At which point i say: They target those that are worthy…Worthy as in wealthy. If they managed to gain a slight access to the DB, they can just see who has some gold worth and mark them and get their way.

Well, kitten, even if this would be my fault, sorry for the trouble, but you’re the ones that are in charge with my security more or less. If you or I had a breach, they would be like the bodyguards, clearing up the intruders and restoring the goods.

And Loli Ruri, yes, you can always fear that. But a few tips imo…Don’t brag…Don’t tell what you have…I had a few people knew that i was 2 gold away from my legendary, ergo all the stuff i had + precursor were worth quite a lot.

I’ve also made a thread regarding the temple of balthazar buggs, which allowed any “interested customer” to see my sittuation and take me as a target…

So basically, unless you keep a low profile or aim for little things that don’t draw attention: Like no money, no shiny armor, no legendary, who knows…you might be safer

But i agree with Sacha. There are SO MANY easy ways to prevent this kind of theft…

ArenaNet said they had the authorization thingy for an email change back in GW1 and people complained. Well in all honesty i couldn’t care less if people complained as long as that lowers the risks of account hack by half.

Also Sacha i wasn’t lucky enough. I couldn’t log back in to even see the damage, though from the experience on my first hack, if they stole every little bit then, right now at this worth, they prob even deleted my chars for all i know. Fuucking chinese botts.

Also, i think you guys are understaffed…I sent a mail to support in the first 5 minutes after the hack (when the guy was online since my guildies kept trying to reach him while he was doing his thing), and he was online for 5-10 more minutes after i sent the email. If you had someone to look just into account security breaches 24/7 (god knows i’d even pay for that) that would have 1—> given you the hacker since you’d have caught him redhanded 2—> ease my suffering and maybe even damage…

So many things you could do…Not asking for the world here…

They had 11 000 or something like that accounts hacked after release.

Now the hacks started again, aiming for people that actually are worth something…

I sincerely am selfish enough to say, i WANT to see my good restored, not just future safety…

I mean come on, 900 hours wasted on this to be thrown away and start from scratch? This is inhumane! And they can not say they have no logs to check and see 1—> What you have (had) and 2—> What happened

Well, i first got my account hacked at the beginning of September, for no obvious reasons. The hacker sold and stole every little thing i had and left me naked. I got my account back in about 5 days, from scratch, and i started building it up again.

Now i got kicked from the game with a notice that someone else logged on my account, and guess what? Pew pew, email address changed, you dear sir are kitten.e.d.

I was 2 gold and a Temple of Balthazar clear away from getting my Sunrise. (2 gold in cash, the mats i had were worth quite a god kitten lot)

So do tell me, how is this possible? HOW THE HELL can they hack my account again when i changed my e-mail address password like a week ago or so, and my GW2 Acc password 2 days ago after someone just complained about being hacked?

If they managed to hack my account again, does that mean they have access to your database? Which implies they have access to my/our personal information? From who we are to where we live and even our money? I mean come on…YOU HAVE to improve your god kitty kitten security already.

I’m guessing even if i get my account back in a few days again, i’ll be left yet again stripped naked without a dime and with no more legendary, right? I played about 900 hours to reach this point since release. Think about it before saying: Yeah, sure, just start from scratch again

In case any Staff member EVER reads these threads (which doesn’t seem so plausible since i bearly saw any responses around here) :

For the love of god, Temple of Balthazar has been an issue for months and months now, yet you seem to not give the SLIGHTEST KITTY (since kitten would overtake my kitten).

We asked you nicely to either fix it, or remove the event, or simply change the vendor. I’ve been waiting to get my shards for so long now that i just wait all day in Lion’s Arch like an idiot after seeing that the NPCs for the events are bugged as usual.

Could you please, preety please, i beg you, pretend to care and actually do something about it?

P.S: Sorry for the rage, but it’s a little thing we ask of you (concerning this atleast) and since it’s an impediment for so many (and not just a cry for nerfing like some lazy kitten kittens) you could ensure a fix. Regards.

No one is forcing you to go higher in level. If you want to go higher and progress (ergo be a rather “hardcore” gamer), join a guild, get a stable group.

A PuG without any communication between them, that has no interest in understanding the game mechanics should not be able to go even up to level 10.

So, again, the normal resolve for this: Get a stable group of people you can rely on.

P.S: Don’t blame ArenaNet. It was about time they added some new and harder content for those that really want to test their skills and not just farm it in 2 minutes and get bored.

A server’s overflow with cleared Balthazar’s Temple would be great

I have to agree. There’s a reason for which it’s LEGENDARY. Not everyone is supposed to have it… There should be a few % of the pop that would even consider legendaries, not 50% to consider it and 30% to get it. (random numbers)

The 7 day waiting for a transfer is understandable…

But what i don’t understand is why it’s only bugged on some servers. It’s bugged on Ruins of Surmia for the last 3 days already…NPCs just sitting there. Why does it work on other servers?

If someone will sell you the item, he’ll sell it when you outbid the last guy with either 1 copper or 1 gold. It’s the same thing. Just that when people like you, with no brains whatsoever regarding the consequences, place orders like that thinking it will help them somehow, they mess up the economy for the rest of the players.

You want to pay “whatever” because you feel like a rich egotistical guy? Buy it instantly my friend, don’t place offers.

Now, i’m one of those that are not really happy with the current sittuation of the market, n’or do i despise it so bad. I mostly just dislike the huge price differences between mats of the same importance, ergo imbalance overall.

BUT, and a big BUT … In half the times the prices go up skyrocket, it’s because of random people messing up, (so i won’t say other bad words) not thinking a freaking second before placing an order.

So, if you want an item, and it’s current price is 50 silver, it’s current highest offer is 40 silver, and you want to place an offer for that item (especially in bulk), my friends… You DO NOT place an offer for 45-49 silver for the love of god. No, you outbid the last guy with 1 copper, keeping a balance in the economy. That way, the next one to outbid you won’t have to go upper and upper, rasing the price of the item in an exorbitant way. No, it will go up slightly, 1 copper at a time, untill a supplier comes in and restores it to the previous price.

So, what have we learned today? Stop kittening up the economy, and think twice before placing an offer that will cause imbalance. Just because you raise the offer in an absurd way, doesn’t mean you will get what you want. No, someone just as desperate or more will outbid you and so on, messing everything up.

Please keep this in mind if you want a stable economy. Thanks.

Bowmaster, the difference is, some of us are or like to act like hardcore gamers. I’m sort of an achievment kitten for example, and my purpose is to explore the entire content and manage to get things faster than others. If i’ve been stuck for 2 weeks here because of Lodestones, it kind of sucks.

Ergo, i have no intention of waiting a few more months just to hope for a change, when these legendaries will be owned by each and every person walking in LA

Well, in a conspiracy view it does —> Raise prices on the thing that’s needed most and people can’t get —> Force them to buy it from Trading Post —> Control Market and watch the cash flow

I’m updating my farm status. Farmed Sparks in Malchor’s Leap (temple of Dwayna north and south) and Cursed Shore for 8 hours and a half, with around 150-160% magic find increase, and only got ONE Lodestone. One…

So, therefore, it’s easier to just farm like a chinese bott and get gold and buy them off the Trading Post.

Thanks for your understanding ArenaNet…If you ever bother to read this topic, we’d kindly apreciate an answer, a reason for which you let us “enjoy” this imbalance, and not do anything about it.

Onyx i never farmed, but i got them on a preety decent chance from TA. Corrupted on the other hand, i get like 2-3 per hour the least if i’m farming the elementals that spawn at Claw of Jormag.

So yes, if i can get 2 corrupted lodestones per hour, why can’t they apply the same drop chance for Charged ones? Why should others have it easier?

I farmed the sparks for 4-5 hours, and was lucky enough to get one Lodestones with like 150-60% magic find gear (and by farming i mean kitten chinese-bott-farmer-wannabe farm)

So yes, if i’m just as lucky from now on, 4-500 hours of farming gameplay and i’ll have the Lodestones. Then again there is no guarantee

Well at least you manage to farm them. I did 5 CoE runs, got 1 Core. And my server NEVER seems to clear Temple of Dwayna, so no chance to farm sparks alone. hurray

Trust me, precursor is indeed your last problem. All the others mats (especially if you need Charged Lodestones) will take you about 4-500 gold the least, and you need a ton of Karma and whatnot. Get everything else, and by the time you have those, you’ll prob. have earned enough to even buy precursor straight

The Lodestone transmutation or purchase via dungeon tokens are the best fixes so far.

I mean it wouldn’t really be hard…But it’s not fair to get Glacial/Molten/Corrupted without breaking a sweat, and having to farm like a mad man for months on and on to get a few Charged ones.

Would really be nice if a staff member would reply with an oppinion if not a sollution.

So yes, i’d rather throw you a Dusk and get the market to a state of balance, than reach the point where lodestones are 16 s, 40s, 1g, 4g etc

It’s 3g 20 at the moment. Also, Starlink, you’re talking about Onyx Lodestones.

Onyx Lodestones seem to be much easier obtained..Either higher drop chance or beats me. Those are worth 1g and something, which is decent enough, i’m willing to buy them for that price..But not for 3g 20 like Charged Lodestones.

And Melchiz, you are right about the intervention being required. Sadly though, i doubt they will even bother reading the complaints, let alone do something about it. Don’t know if that’s because they are too busy or simply not interested in the oppinions of those that play.

Well i specified mobs and chests. Figured there’d be a drop chance on mobs aswell.

Still, we’re on the same point here, that chances are horrible…Why then? Shouldn’t Lodestones have the same chances, same values and whatnot? What’s supposed to make them more or less special? So that someone that crafts a bow or whatnot can make it easier, and someone that crafts Sunrise can slit his wrists.

I also checked BLT again, prices went to 5g and then to 3g 20 per lodestone..Absurd

The prices for Charged Lodestones were starting from 2g 30s a few hours ago, and there were like 100 +/- available. Now they are all gone, so i’m guessing prices will increase even more.

It’s absurd to say the least, to have such differences between lodestones. From Glacial ones at 15 silver to charged ones that are extinct.

People suggested farming them in CoE or from sparks on Cursed Shore or Malchor’s Leap. Since your lovely mittigation (which ruined any chance of getting a legendary weapon smooth since karma farm is also damaged) won’t allow you to really farm them there, CoE seemed to be the best resolve.

CoE is so far the hardest dungeon i encountered on EM. CoF / TA that drop Onyx and Molten Lodestones are a walk in the park to say the most. So i did 2 runs of CoE, that took me a while thank god, and with 170% magic find i only got a few blue items from everything (mobs and chests).

So do tell me, if i’m not overreacting here, how is one supposed to get 100 Charged Lodestones in such conditions? Ever considered BALANCING the game? There are a few factors that are just impossible to miss…You could really consider changing them.

ArenaNet staff…Some people complained about RNG, about the immense ammount of farm needed in the game, about PvP imbalance and so on…

There are a lot of issues with the game in the current state, but hey, it’s a new, fresh game, it’s only normal to have issues to begin with. I got my account hacked, i encountered so many bugs that caused delay in progression, material losses and so on, but not once have i complained via a topic.

But WvW…Now this is just ridiculous…Leaving aside the outstanding imbalance between servers, which only makes people from crappy servers move to the ones that are dominating the field, making their server even worse, there are things that really should concern you.

Ok, you don’t care about our joy, you don’t care about making it fun and fair for us, but what about yourselves? Botts my friends, botts.

In each and every god kitten Borderland, the waters are farmed 24/7 by botts from the 2/3 leading servers. On Ruins of Surmia (my server), we’ve been dominated by Drakkar or w/e (DE), some other DE server, and Vabbi again. Each of those have a group of 10+ botts in the waters farming 24/7.

I don’t know if you as staff members can or can not interefere directly with the game (but i find it only logical that you can), but would it not be at LEAST wise of you to just implement a system that monitors that zone alone, or just send one of your members on ocasion to check the waters and throw in 10-15 bans?

Think about it…The game itself will hopefully balance out with time, because it sure has flaws now even if it is great otherwise…But botts ruin the fun and economy for us, but most important, for you.

Indeed, it would be great if they would implement some sort of Cash On Delivery system at least if not a proper trading system.

But since they don’t seem to intend anything alike anytime soon, it’s best people don’t consider trading via Forums as a viable option (though it seems to happen sometimes)

And since The Legend prices started dropping for some reason, i sold it (losing 55 gold…) and going to either invest in trying to get Dusk or just buy it from BLT.

I can fully understand your point, and you are right, but for example i was aiming for Dusk, yet in the hundreds of rares i used, i also used Staves, maces, swords, shields, hammers, if i got them at a right price. Because lets face it, if i get another precursor, i dont mind some profit. Thanks for the wishes.

Actually i have to agree with you. When i saw your screenshot and the stuff in your bank, i first thought you’re either one kitten rich kitten, or a bot xD But still, that gave somewhat of a guarantee compared to a lvl 10 guy that wants to trade ^^

Well, i’ve seen a previous topic started a little while ago that asked for a Dusk in exchange for Dawn. I myself was very skeptical about the outcome of the trade since most people are “insert random bad word” that aim for scamming.

But since their trade worked out, i’m willing to give it a shot. I belive the trade to be the least fair, since The Legend was worth a bit more than Dusk the last days from what i’ve seen.
