So what if it was made that attacks pierce them? Since the clones are not really real so everything damages and pierces through them.?

but that wouldnt solve the melee situation, its just a mess.

its a targeting nightmare. they should be more squishy or something.

1) allow the enemies fighting leash area to be a bit bigger and only allow enemies to refill health when they have reached their destination. at times im in a middle of a fight and the enemy starts walking away filling up its health.

2) Dynamic Events For Structured PvP.

3) More Structured pvp modes.
-CAPTURE THE FLAG! You shouldnt be able to turn invisible or uses movement skills while holding the flag. the maps should be Dungeons.
-COLLECT! Random items are spread across the map, whoever collects the most wins. if you kill a player holding the item it gets dropped.
-DEFEAT THE LEADER a random player is selected from each team and must be protected. each time a leader is killed a new leader is selected randomly not selecting previous leaders. first team to get to 8 wins. leaders location show on the map.

3) Allow up to 2 people to always party with each other in Free Structured pvp. Everyone always has at least 1 friend that is doing pvp at the same time. i think this is fair and would be ok for balanced.

4)Allow us to Replace an ELITE skill with a regular skill. Engineers wouldnt get another toolbelt skill for doing so.

5)PvP – Better class Balance for pet and clone users. Mesmer/Ranger/Necromancer. too many or too strong.

6)Mounts – running everywhere is a pain, especially in WvW

7)SHOTGUN type gun for THIEF/Warriors/Engineers

8)ALLOW THIEVES TO USE RIFLES. I play a ranged thief and feel limited to ranged weapon selection.

I found this early art. reminded me of a Thief Operative type. please add this weapon.

Well, yes they are, sure pistols are loud when you shoot them but you can hide them rather easily. Granted, your character doesn’t actually need to hide them or anything but it stays with the Thief’s subtlety theme.

You have to remember, the Thief is more of a medium to close range fighter, hence all the stealth to make up for the lack of toughness. Rifle would, no doubt, be a long range weapon who’s only workable playstyle on a Thief would be that of a sneaky sniper. The problem with that is, Thieves would get hit so hard with the nerf bat after all the free, long range stealth kills they get. They’re already tricky enough, really.

what if the rifle was used to give conditions? that would be balanced. you cant “really” kill from afar.

1 – Chest Shot – bleed/ 1% Vulnerable
2 – Leg Shot – Cripples
3 – head shot – Confusion/grants you stealth
4 – Ground shot – Ground Targeting poison/-33% Heal effectiveness
5 – Infiltrators Bullet – Fire an arrow and shadowstep to the target area, blinding nearby foes.

Shooting in stealth causes knock back.

So with this you cant really kill quick.

Well, essentially, they should be deleted from the game.

If you are going to start a post with this it’s unlikely you are going to get anything you intended once people are laughing and no longer taking your post seriously. I understand your frustration and the like, but to even consider deleting a profession or mechanic from the game as a valid response is just silly.

the only people that would laugh are mesmers. and even then, their laughs and l2p comments are only there to make it seem like i’m the one who’s bad.. so your op class stays op.

my main problem with the class isn’t any specific thing they can do.. or learning to dodge or mitigate their damage, it’s their core design. Making clones of themselves? seriously? In a pvp game? Clones?

There’s a reason why naruto is so stronk. it’s cause he can make so many clones of himself. it’s a forbidden jutsu bro. and u fools spam that crap. rename mesmer to naruto and rename all your abilities to kage buunshin no jutsu and then we’ll talk seriously.

I agree, i dont think its fair that mesmers press a few buttons, and we have to do the impossible to counter it.

Where is the balance.

Pistols arent subtle at all, and they are huge hanging from your belt , 2 Big O Pistols making loud bang bangs lol.

There are thieves that dont even use stealth, they play them like warriors, so i think some thieves should be able to play like rangers.?

Rangers should be able to use staves. it matches their natural theme

Thief is good as it is. Ranger needs rifle(or staff) more than thief does. What kind of dark-alley bruiser carries a full-length semi-automatic rifle? There’s no subtlety in that, it makes no sense.

Ranger is more about nature and being natural, i dont think a Rifle fits its theme?

In my opinion warriors should be able to use all weapons, they are warriors.

My biggest suggestion in the whole wide world would to allow thieves to use Rifles.

Currently i think thief has the least amount of weapons to choose from. …

What? Did you ever tried to play as engineer? Having only pistol, rifle and shield? And don´t come with all those bundles, the engi have to lose utility skills to have them, and the engi can´t change weapons on the fly they need to get out of combat to change.

And give a stealth class a head shot? Are you sure you are in the right game?
aren´t you wanting a FPS instead?

i play Engineer and thief. I think its balanced that engineer gets to use 1 weapon because of his tool belt, engineer is more of a scientist than a weapon fighter, he fights with his skills.

Im pretty sure it will be balance correctly, i just know all ranged thieves dont want to be stuck with dual pistols and a short bow, we need some variety.

Currently i think thief has the least amount of weapons to choose from. I would see them using the rifle as a Sniper Rifle, with pin point accuracy shots like Leg shot, Head shot, etc.

I think thief needs more love in the ranged department, i usually play ranged thief and i dont really have a choice in weapons as much.

Allowing thieves to use rifle would be an awesome addition in my book. what do you guys think?

Two words, “Targeting Nightmare” . I do understand not every mesmer is good, but when they are good , its nearly impossible to beat them.

Targeting in most games has never been perfect, its an issue but hey unless the game is completely real time with a crosshair its something we have to deal with. That being said, i dont think the mesmer should benefit on an imperfect targeting feature.

Most Classes are not equipped (properly) to hold their own against a GOOD Mesmer, Especially Melee 1h sword stunning exploding clone mesmers.

What are your experiences fighting a melee mesmer as stated above?

Im not sure what to suggest that can be realistically added to the game.

any Suggestions?
