100% untrue. I know a handful of people transferred to SBI and JQ just to see what was up. BG did not ally/truce with SBI.

That’s the unfortunate side effect of the fair weather transfers. Blackgate had a well earned reputation for being one tough group of people. That reputation led to mass transfers. Now BG is one of the most stacked servers out there, and it’s all too easy to say that’s the reason for BG rocketing up the brackets (because it’s probably true).

It’s baffling how most of the problems with the bracket system and WvW in general can be linked to free server transfers, and yet there’s been no action or word in what is obviously the issue in most dire need of attention.

Our rocket up was not only the transfers, but the loss of people from the servers we were facing/people calling it an automatic loss and refusing to fight because they see no point. People don’t realize that fighting nets you more rank points then not fighting.

I come onto these forums looking for decent chatter about WvW, not to see person after person beat down on a server based on the few things they were told. The past two match ups have been just as unfair to us as to the servers we are facing. This is unfortunate side effect of having an immature ranking system paired alongside mass player movement among servers.

Blackgate doesn’t want to be stomping servers week by week. That’s not fun for either party. We have around the clock coverage because we want to fight with the best or force others to up their game. We want a competition at the top. And above all else we want other servers nipping at our rear from T2.

Everyone is so hard headed and thinks Blackgate will continue to stomp.

Here’s what I have to say: We don’t even know if we can face the current best because we haven’t faced the current best in our current state. Watch next week’s match up closely. If it’s too one sided in either direction things will certainly change overnight regardless of the server.

If you want to continue hate continue the book burning below. If you want to make crude comebacks, now is the time.

However, if you want to make serious talk about the future of competitive WvW please comment below and I will thank you for being mature and trying to aide the community.

The reason HoD and ET servers died is simply because everyone stacked up on Blackgate.

Throw in the most EU guilds out of all NA servers and all you have is the same situation as before

One server with complete dominant coverage.

It is what it is.

Because a handful of severely deteriorated HoD guilds and questioning ET guilds constitutes stacking.

I am seeing the same excuses used against BG over and over again within this thread. The new xfers didn’t secure us the win (Although they have been helpful). We had a very poor weekend start due to many commander being busy/login queues. When Monday came around our queue settled down allowing more of our major W3 guilds to get on. The 23k point deficit turnaround was facilitated mostly by two guilds who have been around for awhile now (RQ and Urge). I don’t know how big of a role they played in holding on to the objectives in the morning, however I know a large number of people from Urge stayed on till late morning EST.

We have also had 3 EU guilds transfer to BG to help out during the night.

They are our new morning and pre-primetime presence. Our nighttime presence hasn’t been too bad lately.

I’m an Officer from Condottieri Guild [Cond] on BG. I help to manage the BWC alliance and stand on the same level as [RQ] Keripo within the alliance. I have spent many hours in and out of WvW networking with guilds and getting them to join our community.

I have never seen either of the guilds in question. Ever. I haven’t even heard of them through other alliance members.

I have never seen much fighting in WvW. I’ve seen a civil disagreement between two commanders, but never the childish kind of fighting you are mentioning.

I could go right now and talk to every nighttime player I know within the alliance and they will all say the same thing.

If you can provide chat logs, guild forums, names, ANYTHING, to back up your claim it would be great.

You missed the memo bro. The entire point of the post was that there is a hierarchy problem on BG and from your response I can tell you are part of the problem not the solution. I can also tell that you did not read the other responses to my post or even my responses in general since I have said multiple times that I never said these were WvW guilds NOR DID I EVER say that these guilds participated in WvW combat. I simply stated multiple times…over and over and over…that I and several of my friends some of whom are GM’s….2 of which have decided to transfer their guilds to DB based on the political structure of what we (I and my friends) have encountered in the hierarchy system displayed on WvW that you so stoically presented with your titles and rank in your response.

It’s my rank within my own guild. Clearly you haven’t been reading either.

Anyone can step up to run things in the alliance. I’m just stating that I am around enough to see what is going on.
