I fail to see the issue. The two versions differ in color and quality, with one being the clear winner. I think you need to take off the nostalgia goggles and look at the gw2 versions objectively; they’re gorgeous.

Disclaimer: I know many will tell me to try many builds before I decide on one and I have, but pvp plays quite differently from wvw and pve so I want diverse opinions! :p

I recently 80’d my mesmer coming from a guardian, ele and necro background. I can’t really afford to gear my mesmer with multiple armor sets at the moment so if I do it, I want to do it right. I really like every type of mesmer playstyle but I’m still pretty undecided.

What I’m asking is this: If you had to choose a mesmer setup that worked for both pve and wvw with minimal or no tweaking between the two game modes, what would it be?

The person of which you speak is one of the most annoying cancers on Gate of Madness and you have my sympathies for having to deal with him in a Fractals run.

Great write-up. Sounds like a build worth testing out. I typically run a zerk build with a rifle and sword/warhorn for group v. group encounters but I often lack the sustain needed if I become the target of two or more guys.

I’ve also been wanting an excuse to bust out the longbow again, so I’ll try to get some testing done with this build and will report back ASAP.
