded more than 8 in the same TS channel this week. I also wasn’t there at NSP BL so i don’t know who you “roflstomped”. With Seven Mirror quitting and me being rather bored of WvW there isnt much organization in WvW with KING right now.

On a side note everytime i try to get like a 5v5 against abys you kitten out. You guys always want 20v20. Hell when i first asked myro about gvg he wanted a 25v25. KING can’t field kitten like that.

Before I threw on my tag, we were commanderless and staring at a zerg of SF playing with Omegas in a field covered by your ACs. I’m sure you weren’t all rallied there the whole time, but when I pushed down a few times on my guard only to encounter AC fire from the hill between QL and SM along with a lot more SF than you’re claiming here.

Just to set the record straight, we had exactly 3 ACs.

One was built out in the middle of nowhere out of boredom because about 8 of you guys were standing on the first ridge from SM and turning and running as soon as 2-3 of us took a step forward.

One was all the way back at QL’s door, and the third was on the nearest turret of QL where two trebs were. Each AC (I suspect deliberately) draws multiple different red circles on the ground, but as a commander yourself, I’m sure you already knew that the combat log doesn’t lie when there’s only 1 damage tick per AC per second.

We had about 12 people there total and 6 [KING] members joined us later all of whom were in omega golems****.

We weren’t really even planning on taking SM to begin with. We wanted an open field fight, but didn’t get one so we tried to force the issue. The response (or lack thereof) led to us going ‘puppy it lets just see if we can take it’.

By cover I mean had we pushed to where you were standing (and I did, to take out one of your superior ACs), your zerg was covered by siege fire. So, not very inviting for DH to come fight you there. Omegas do killer damage by their lonesome and take forever to take down via melee; if you want an open field fight, like I said you shouldn’t have spent hours capping camps and empty towers with your ginormous zergball. I was bored as well roaming camps and dredge/hylek and looking for stragglers to punt off cliffs during that time. So the feeling was mutual I suppose.

It was impossible to push your towers with a zerg that you were fielding plus the atleast 5 ACs already prebuilt on all the towers. What is boring to me is spending an hour to take a tower, no fun for me.

So tonight, I’ve relized DH has some major issues that I think is what is causing us to not rank up in tiers.

Obliviousness. I have watched time and time again, things happening that goes completely unnoticed, despite multiple people being in that area, or they do see them, and don’t say a thing about it. When we had NSP’s keep last week, I noticed as I was firing treb shots at Ogres, no one shooting at Vel saw the Treb being built clear as day on the hill, and it got up and started hitting our trebs. I had to call it out then we got it Then not even 10 minutes later, NOONE noticed one of the outter walls on the west side were destroyed completely! (Mind you, we were at “15 minute + Line to get into WvW” population). I had to call THAT out and managed to get the wall up and destroy their treb just in time to block the zerg. But then right AFTER, NOONE heard the “banging” sound of a door being hit, nor noticed the 6+ golems bursting through the water gate and overran us. Also noticed despite having 5 guys at the south stonemist wall just now, none of them said “Hey guys. SF is building catapults and arrow carts at the south of SM, oh and two of our walls are now at 70% HP and dropping!” or anything along those lines. I had to call it out, again! THEN we had a response…. when the wall was at 10%. There was also the time a little bit before that NSP was at the western gate and no one said anything! Noone calls anything out, or don’t even notice it happening…

I have never seen people so, oblivious to these things! God only knows how many times I see something get swords showing it’s under attack and I ask “Anyone got eyes on (blank)” when I KNOW there are people there, and then I get zero response, and I have to run over there myself just to see what’s up.

I think the problem is you guys would prefer to have AC Wars 2 instead of some fun open field fights. SF has been sitting outside SM for an hour waiting for you to push still nothing. We are finally taking the outer walls down to get into you.

I find this funny because you “HoD” had an LK zergball, KoM roaming with about 12 people, and PAXA doing their thing, all on ET BL, you easily outmanned them. Hell SF was outmanned and KING was running around with 7 members trying to get into fights while about 15-20 CoSA and pugs took our BO tower. Don’t blame ET for rallying all of their server into one point to defend the only BL they have.

We really only run with 8-10 guys max. 12 is too many and we try our best to ditch adds. Since the whole 5 man tier consolidation thing went out the window we thought it best to focus “Zerg Busting” and to include all of our guildies (10 active) instead of only running our pre made 5 man group composition.

Anyway, I want to give a shout out to KING. In my opinion you are the SF elite. We really enjoy fighting you guys and appreciate you always being classy. Take Care and see you in game!

yeah unfortunately due to awkward drama in HoD. FkB and LK rarely communicate. which results in moments like ET bl. KoM/PAXA were out doing their own thing and they are not big into pushing/defending points. so it was really only us 2

although judging from HoDs viewpoint we had less than you. it was not enough for us to complain about u having more numbers. if we had simply worked together you would have been an easier opponent. and would have been much easier to handle.

(ALSO on a side note i was mildly misjudging how many u had XD got LK killed a couple times.)

We fought them with everything we had last night as they methodically painted our ENTIRE BL their color. Once we lost a location, we’d fall back to the next and try our darnedest to get it ready, hold it for a bit, then finally get overrun.

We also tried to break back into EB a few times, but we couldn’t get passed one or two towers before we would get pushed out again. Our keep is (was?) so sieged up it wasn’t even funny. Well, maybe it was haha.

What you see is what we have for numbers. We give it our all and we try to stay positive. Sometimes that’s all we can do.

@SF: you guys have learned some new tactics since you’ve been “off to college”. Now that you’re back home, maybe we can learn from them too.

We can’t really help our numbers, either being more than some servers, or less than others… So it isn’t really Karma, it is just the lack of a balancing system.

All we can do is get out there and stomp who we can, take what we can, and hold what we can against a server that should be at least T5 for sheer numbers alone. We can only get better by not being able to throw numbers at a problem and solve it with brute force.

That being said, this doesn’t fix the issues with WvW score stagnation, it highlights all the problems with the current system in sharp relief, the maps, the “outmanned” buff, the snowball effect of WxP (as well as other things), the commander tag/squad issues, etc.

A fix would have been shortening the time span of the moving average score to accommodate player migration or tier the outmanned buff giving it some teeth in the process, so it didn’t work like horny goat weed on invaders. Or really anything but throwing RNG at the problem…

Well we obviously arent a T5 server as our “sheer numbers” was barely enough to win 2nd place in t6 a couple times.
