Last night I d/ced from a pvp game for the first time in well over a month. It resulted in a 16 minute time ouand now the next time it happens it will be 45 minutes. Will it ever go back down?

+1 I would also add that the thief elite stomp has an unintended behavior where if it lands the third hit right as the target goes into the down state it just says “invulnerable” and does not finish the player and puts the skill on full cool down. example: enemy is at 25% health first 2 hits of elite take it to 2% health, random skill kills target, 3rd hit of elite hits a millisecond later and does nothing
Well the instant cast trap being blockable is the problem…
They already have 2 forms of unlockable cc in f1 and bow 3. Could we please just make the traps not interrupt blocks?

if you think quickness affecting movement speed did anything but help warrior you are very wrong. just because you’re bad and push rush to run away and you don’t realize you have quickness and wait till it’s gone to use it doesn’t mean everyone everywhere should be punished for it. Whirlwind attack got a HUGE nerf because of this
Why would quickness and slow not affect how fast a movement animation went? This change hurt warriors so hard, and was very unnecessary
Chill (and maybe cripple) greatly reduce the range your eviscerate goes. I think this is one of the few moment skills to still do this
I feel that you’ve missed the point a little, it’s ok for some mechanics to have both a cost and cooldown, but this is the defining mechanic of the specialization.
The fact that its the defining mechanic of the specialization didn’t really have any bearing on the decision to make this skill have the costs it does. The adrenaline cost is there to require a build up and the recharge is there to provide some downtime.
Second, can a dev please expand on gun flame? Can you elaborate on the absolute best case scenario? If everything goes right what is the maximum targets I can hit?
The explosion hits 5 targets. If you don’t have the piercing trait you get 5 maximum targets. If you do have the trait it will hit 5 targets from the initial explosion plus 4 more from the piercing bullet.

First, lots of warriors don’t take cleansing ire, the adrenaline build up is made up for with adrenaline on weapon swap. FH is much more needed than that trait.

this thread is stupid. i particularly thought Impact’s post was dumb, especially “3. Warrior may finally take its place as a viable bruiser instead of being supporty as it is now.” because hambow was soooo long ago
I think it has now been 4 months and 25 days since this change was put in. Little sign of dev compromise, despite much of the PvP community speaking out against this (especially seen in PvP streams now being much less entertaining for the viewer and the streamer). So frustrating.

One image from February 3rd, queue popped at 20 minutes and the game was 4v5.
Second image from December 7th, 40 mins and 2 seconds. I can’t remember if the queue popped or if I just gave up.
These are older screenshots but they still support the point here. And this is all part of the reason I become more and more bitter to this game’s pvp and developers (my apologies to anyone I have been negative to).
I like the average queue time of 17 minutes on that second picture
the amount of work put into this is rather impressive. but i don’t think there is too much of a correlation. in fact two of the biggest win margins were on two of the closest matched rank points. and two of the closer games (500-300s) were some of the larger margins. to have that many outliers on so small a sample would make me think something is incorrect. also personal experience would make me think no too
If I was PvP game director, I probably would know how to conjugate.

For all the people that don’t want to believe this, here’s a simple scientific setup:
Hypothesis: Sigil of Air has a 5sec ICD
Test Setup: Engineer with as high a crit chance as possible (rampager or assassin amulet, 6 into precision line, precision runes). Equip Sigil of Air and flamethrower. Auto-attack indestructible dummy (~4 attacks/second and you can let it keep doing).
If Sigil of Air procs once within less than 5 seconds, the hypothesis is disproven. Let’s say we have a 50% crit chance and a 50% proc rate. On average, one of those 4 attacks within a second should proc the sigil if it’s off ICD. Let it go for 10-15 minutes and see if the interval between any proc was less than 5 seconds.
It’s not rocket surgery.

you are not supposed to be able to rally off of guards, and you can’t. unless you are a warrior and you vengeance and kill a guard, you have a chance to rally off them. This is by no means game breaking but it should be fixed and I imagine it wouldn’t be too hard to do so

because as a zerker staff ele your damage comes from a few set of skill (lava font, metor shower, ice spike, earth 2) and all it requires is you putting your mouse on the opponent and being as far away as possible. Not much more to it than that
Is that all you do as a zerker staff ele? Because if so you’re vastly under-utilizing your skills.
Rotation is important as you can be providing might to your team while dishing out that damage. Another huge part of the playstyle is AoE crowd control with Frozen Ground and Static Field to trap enemies in the kill zone and mess up their rotations with chill. Even Unsteady Ground can be useful for stacking cripple if you drop it in the center of the point as the enemies will have to run across it multiple times if they want to avoid leaving the point and remaining mobile. Then there’s tactical placement of your water fields to help deal with enemy condition pressure on your allies and letting your allies blast said water fields for more heals.
This is all ignoring when the enemy eventually notices you. At that point the skill requirement exponentially increases. You have to vastly out play your opponent to win a 1v1, and you have to be very good at timing your cantrips, dodges, crowd controls, and Burning Retreat to survive pressure long enough for your team to peel.
Aside from the raw mechanical requirements you also have to be really good at placement and map rotation to be effective. Where you are when you begin casting is extremely important, as well as what fights you choose to jump in on.
Ok well clearly you haven’t played the game in a year, thinking unsteady ground still cripples. And yes I’ve played it recently, and no this build is not about stacking might and supporting allies, it’s about aoe damage on point

This is like saying “Hey, if you ready up, the match will start quicker” – which might be desirable, but how many times does it happen?
In the time I have been playing, the odds that you got people communicating at the start, telling roles and builds can be count on one hand…
Sad? Maybe, but it is the truth…Also, as much as I like try to stay unbiased on the forums, the numerous amounts of “Daily Engineer” and the obvious growing popularity of the build are starting to get to me more and more…
The poor communication is my point. I use turret engi to get peoples attention because turret engi thrives on a lack of communication. It seems like most people are just reading the thread title and are actually missing my point. I find you stand a better chance of winning if everyone communicates before the game starts. It is difficult to communicate during the game, but you can use the mini-map for some fast communication.
You use turret engi because you want to win. Don’t pretend otherwise
Good players that communicate still beat multiple turret engis every time. It is about communication and proper rations.

Watch the first match. Watch how often apex was chasing their tails. This is APeX Prime a team that won the very first ToL and placed 2nd in the second ToL. Are you gonna tell me that this team HMan, Morf, Happy Kid, Night, and Anastarcis are bad? Are you seriously going to try and tell me that those players are so bad because they lost to that comp. You honestly believe this spec isn’t broken one bit?
At least neither turret engi are running the metabuild. They made sure to reduce that pesky mobility issue. But, they only had 2 turret engis and still lost. A significant part of pvp is communication and rotations. You can do rather well with sub par builds if you are really good at communicating and rotations. In the end APEX just out rotated them, which is what always happens to turret engis against good players. My main point that the lack of communication is the issue in pvp still stands.
Of course there is a lack of communication, we’re not on come. If you think typing out instructions is the answer than you’re a kitten fool. The fact remains however that two turret engis took a game off APEX prime, probably the second best team on NA and a team that I guarantee you is communicating well. And the other two games were very close also

you can shoot them yes, but aoe dmg is very difficult to land on them and melee is impossible
If you’re set on not nerfing turret engis as literally everyone in this game wants, then could you please at least fix them so they can’t place the turret in mid air and make it all but invulnerable? I know this is not working as intended. Please fix this

This is the biggest problem with pvp right now IMO and I know I’m not alone on this. The only thing you can do while queuing is to do something else on your computer. Furthermore if you have to pee or get a bite to eat there’s a good chance you could miss the que that you have been waiting 10 minutes for!
I guess really, the biggest issue is that there’s nothing to play for but hordes of PvE chests that don’t even stack.
This cannot be stressed enough. It would be such a simple solution to make these able to stack. Just look at wvw champion loot chests
full dire is so much better and cheaper

Anyone who knows about kaineng obviously knows who I am, the incredible Mooncow. I left this server for one simple reason wvw isnt fun there anymore. Out would take 10 + minutes to find any kind of a decent fight or in the case of borderlands any fight at all. I had huge server pride too having been on kaineng wvw since the day the game came out, but when it came down to it server pride didn’t mean anything if I wasn’t getting to enjoy wvw especially with, and I think this is what really put me over the line, the deleting of the wvw match up forum. What is the point of server pride if I can’t talk kitten and make fun of how bad other servers are? So I left. And it’s great.
TLDR: the hero of Kaineng is gone because it wasn’t fun.
