Yeah if you do get in, do NOT use waypoints or change zones or enter instances… Just go Malchor’s Leap and do ring-around-the-karma-cathedral :P.

If it IS somehow a Swisscom issue rather than GW2 perhaps Anet could say so and we can all go yell at them…. no info or feedback at all in such a long time is rather disheartening to say the least.

Did you change zones, enter an instance – anything that gives you another load screen. Coz I -could- play my alt until that happened now I can’t play that. Can’t create a new toon either.

You swapped zones yet?

I hit create and got the same Code 5 within 30 seconds before even starting creation :P.

It’d be nice if they even said “yes we’re aware of it” after 6 hours.

Logging an alt only works until you change zone or something – then you get kicked out on that one and can’t get back in (at least that’s what just happened to me).

But again, why could I and my husband play GW2 on alts but not mains?

Oh scrap that, just loaded out of the initial tutorial area and got the Code 5.

Not sure how it could be down to ISP, my husband is playing an alt but can’t log his main so it seems to be a very odd bug indeed.

Agreed. The last “mention” of any issues was on Twitter more than 5 hours ago saying everything is fine. Nothing else at all that I can find – very frustrating.

Thanks Zaxan but transferring really isn’t an option (and nor should it have to be).

Same problem here (Switzerland, Gandara server). 2 pc’s in same house, we were in a dungeon and we both froze then got kicked out. Couldn’t get back in game – got to loading Mount Maelstrom screen and it would time out with the code 5.

Been trying to get back in for 30 mins and no joy.
