Maybe just make that every server have same amount players in every map. If we have one player enemies should have one player too. That would be fair.

The pugs arent paying for expensive keep upgrades, they arent sieging up defensively, they arent as coordinated or skilled, they arent getting superior siege, they dont go for gollems at the right time.

Ours do. We’ve got the best darn militia out there … They do all this stuff and more innately. Why? Because we treat them with respect, and we invest in them and train them. We value our militia.

Our militia has for months been the reason why we kept any ppt during our weak times. They often made it easier handoff to our primetime guys. And now we are sitting at the top of tier 2, likely heading into tier 1 in the future.

You get out what you put in.

I made a destinction between pugs and dedicated WvW players. If you have people putting in the effort of upgrading and sieging, you arent dealing with pugs anymore. Those are dedicated WvW players.
When talking about pugs, we mean the weekend warriors, the types who just want to be on the winning server and ride that coattail of succes, but have no interest of actually putting in the effort.

Big difference, and far as i can tell those are the kind of people that flooded unto SFR. Drowning the dedicated players and guilds in long queue’s.

No you said that only the hardcore guilds do this, I believe, but it doesn’t matter.

TC’s fighting force is collectively made up of so many small guilds and solo players. If you look at any video showing our battles, you’ll easily see a half dozen tags all mixed in together. Our big hardcore guilds on the server work tirelessly and cooperatively with everyone, whether solo, small guild, or another big guild. I guess I should count my blessings as it sounds like that is pretty unique.

I understand about the server hopping crowd. I understand the frustration. But out of our pugs (we call them militia), our guilds big and small have encouraged an environment of cooperation, rather than an us vs them attitude. We have our arguments, sure, but the overall desire to work together surpasses all that.

I guess what I’m saying is work WITH these people rather than flame them. If you’re on a map and you can’t work with your guild mates directly … round up some of these pugs, give them some basic instruction, and encourage them when they show improvement. Who knows? These server hopping weekend warriors could be your guildies next week.

Work with what you have, not against it.

Sounds like you actually care about score. In 7 months any overall win haven’t really mean anything for me. Sure it’s fun win battles with guild, but i couldn’t care kitten if we win or lose.

SFR have always been about guilds. Usually one or two guilds did handle one map almost alone and when they logged out sfr did lose everything in that map. Sure it could be good idea change, but i don’t have motivation teach anybody. PUGs could just make guild, think about builds, make some battle plan and go farm frenchies.

Well PUGs still wiped bigger viz blob 4 times inside keep without commander, but it probably tell more about viz.

Current state is awesome. WvW would be so much more fun without keeps, towers and score.

Iron fill whole map and whine that they have only 2 guild in map. Well it’s kind of problem when you invite every player who manage find their way in www.

Funny part is that i actually think that iron was real guild before. I don’t know maybe their leader quit or something. I just can’t respect PUG horders.

Puggy herders are required on every server and are a major part of how a server functions.
Having one large, recognisable guild doing it is even better, because even when you don’t recognise the commander names, you see the guild tag and know what to expect.

I noticed SFR was lacking there, even though I didn’t get the rudeness experience other people talk about, there is simply nothing to DO if you’re not in a guild.
I’ve seen sin doing some herding (<3), and zds once or twice, but for the rest if you see a commander it’s like YAYCOMMANDER….. Oh, wait, there’s 5 people on him…. Well, not like there’s anything else to do i guess.
I’m talking outside primetime now, during primetime I was preoccupied and didn’t see how commanders/pugs worked.

Well at least zds have some kind of point who they invite in guild. I did try to join zds and Fanfaron said that only lada owners can join.

Pain inverter is an Asuran skill, not a Ranger Skill.

Well you got Spanish army who did nightcap alone every night. Of course RG did stole all good members, some other Spanish guild did flee and those who did stay following iron blob.

I would say Eles are head and shoulders above the rest since they can do everything. Borderline OP might be thieves (deadly in roaming groups but they dont bring anything to zerg battles, solo they aren’t as good as they were prior to the nerf train) and damage burst/utility mesmers, the other classes seem about on par with eachother, minus ranger which is at the bottom (but still viable),

Thiefs can kill enemy commander.

So deso after all that bandwagoning doesn’t even try to be number one?

Iron enjoying www? You blob and only reason why anybody would blob in this game is winning, but seems like you can’t win even if you blob. We still plan to play www once/week like before and doesn’t really matter if we kill vabbi players.

Even EB PUG should know that enemy won’t spawn in supply camp.

I think that most of guilds did go sfr at launch because they don’t like PUGs. It’s was kind of clear that after pwning in beta all PUGs will bandwagon in deso.

I would love to see a server that is essentially a PvP server. The only people you cannot attack are fellow guild mates and throw in a small handful of safe areas such as Lions Arch. Would be nice to allow guilds to ally themselves as well. Add in some rotating map based objectives and suddenly we have dozens of new maps, enemies to kill and tactics to develop.

Or you could teleport whole guild in other server and kill stuff. Would be hilarious gank people when they try to do PvE events.

I think that aNet should let www be random zerging and start to focus GvG.

SFR don’t have any PUGs, but we have lot’s of roamers. They are little bit like PUGs, but useless.

Our multiple last stands today on EB keep reminded me of Orr events farming. Now I’m curious whether CoF farming or defending against teamed up Deso and VS is more profittable.

A guildie got 3 this week, 2 x venom and one dawn (yep), in loot bags from Deso/SFR.

Impossible, vizunah players get like 1 kill every hour.

Maybe national servers have better loot chance. By the way devs Malta still waiting own national server.

Iron is +60 and zerg is 30-60.

Our situation is so bad that we don’t call it zerging anymore because zerg is just too tiny word, it’s called ironing nowadays.

Well it was deso who started whining. We have ignored deso like weeks and one night we attack them they start to whine about it.

Why would it be interesting?
