these are the rules for traps… get over it.. there are a lot of tutorials for “pros” like you that explain how to counter DH and his traps
test of faith is the only unblockable skill. and that makes sense. If you read the discription of that skill you will see a reason why they made it that way… it PUNISHS foes that are careless and just keep crossing those BIG WHITE SWORDS that you can´t overlook. Be happy they added a ICD and decreased the duration.
Cleary you dont even know your own class.
And beside the dodging part, the DH can also knockback or pull someone true these traps,(one of them is also unblockable) so its not all just Dodge it and L2p because there are allot of stuff you HAVE to dodge vs DH, meh it like talking to a spoiled kid.. all you guys do is react with L2p or something like that, i understand ofc, you want to keep to be OP.. so it looks like your more skilled then others right? lol
I think every profession has access to stability… you have the big advantage that you can identify a DH quite easy. there a lot of ways to counter traps… its not our fault that everybody is running beserker and doesn´t care about carefull gameplay…
It needs to be blockable, and it needs counterplay, without reducing its damage potential.
i have some counterplay for you : 1.DON`T CROSS THOSE BIG WHITE SHINY SWORDS
2. u have dodgerolls

i have great idea…lets just give all specs an insta kill skill that kills all enemy with a big bang attack. maybe then you´re going to stop crying….
hey there… atm a lot of people complain about some changes and fixes to the dragonhutner… could sb write down all changes or give me a link so i can read them?? at the moment i don´t know any of them..
I think the only problem with the new virtues is the cast time with wings of resolve because it can be interrupted. but this is so easy to fix… just make the jump of wings of resolve an “evade” move. so u actually can´t touched while ur in the animation. as for the other virtues. IMO they are awesome
I agree to 100%. Dragonhunter is awesome. I made an “invinite Block” DPS build in PVP.
It is just insane… i´m doing more dmg then all those “medi meta guys” wich say DH is low. I have way more survivability aswell. I lost 1 1v1 since the launch. So yeah i can´t understand all the hate about the DH. I think most guards just want an elite spec with a skill that insta kills everybody…
its not bugged in any way.. they often said that it actually blocks ALL incoming attacks
and it would be IMPORTANT to remove the 1 second cooldown from the “condi remove when block” trait. because with that one second cooldown we can´t really remove condis in an effective way
I love the Dragonhunter when it comes to PVP. I think it just need some extras on the traits to get some sustain.
VIRTUES:
Wings of Resolve: AWESOME , love big heal and that it removes immobilize
Shield of Courage: I really like but it would be awesome if the shield would actually “Block” attacks. That would help to remove condis with Hunters furification.
Spear of Justice: The active is simply not good enough… the passive is way better, it produces 2 condis which can be combined with a dmg buff.
LONGBOW: I really like it and i don´t think changes are needed. I´m tired of reading how bad it is that True Shot can´t be used while moving… come on guys this Shot can hit like 5000 DMG every 4 seconds..
TRAPS:
Procession of Blade: Increase the damage, this role of this Trap is simply to provide dmg. but atm the dmg is just to low and it is easy to dodge..
Test of Faith: PLEASE if it is possible in game enemy shouldn´t be able to dodge through that Trap….
Dragons Maw: a lot of people suggest that this trap should “kill” a downed enemy when activated. I also think this would be cool.
TRAITS ( really put some thinking in it )
PIERCING LIGHTt: i tried it out but i couldn´t really “feel” and advantage while i dazed them for 1 second… i would reccomend they STUN opponents. so it is much easier to produce dmg with the Traps.
BOLWARK: all “absorbing” attacks count as a “Block”. You are vulnerable when an enemy is hitting you from behind. Witch these Changes we it will work so well with Hunters furification. Now enemies can´t attack us without thinking because otherwise they will remove the conditions. It is basically the same as the daredevil.
BIG GAME HUNTER !!!! : due to the fact that you want us to really “use” our virtues i have a suggestion for you : when we activate spear of justice we gain sth like " LITANY OF WRATH "!!!! ( but only to the enemies we hit with the chain) so we can use the spear of justice to use our dmg to heal us a bit.
DULLED SENSES: rework it and just use the following : GAIN HEALING POWER BASED ON YOUR POWER. Guardians need healing power when they don´t use medi builds to stay alive. this would give us the option to gain some healing power without using an amulett or sth like that.
thats it, overall i love the dragonhunter. it was so fun to blow up all those foes which thought traps wouldn´t hurt and dragonhunter is weak
The Scrapper gets Reveal on a 19 second cooldown as there F5, meanwhile Dragonhunters have to sacrifice a crucial skill slot for disgustingly bad Trap on a 45 second cooldown to gain access to reveal.
The Scrapper also gets a AOE bubble reflecting projectiles that is move-able as there F3 on a 24 second cooldown, while Wall of Reflection is on a 40 second cooldown and only reflects from one direction. Our Shield weapon bubble absorbs not reflects not move-able and its on a 24 second cooldown.
Whats the point in playing the Guardian or the Dragonhunter in HoT?
Every other profession can now do everything we can do but 10000% better.
What role does the Guardian/Dragonhunter play in raids? There is no reason to bring us anymore with all the overpowerd elite specs coming.
i agree with you 100%. no need for guard atm. since the beginning of the elite spec´s i´m thinking of switching my main profession… as much as i love the guard, there is no reason to play him anymore when you see all other professions do your stuff 10 times as good as you do..
don´t have much to say about the traits and virtues ( i have the same opinion about them like 90% here ). When it comes to the longbow… my suggestion is to make skill 2 VERY powerfull ( maybe sth like killshot ) at the same time when casting it, it will apply vulnerability to the guard. So we are taking a rist of casting this skill but if it hits it should do really high dmg or sth wich is rewarding the cast time.
I enjoyed the traps and i´m happy they increased the casting speed and switched the bleeding to daze ( bleeding is like the weakest condition in game and the guard has no other releationship to bleeding at all. We don´t have any other benefit when we apply bleeding to the enemy, burn, cripple, blind, immobilize gives us things like increased dmg or increased Precision).
The big problem with the traps is the lack of healing/ condi remove / stun break. You can be the hell of a dmg canon with the traps but after u used them and one enemy survived you have a big kitten problem…
it would be cool to have grandmaster trait that gives us boons / healing or sth like that when traps are hitting.
