When I was rolling in ET BL with a STAR group that had maybe 15 people, we went to north camp and fought vs ET basically for nearly 30min. They had well over 25 and kept running back into the fight. We had I think a total of two downs over the course of 30 min(one of them was a low level anyway), and our bags were all full.

I was witness to this fight you talk about. And I personally downed at least 5-10 of you. I was one of the kaineng in the back

I didn’t see more than 2 go down, maybe they were the ones that strayed from the group.

Well obviously the three of us could not take your group of twenty on directly. Surely you remember me though, I even ran in front of all of you after the fight and bowed multiple times. That was before you tried to chase me down

I saw some really good tactics going on by SF a second ago when they were holding that +400ppt. I was truly blown away and learned a thing or two about this game

I don’t recall ever dying to ART or even anyone from GoM in a 1v1 yet, but I did get run over by a zerg led by That One Spartard today in EB Q.Q. Oh well, It was fun killing the bads in [ART] that tried to 1v1 or even 2v1.

Yea that was a pretty good fight. We had a couple groups there, MvM was doing the heavy lifting and we had a small OS lead group with a couple CoSA and Shin.

Well, this is going to be a slow week for SF

you get to sleep in the bed you make. it can be as fun or as boring as you make it. roll 120 ppl per map 24/7 and kill the 2 man group trying to take a camp, and you’ll find it’s going to be really pretty boring.

pretty typical sf as ever i recall. here’s to killing sf w/ boredom this week. too bad you’re not talented enough a server to make it to the higher league to play in a real competition so you’re stuck with having 120 ppl sitting for hours in empty maps watching for white swords to go and kill 2 ppl… brilliant. that’s awesome… yes can you help me w/ the gold cost to transfer there. i’m def. wanting to get in on that. oh wait, i already have another account on a t1 server that’s winning so no thanks (and anvil is still the better place IMO than sf that t1 server).

What do you want us to do? PvE? Lol. As much as it sux for the 2 of you it is worse for the “120” of us who have nothing to fight (FYI map caps per server are not nearly that high)

Also, weren’t there like 5 AR last time we fought? Might want to team up with the other 3 and see if you have better luck. If you can get 20 or so motivated ppl you could try studying some RG vids with Sacrx comms.

I would personally love the move from a blob to smaller groups. VLK had to increase our numbers due to the blob mentality to be more than a camp and occasional tower capper. There was a big debate in VLK when we did this.

I see small guilds take more than the occasional tower very often. Maybe y’all are just bad?

Please fight CD / YB / IoJ (before the xfer outs) and take one of their keeps with a small group. Than we will talk. Unless you are from kain I doubt many old WvWs from FC would be calling VLK bad.

@Kaamu (hope i spelt you name right) We do have that base still, I will personally speak of getting stuck in my support build and not roaming one it completely kitten. Have you ever tried to fight someone using Staff / Mace n Sheild? I think I almost cried. Depending on who you caught and when, it could have been a new member who we were testing out or just come guys who really didnt care. I personally have died multiple times to Ferg because I got bored and transform into a rabbit / tree or the fight itself is boring to me and I have better things to do.

Well Mr Devin I decided to one up your plea and instead of take a keep from CD or YB, I took it from the mighty HoD! The server full of amazing tactics and night crew members that love to roam and “are really good at reading the map and will even group up to stop a roamer from taking a single camp!!!!!!” As amazing as your server is I was absolutely shocked that I was able to take it, I thought for sure your zerg splitting strategies would stop me! I guess I underestimated myself, classic Mooncow.

I’m slightly ashamed to admit this but I will be honest and admit that I recently transferred from NSP to HoD. I will be the first to also admit that this was a mistake and plan on going back to NSP at this end of this first week. However, I do have, in my opinion, some unbiased observations about HoD and for that matter FC after facing them on NSP and now on HoD.

First I will say that HoD has a lot of people. Way better numbers than what I ever saw on NSP and could rival most Silver League servers, at least in NA primetime. However, what they do with those numbers and how they utilize them is not that impressive. In EB it essentially equates to one massive zerg that runs around from one tower to the next. They don’t really upgrade towers, remotely even come close to laying siege effectively, slow response times, and a real lack of reacting to threats at two locations at once….even when they have the numbers to do so. They are currently relying on a massive numerical advantage but against any server in Silver League they would get destroyed.

I’m sure they won’t want to hear that but it’s the truth. They do have the potential to move up but they need to improve in those other areas in order to succeed. Even if they don’t need to do those things right now to win it would, at the very least, be good practice. The community seems good, people are nice enough, they have great numbers….but that stuff won’t be enough against Silver ranked servers. You have a much larger population than NSP and probably IoJ but I’d put money on either one of those servers beating you….and anyone above that wouldn’t even be close.

…….How long have you been on HoD?? We totally don’t have huge numbers, those are just pvers and transfers in, they don’t really count as people! They only came here cause at best we’re PROBABLY the top contender for bronze league. And we’re way better than you say man, we use real tactics!! You can tell how pro we are cause when our “best” guild VLK goes and commands in EB, instead of organizing people and trying to do things, we take them off cliffs where we’ll survive but they won’t! That’ll teach them not to complain in map chat all day! And dude these numbers totally didn’t exist a week ago when we told all our guilds to stop playing wvw cause we were really afraid about making it into the silver league where we belong.

When Kain rocketed up the ranks and rolled over HoD in the process only the core group stuck around that week and it was all we could do to hold onto the northern camp and maybe a tower if we were lucky. We all learned to deal with overwhelming odds that week and for the most part that core group knows what to do and where to go without the need for a Commander or even any map chat or TS.

We have those that will routinely solo camps or even two man cap towers because we had to learn how to do all that stuff when following a zerg/karma train was not an option. The secret however is taking those “fairweathers” as everyone loves to call them and teaching them the ropes the way we learned them without censuring them for mistakes made. Those people tend to stick around and grow our core group. If all you teach a newcomer is how to run in a zerg then of course they will leave as soon as the odds are against you. I could easily name 20 people or more from that core group that would make a top Commanders on any server if they chose to buy the tag.

That is why HoD is moving up…..slowly…but we are moving up not because of a pile of new people but the growing core due to how those new people are treated.

Wow! Thanks for the tutorial! Us Kaineng and FC players have never been outnumbered severely before, so these secrets are truly treasured!

HoD does have more #s but it’s not a huge gap over FC. besides reset night, since then it appears only to be about 10-20% more than us. Kaineng are the ones who are outnumbered – kudos to all the KN who stuck around keep up the fight!

Way too many exploits going on in HoD BL. Hills was literally flipped by Kain with no gates down, and FC ressing dead mesmers through gates three times is a bit much. (I know that you guys aren’t the only ones who exploit… but come on.)

We had a mesmer hide inside inner hills. Maybe you should sweep before you accuse us of exploits
