Wondering if [Gun Flame] has a bounce or an AOE that would cause it to hit twice.

Tell me this skill isn’t hitting twice “as intended” for these numbers on such a short CD.

Thanks everyone for your responses! This seems to be a really divisive topic. I can definitely tell which of you responders play Thief and which of you don’t!

I genuinely don’t have a problem with thieves in general. They die pretty quick in the current burst-or-be-burst meta. I just think it’s a little weird that a class has access to this kind of damage with no cool down. Ten seconds would be fair. I’m not sure ArenaNet has noticed this kind of play.

At the end of the day, you’re Asura. No one is gonna see your skins anyways, because you’re ultra tiny.

Cross your fingers with me that we get PURPLE SUPER ADVENTURE BOX skins someday. Those will be dope.

Every shatter mesmer runs into this eventually; anyone who tells you to switch your build is not helping; we don’t need buffs, nerfs, or patches. Just adapt to the current meta. Here’s some tips I’ve picked up along the way.

Interrupt their stealths.
Remember they still take damage in stealth, so keep the pressure up.
When you see the SR pop, they’re on tilt. Go for the throat. Knock them out with GS 5 and finish them.
Camp Staff 5. Keep Chaos Armor up by leaping through that field, and then Staff 4 when it drops.
Phase Retreat can save your life.
Put your finger on your Shatter 3 button when you see them coming to prepare to interrupt their burst.
They are afraid of your spike. Hit them with Cry of Frustration first to suss out their CDs.
Make Mind Wrack count.
When you beat them, say something ridiculous like, “OH kitten I BEAT A THIEF, MOM GET THE CAMERA!”

S/D and D/P Thief are 10 – 0 winners in this matchup, but most thieves crutch stealth. Smart interrupts can win the fight. Use your teammates to help peel. Moa thieves, and never feel bad about it.

Someone blocks me and they can still send me hate.

Maybe put a cooldown (24hrs) on being able to whisper people you’ve recently blocked?

I get whipser rage after beating people in PvP

SOLUTION: Only my friends can whisper me: the option.

At least stop people from whispering me after they’ve already blocked me.

“Bug Fixes

Fixed a bug in which finishers would sometimes reset to the default finisher after interaction with the Hero panel."

It’s still broken. Every time I switch away from the Finishers tab, it resets to the default. Sometimes it shows it reverting, and sometimes it doesn’t. But it’s always disappointing as heck to dunk on some fool and have the default finisher pop instead of something I paid money for.

Pretty upsetting to have paid for nearly every finisher in the game, just to get stuck with the default

I’m testing it out in the starter area of Heart of the Mists, and it seems like if I’m in melee range when they go into downed state the option to stomp won’t appear. But if I run into melee range from a distance while they are already in downed state, then the option to stomp will appear.

I have the same problem – It seems to be a glitched character just after the item description – Try using the German spelling after switching your game language
