I propose we put all this Toilet Paper to good use, in the spirit of Halloween. We certainly have plenty of it.

Find an Anet tag and follow them around constantly throwing TP?

Something like that…

If it can’t be traded, and drops at random, it’s both priceless, and worthless at the same time, depending on how lucky you are with RNG.

To me it’s priceless, because I’ll likely never have it, at this rate.
People who already have one couldn’t care less about getting another, and yet they do, much to the ire of anyone actually trying to get one.

It doesn’t have any real value, until you can actually trade it.

Well over 100k bags, here. Nothing, barely enough to keep going, and still I’m down at least 700g.

I’ll have max MF long before I get the mini, at this rate. Not that it would help, 4 times nothing is still nothing.

  • The miniature is extremely rare, it’s true. But the drop is random, which accounts for one person getting a pooch in a few hundred bags and someone else not getting it after opening several thousand.

Its random? Anet must have access to quantum computers.

Nah, just a a little robot arm that throws about a hundred dice every time a player opens a bag.

I believe that changes are not planned or even possible for this year’s event.

Wasn’t as hard as you make it sound last time, when a mini was ‘mistakenly’ untradable.

Thanks for royally screwing us over with an ‘statistically’ virtually unobtainable mini.

I still got 2. <3

And there’s no way to sell the second one. But you don’t care about money, you just kept going for a second one just so you could troll us.

  • One of our statisticians just checked the drop rate, and there is no error in the drop rate — it truly is dropping as designed.

Then that’s just terrible design.

You do realize how much the price of that crap is gonna skyrocket the moment not every other mob in the game drops it, anymore, right? You might as well add ‘Farm for gold to buy ToT bags’ to your retirement plan.

And all this for what’s not even a reskin of an already existing mini, but just a transparency layer and a tiny bit of fog particle effects.

Good going, Anet, real original.

DR for bags would be terrible, even by Anet’s standards, why punish those that are already getting nerve and muscle damage from clicking in place of hours?

Not that it matters, you can’t DR that which gets no loot, anyway.

I would straight up trade a stack of Shiny Foil Candy Wrappers for it, at this point. Not like those weapon skins will be worth much, after the lottery.
And those wrappers will be useless after that, which means people will either get useless wrappers after, from the bags, or they will change the drops at which point we could lose the possibility of ever getting the mini.

No one in their right mind would expect someone to doubleclick over a million bags, that’s insane. You can’t expect players to work towards getting a reward that’ll put them in the hospital long before they can ever get it, that’s beyond bad design.

So… Just because you got what you wanted, everyone else will just have to settle for nothing?

And what exactly did you use to open all those bags? Your fingers don’t seem broken, yet.

At least in fractals, and running around looking for precursors, you’re actually playing the game, getting exp and a whole slew of other things.
This is just clicking bags with no end in sight.

Well, except the bottom of your coin-purse, and whenever the RSI becomes unbearable.

I will add as a mini collector and a avid gem purchaser, I am rather ticked that the only way to get this mini is all based on RNG. I have already opened over 5k bags and nothing. I always buy the gem mini’s to complete my collection. I will have to stop now due to this matter.

boohoo to me I know, This is now the only aspect of the game I enjoy ( I am a digital Hoarder)

I understand, Vladimer. I am the same sort — I’m still playing sometimes for a MPB (Miniature Polar Bear) in Guild Wars during the Wintersday event.

If you continue the quest, I will wish you luck, as one collector to another.

In other words, we are kitten out of luck, if we expect to ever be able to obtain it, when the RNG hates us.

Last night I spent several hundred gold, clicking bags for hours, and ended up with a few 1c recipes and a number of pillowcases.

Please make it tradable, so those with no luck actually have a chance to get it.

Also, my aching fingers and wrists would really appreciate it.

Another question is, why the heck is this minipet accountbound… so unlucky people will open 1million bags and still not get it, while others may have useless seconds.

Its account bound? That really sucks. If people are opening thousands and not getting it, how the kitten are normal casual people supposed to get it?

They had the same issue with one of the minis in the krait tower story, but they changed that, then.
