Guild Wars 2

This is an idea I had for a while. An armor set just for the Elementalist. Call it, “Prismatic Cloth” or something. It would be a very hard-to-attain set to get, but it would come with the very special ability of changing it’s colors depending on your attunement.

So say it turns Red when you’re attuned to fire,

Blue when attuned to water,

Violet when attuned to air,

and Brown when attuned to earth.

Now it wouldn’t be all one color. A really good armor with a single hue in mind has at least 3 shades. A light shade, a Medium, and a Dark.

The picture below is my Ele in Heritage gear. Notice that the trim is Malt, Most of it is Lava, and the middle of the chest is Heirloom. It’s good a good textural look going for it.

So something like this, only they change hues when you swap attunements. Is something like this doable?

You guys did an awesome job on the skill vids, only a nice chunk of them don’t reflect current gameplay. Water Trident and Meteor Shower doesn’t cause knockdown, Static Field and Arcing Arrow can’t be used that many times in succession, Grasping Dead doesn’t go out in a straight line anymore, You spawn 2 bone minions instead of 3, etc.

And holy crap, I’d love to hear those sound effects you hear on the skill vids in-game, but that’s another thread.

I’m asking for the skill videos to be updated, because I don’t want people getting the wrong idea about the gameplay. I showed some of these skill vids to a friend and most of his responses were variations of, “That’s overpowered.” in which I had to explain their actual mechanics.

Now some of you might say, “Well why don’t you show him a youtube vid?” Because showing it from the actual GW2 website is well.. It’s just better. Or would be if the skill vids were up to date.

So what do you all think? New skill videos that reflect the current gameplay?

I disagree on this being an issue for it can be countered with a little forethought.

Hackers/Cheaters were not the primary reason as to why the orbs were removed.

Hrmm, SoR getting second this week actually wouldn’t be so bad… SoS would go to T2 with their round the clock zergball and Crystal Desert with their lack of a sustained population would fall to T4. That’d make way for an SoR-Eredon-Tarnished Coast match-up that looks promising to me!

Interestingly enough, SoR had an extremely strong night presence during the weekend and gained 20k plus points on Sunday early morning and day. Not sure what happened last night (I’m guessing people work during the week) but SoS played PvDoor to make it up (I’m on SoS btw).

N/A primetime has been really fun during the weekend and I felt pretty even.

Oh and one more thing. Even if SoR won this match, as long as SoS came in second, SoS would still move up to the next tier and SoR would stay in T3.

SoR skipped an entire tier, so that’s okay.

Drink more coffee then.

Score update. SoR has all three orbs and it looks like they’re just right on SoS’ heels. CD needs to step up their game and soon as they’re trailing roughly 4k points.

Overflow is a combination of servers.

I did not know this. Neither did a lot of my guildmates. We didn’t get the memo!

There are just some people who should only experience the forums in exciting, “read only mode” and it’s those people who badly reflect their own servers as well as make fools of themselves.

Two months? If ANET cannot see the issues after two months then they are not paying attention. The player base is not asking for more content or anything like that. They are asking them to fix current content.

Fixing content is actually a lot harder than creating new content.

And TW is more than welcome to stay! I don’t mind transfers that come and stick around for the long haul. I love those guilds! I mind those individuals who transfer only to join a winning side and then leave the moment the, “weather” starts to get rainy.

Giving it time so that Anet can fix the issues won’t fix the issues? Please try to imagine how much they already have on their plates.

Just give it time. Game’s not even two months out there are a lot of issues that need to be worked out.

As for now. Yaks need to get the kitten together. Or at least grow some nuts and stop standing next to the invulnerability zone. And that goes for GoM too. Both of which can do very well when they want to. And make for some epic PvP fights.

So wait…you’re sitting on our stairs…sometimes with 20+ people and occasionally even siege…and you want us to come out? Why would we? Sorry…I’m going to stand there until someone foolishly comes into my kill zone and take my free badges thankyouverymuch!

And this is why that server should be nuked. If you baddies want to continue being bad, I suggest jumping off cliffs in non WvW. Otherwise, get out of that zone and fight. Cause SoR is bored just sitting at your gate till Yaks or your “Zerg” come from behind and wipe a party of 5. That apparently was able to hold off a group of 10+ that had the Determined buff.

I would appreciate it if you do not insult our competition and risk getting this thread locked again.

I would also appreciate it if you showed better sportsmanship than this. Right now, SoR is kinda getting a bad rep from all the crap sportsmanship and that’s not how we conduct ourselves.

coming from the guy calling people on his own server crap stains? because you think its “your” server and other people cant come play there? your attitude is poor. Before you give people a lecture on how to conduct themselves you should probably learn to conduct yourself a bit better.

I spoke of the fair-weather server-hoppers who transfer to our server for selfish reasons. Those who will most likely leave the moment they see that our server is losing, and another guild for transferring to Yaks Bend in order to spam their recruitment messages there while trying to represent SoR. People who only hinder our server and dishonor the man it was named after. Do not tell me that I have a poor attitude.

Speaking of crap-stain xfers. I was informed that a guild on our side went over to Yaks Bend and tried to poach people out of their server.

I’d like to let the people of Yaks Bend know that we do not condone this. As a matter of fact, VR is nothing more than a crap-stain on SoR. They lied as you can see from the screenshot below as, “100% Sanctum of Rall” as their guild leader says it in Yak’s Bend’s server. VR is not representative of our server in the least bit and it angers me to see something like this happen.

Honestly, I’d love to go up against top tier servers and probably get our kittens handed to us.

We’d learn from it and shed our, “fair-weather” crap-stains when they see that we’re losing.

They’re kinda like free signets when you think about it.

The only things I could say are about these three points:

“-Zerg Guild: Spamming guild invites to anyone that walks by, constantly spamming in lions and in the WvW lakes that your guild is recruiting.

-Trying to get all guilds to disband and join your guild, to have one mega zerg guild.

-Wasting Slots in the WvW/EB: having your guild meetings in the WvW for hours,
taking up much needed slots which could be used for active players."

Now if these three in particular are true, then I can see that a lot of the anger towards FL is justified.

As for the first point, I don’t care what you do in LA. But in WvW if you’re spamming recruitment messages, then any relevant WvW chatter gets scrolled up for people who are actually reading it. In fact, if you did this while I was playing, I’d have blocked you immediately. There are far more important things that could be said in WvW than, “Such and such guild is recruiting.”

On the other hand, if you’re just saying, “Hey. FL is doing a guild event here.” Then that’s okay. So long as you aren’t being disruptive.

On the second point, trying to get guilds to disband is.. If anything a major disrespect to those guilds and something no one but the officers/leaders of said guilds should even talk about.

On the third point. If you are having your guild meetings in WvW then you are wasting valuable space for other players to come in and fight. In WvW it’s either, “lead, follow, or get out.” Holding a guild meeting in WvW is not productive to WvW. It just wastes space. I’m pretty sure a lot of players in SoR would appreciate it if your guild held a meeting before going into WvW.

Lastly, if your guild does in fact have members that are “talking crap” about SoR, then that overall hurts your guild’s reputation. Big time. Now, like I said. I don’t know if any of these are true or not since no one has yet to post even a screenshot. That said, this anger has to come from somewhere.

I’d like to see some screenshots of these incidents.

And I’d also like to hear from representatives of VIG, GSCH, EPIC, FMC, and WAR though I doubt some would comment.

No point Soj, every time someone claims SoR people hacked into a tower, everyone runs around shouting it was a Mesmer that waited inside. Tbh, that’s ridiculous, anyone being honest with themselves knows it just doesn’t happen that often.

And why can’t it? Maybe the tunnel-visioned, “Follow the leader” type players/sheep at Darkhaven are just really bad at scanning their newly-taken keeps for Mesmers.

I can’t speak from experience as to if SoR has hackers, but if it was a hacker, I don’t blame the whole server. But it is still unfair and unreasonable to expect people to scan for “hackers”.

Also Mesmers who wait inside after a keep was flipped for example is completely legit, but as it stands Mesmers can also use portals to exploit and bypass gates from the outside which could make them just as wrong as a hacker.

Except it doesn’t count as an exploit in any way shape or form. Not only that, but you can counter the strategy by sweeping for Mesmers after taking a keep. SoR may have a few hackers, but we’re actually very good sports about them and do what we can to report them on our side. When we get them, they are quickly noticed and reported.

Keep ignoring everything I say until it sounds good to you. There are currently classes that can use buggy skills to bypass the gate even if they’ve never been inside. THIS IS AN EXPLOIT. If a mesmer does it, then they put a portal down and let everybody in, they are cheating.

Mmm’no it isn’t. You can say that it is until you’re blue in the face but doesn’t matter because hiding a mesmer in a keep to pop a portal down is a valid strategy for quickly recapping keeps from sheep players who don’t bother to look around for any stragglers.

So far, I have yet to even hear a whisper of a single person being warned, let alone banned for using the portal this way.

This, by the way is what happens when you guys decide to give up just because you’re losing against Sanctum of Rall.

When we got our kitten together, we became a steamroller. Darkhaven and Sorrow’s Furnace became a new road for us to pave over.

Does this apply only to every different boon? Or can I stack one boon and the damage will increase further?
