We held our own very well in those conditions and you could accept it and not look for reasons. Also, I do not know about your relations with S P A R K though i kind of doubt it myself, but I wouldn’t be surprised if you had a few exploiters amongst your numbers, and it’s not something you can fully control on that scale

Yes, RUS has hackers, and for a while now…No, RUS has nothing to do with Xaoc. I for one have not seen the Xaoc abusers, but i do belive Ilesyt if he says there were some.

However, Xaoc has great numbers, so you guys can face the fact that there’s a chance for such a thing to happen amongst your numbers.

Also, objectively speaking, Demannu, you gotta agree that the resistance we put up on Bay, the 6-7 of us against your numbers, with a limited supply and siege was quite something. Indeed you took it the second time since some idiot queued up an upgrade (/facepalm).

The fights against Xaoc are fun, though a bit demoralising due to your numbers. You guys are well organised, but your scouting teams outnumber us 4 to 1 atleast, so meh, good thing there are still some lowbies around that balances out stuff a little.

P.S.: FoW, you guys were outnumbered a while ago due to your inactive players…But at the moment, we’re getting Outmanned buff in WvW..You guys pushed in one day with about 6-7 Omega Golems and god knows how many Alphas and not to mention huge numbers. When zergs are compared, in numbers, FoW deffo outnumbers Surmia. Just that we’re more stable during the entire day (except nights). So yeah, i’d agree with you if it was November or something…But now, face it, you’re quite stronger, we’re just a tad more organised in our messy ways

A lot of people are so small minded…If anyone wants to duel, since they might want to do something else for their entertainment, it’s their choice, and you could respect it.

You don’t need to be a brainless mongrel to just bash everything in your path you know? If that’s all there is to WvW for you, then the real issue with your team losing points is not the guy dueling, it’s the guy that only knows how to bash stuff, thus leaving out the more subtle actions.

Well that was the end of it. It was an enjoyable week no doubt, and regarding the pact, there were way more who did not respect it than those that did.

Also Neandramathal, if one person asked you about such a thing, for all i know maybe just to try and rebuild relationships with you, that doesn’t mean the whole server agrees on it. Don’t let your hate or whatever you wish to call it for RoS blind your judgement.

The feeling of satisfaction (along with a slight one of superiority indeed) is preety much what the legendary is about. Yes, it is hear people complimenting you on what you’ve achieved and how nice it looks, no doubt, but the feeling that you’ve achieved something you worked for a long time is really the most important bit.

This game has covered all the little things, and everything is done so that casual gamers can get their thing going. EVERYTHING. Legendaries were the only thing that made the game slightly more interesting for those that don’t just play casually and want to work more for something and be able to stand proud on it after. Yes, call it bragging, but it’s just like in life → You do something that not many can do, you can and will be proud.

So the fact that now you can just flip some things on Trading Post (and no, i’m not saying that is easy, ‘cause otherwise i’d do it too aswell) and get everything this game has to offer…We could really use something that money can’t buy..

It is indeed sad, that now the easiest way to get a legendary is to play the market…

The whole point of the legendary was to basically show you are a player that wanted to spend his time working for something out of the ordinary…Not something that any gold buyer, bott, gold seller, guy that spends a few hours flipping some stuff on Trading Post can get.

RNG or not, hard or not, the legendary was supposed to be a PERSONAL achievement, not a freaking currency for the Trading Post… It’s just dissapointing.

I’m really curious though, why? How is it helping ArenaNet (except people that will buy gems to convert to gold to be able to buy a legendary) to allow such a…bad thing to say it nicely?

Bartho, my man…Charged Cores/Lodestones seem to have a much smaller drop chance than Glacial or any other for that matter. Molten Cores/Lodestones drop like candy indeed, Corrupted, same, easily farmable, Onyx ones are fairly decent if you do TA or farm earth elementals…But in about 2-3 months of farming Charged Cores and Lodestones (sparks or CoE or fractals lately) i’ve only gotten like 1 Lodestone and 4 Cores. And yes, i’ve used full Magic Find set.

So yes, don’t act all bravehearted. You haven’t really experienced anything so far, you’re just talking out of your shell. Once you’ll be in the same posture, you’ll slowly back off.

Also, indeed, since all the drop rates for preety much everything on everything have been nerfed, farming or fighting for something doesn’t seem viable much longer.

Therefore, the ones that will dominate the game will be the Trading Post flippers and manipulators. kitten, i mean if they can even buy legendary weapons from Trading Post now, it’s clear, this game is all about playing the Market, not about working for something

Then how do you explain the Lemons, the power boosters and whatnot, stuff that is account bound or not even obtainable? How were you able to place offer for those since they couldn’t be sold in the first place?

Judging by your logic, someone has already sold Twilight on Trading Post in order for those players to put up offers for it. But for that guy to have sold Twilight, someone else must have done it before him. So who did it first when no one else offered the weapon? It makes no sense mate.

And i don’t know. I tried putting up my Sunrise (just as a test) a week or so ago, and it did not work. I still find it a big waste to trade Legendaries on Trading Post…

Mohmohchan, sorry mate but you are mistaken. The moment you get the legendary, it’s soulbound on USE! That means you can give it to your other characters.

Problem is, when i opened the Trading Post window for my Sunrise, i had no option of putting it up. And if you lookup sunrise on TP, it’s not there. Not even to order…So why can Twilight be ordered/sold?

No because they also need exploration + the karma + gift of battle. That’s a little comfort, that those pricks exploiting or buying gold have a harder time getting the legendary.

And the whole point of making the legendary was not to buy everything from the TP. Some people can’t afford doing that so they’d rather farm. Anyhow, as i said, it’s just my oppinion, that it’s really messed up and just a way of making money via gem to gold conversion. (thus making gold sellers even more frequented)

Figured that means it was a bug to begin with (the fact that you could place orders)

I got my Sunrise and it appeared in the Trading Post window but wasn’t able to put it up (didn’t really insist on it though since it was just to check for myself)

So yeah, in my honest oppinion it’s the utmost dumbest and insert random bad oppinions here thing to be able to sell legendaries on TP (no offence intended to those that think otherwise)

What’s up with this? You can preety much buy every material needed for it except a few, and now you can just buy it completely? It’s kind of…kittenty to say so.

It’s supposed to be a hard work and feeling of achievment to succeed in getting a legendary, not just a gold farm, or gold buying, or god knows what else.

It is preety funny because they said the content will not be disable throughout Wintersday, so i didn’t bother myself to buy Keys BEFORE the actual event…

So yeah, it’s clearly disabled because of that, but it’s kind of lame that they lied about it as an official response

OP, i fully understand your pain xD

My first 40 clovers i got with a 1/3 ratio. So from like about 120-130 shards…

The last 2 days i worked on my last 16 clovers…I used 149 attempts for the 16 clovers (with 1 recipe)…Which was just insane i got to say. + the last 10 (when i was ready to go berserk) i used a 10 recipes and got 10 clovers…Otherwise the number might have been bigger.

Well our problems against your night crew are only “problems” because you outnumber us and because we have to keep Vabbi at bay aswell xD If it was just RoS vs FoW, then we’d keep you steady np.

I still laugh at this topic…Last night was one of the many nights that proved a point… About 5 hours before and until the reset you’ve outnumbered us on each and every BL (i was gone at reset) and had 2 zergs at a time mostly, which was just hell.

I doubt we’re “omgwtfbbq so high population”, but rather some of FoW lost their interest for a real fight and need to be pushed into doing something.

+ I second Neandramathal, we were so close to going up, and you just had to use everything you had to keep us here -.- raise fist in anger

If anyone recieved the email from Gaile, it is legit and whatnot (i feared it wasn’t initially, before i even got to read her comment) but you must follow the exact instructions in it, or else it seems the offer falls.

So don’t try to get a backup, don’t try to save valuables in case something bad happens, don’t try anything…just leave it be…Or you’ll end up wishing you didn’t even get your hopes up in the first place.

Don’t get me wrong Gaile, i was hacked in September myself, and i looked up the incident on the internet since it took 3-4 days to get my acc back, and people were stating you had about 10k acc hacked.

I am not working for ArenaNet so i did not know that for a fact, i just stated what i read someplace else.

Also, i second Irontodge in what he said, and lets hope you figure out the flaw part aswell.

The way to change one’s email is still done via tickets on support, ergo, hackers kind of had the blessing of the staff to go on xD

Well i’m joking (not really). But the point is, it’s done via support seeing how that’s the only way to change email. Now the real question is: Did they get all our info (like serial code/bills/CC info and whatnot) or was it simply a flaw in ArenaNet’s system

Mostly every person that was hacked had all the security measures taken + even mobile authenticator and whatnot. I can understand your doubts, seeing how it’s normal to first blame the minority instead of the majority (us vs arenanet).

But i’m afraid you’re wrong. We were not responsable for any of these, it was a planned hit on certain characters, the hackers even took time to talk back. It was related to ArenaNet’s system, not ours.

Anyhow, i’m sure if you’d get hacked with your “increased security” you’ll figure that out yourself.

P.S: Since i didn’t spend any $ on gems, yet had 2 precursors + 2g away from Legendary and a lot of kitten, thus i was worth quite something, knowing that i was hacked back in septemeber, my biggest fear each and every day was getting hacked again…Trust me, it didn’t relate to weak security.

Also, when i was hacked in September, i bearly started playing since it was freshly released. And it was working the same, with email changing request…

Which means what? They had access to my info back then, before i ever used GW forums or any other forum regarding the game.

Well the email can only be changed via ticket from support, right?

So that means they already have the info from your account before they actually change anything, then they go to support and make a ticket asking for an email change. To ask for the change implies to know one’s info, like the serial code, the order number and whatnot, for all i know even the last 4 digits of the CC used to purchase.

So, the hacker has our initial account info and the “deeper” info needed to request an email change.

Now, if they only have info regarding your Guild Wars account, and not your email (say that’s still safe), re-implementing the authorization email on the initial address you were using would preety much prevent this.

Freyn, back in septemeber when the issue was taken first, with the email confirmation, they said they had the same system in GW1 and people complained that it’s too complicated, and if they have an issue with they’re old e-mail address, they can’t reach it to aprove it.

But, this way it just says: please, feel free to hack, no one will stop you.

The authorization goes to the second email address that you request to be used…

Which is rather a bad idea. Would be great if that would be changed

Well, those that bought my 400 ecots and whatnot can keep their items. They paid for them, so it’s only normal to keep them.

BUT, they can just add the items that went missing from my inventory without removing them from those that bought them. And it’s not supposed to be as hard as you make it sound…I mean WoW managed it easily, why couldn’t they?

I ran scans about 3 times in the last week, and nothing came up.

Also i do not use a mobile authenticator sadly. I might change that if i get my account back and decide to start from scratch again..

Also, why would the launch of the restoration service mark the earliest point that they can go back to? I mean they have the kitten logs, it would be such an easy task to just go back a bit further for those that lost their entire game, and not just for those that will have that problem in the future..
