I’m sorry to hear about your problems with it, Paul.
I kinda am hoping the problem gets too big for them to put it off anymore. I guess if they admitted it was their problem that means they have to fix it… and maybe they can’t or won’t.

I was worried about buying this because it was a F2P. I have my entire guild that will not be getting the game until I get mine fixed, and I will discourage anyone I know from getting this game until they fix it, or admit that this is a problem and stop (from the looks of it) blowing it off like it isn’t as big of an issue.
I am not intending to flame and I’m not angry yet.
My only goal during my wasted vacation that I took specifically to play this game… is to get ANY kind of answers about this, and to possibly stop people from wasting time and money on new video cards and thinking something is wrong with the pcs.

If I am wrong and it is the pcs of thousands of people experiencing this… then I want to hear it from them. I am done troubleshooting stuff that isn’t experiencing any trouble… it’s the GAME. What they sent me in the support ticket does nothing.
I should not be having this problem, and neither should you.

“Preserve the game experience.” …. Is that still the plan with this mmo? -_-

My GPU is only using 10-12% and I am getting a 10-15 FPS on a machine that was playing the game flawlessly until yesterday morning. This happens in ALL areas. Standing still, ect.

My frustration… spans oceans right now. There is no fix because I tried them all for the entire day yesterday, and the game is unplayable. I will be haunting the forums for a long time, because they don’t seem able to admit what’s wrong and it keeps affecting more people. I have seen problems with this since launch, and REALLY hoped I would not experience it…

I feel for anyone that has this issue.. I miss the game. :/

-_- Still having 15-20 fps today. Still unplayable. I cancelled gamefly thinking this was the only entertainment I’d need for a long time…
So I guess I will be a frustrated forum ghost for a while.
This problem that happened literally overnight is infuriating.

Is there anywhere that they point out this is on their end and they will look into fixing it anywhere on the forums? I do not want to quit, and my friends want to buy this game. There is no point if I can’t play and have no idea when I will be able to. I am trying to promote this game, and I have to tell them um.. it’s broken and I don’t know why. I went through TSW and FFXIV… and now this. Are all mmos this way? Literally all of them?
Everyone keeps telling me I have a hardware issue. I do NOT have a hardware issue. My computer is working the same way it was when I started playing this game over a week ago.

If anyone has another suggestion I haven’t tried, feel free to tell me… but this is a growing problem, and it needs to be fixed on their end, or at least have them admit it’s a common problem so I quit getting hardware troubleshooting tips when there is nothing wrong with my machine.

I used to have nothing but great things to say about this game. It had become my favorite. This is really unfortunate… I was making an appreciation video to thank them for it…

Does this attachment help? I had MSI Afterburner to monitor. Let me know if there is something better to monitor it with.

It doesn’t have issues with any other games I have. Just GW2.
The driver versions I tried were Nvidia 301.42, 304.79, and the latest 306.23.
No changes between them.

Also tried restoring to a more recent point. No change.

I don’t think you are the only one. I wasn’t sure if you saw these. I just started experiencing this problem today.

It undid a driver update, and I had to reinstall the driver to get it back to 10 fps. I sent a support ticket and got a reply that they were aware of the problem with many systems getting low fps. I tried everything suggested in the email they sent, but it had no results. I also tried three different driver versions with the same results.

I will try restoring again to a closer point. I will most likely have to update the graphics card drivers again after. I don’t think I can fix this on my end, and most likely have to wait. I read here on the forums some people have been waiting since launch for this to be fixed. I feel for anyone that experiences it in the future. I had just enough time to get attached to my character.

I will update if restoring it to a more recent point changes anything. I appreciate you trying to help. Thank you for replying.

That actually made it much worse. The fps is now at 2 and doesn’t move up or down at all…

Nothing else is messing up or working poorly. Just GW2. The only game I want to play right now.

My graphics card is a GTX 470. I was running the game beautifully on all high setting for over a week now. When I logged off last night it was fine.
Nothing changed, there was no updates to the pc. The game just suddenly became unplayable for me today.
No matter what I do or try, I am unable to get above 15 fps. All areas had the same issue. I tested my computer completely… there is nothing wrong with it, and I obviously don’t need to upgrade. I still had 5-15 fps with all settings on low.

I hope that this issue gets enough attention. I really miss the game. :*( I had new friends going to joining up soon .. who will not be now that I am unable to play. ;_;
Hoping for an update of any kind.

I have been playing since release day with no issues, no glitches at all. I logged in for the first time today and no matter what settings I use, I am unable to get above 10-15 FPS. It is not my computer, and I have obviously been enjoying the game for a long time without problems.

Did they alter something recently? No one else in my guild is having this problem. My husband sitting right next to me is playing just fine.
I have already tried many things to help this issue, but it really doesn’t seem like there is anything I can do.

Has anyone tried reinstalling the game? This is the only thing I have not tried yet. I hope to get word about this from them soon. The game is unplayable for me as of today, on any settings.

I will try reinstalling it if I don’t see anything about anyone trying it. I will post the results when I get them. I don’t think it’s going to do anything, but I will try it eventually if nothing else works and there is no word from AN. Let me know if anyone has tried yet. Thx.

Update: For anyone wondering… No it doesn’t work. Nor does anything else I read in the past 19 pages. I am really frustrated, and discouraged. Nothing helps even a little, and I am giving up… hopefully they will fix this soon.. but from the look of all these posts it’s not likely.

I kinda fell in luv with spirit weapons recently.
I noticed you covered most of the weapons but I didn’t see sword. It is my favorite weapon right now. Were you going to add it later?

This game is AMAZING. I didn’t know a game of such high quality could still be created in this day and age. No game has captured me this way for a long time. I was blown away as soon as I stepped foot into this world. Thank you very much for sharing this world with us. The last two mmos I have tried at launch have really let me down, and kept me searching for that game that would just hold my fascination and keep me immersed. This is probably the most fun I have had in a game for 10 years, since way back when I started my first mmo. ^^

I cannot wait to see what is in the future. From me, and all of my friends; Thank you for giving us the awesome game we have been waiting for.

This is an awesome thread. Most of the ideas here are awesome imo.
Most of what I had in mind was already here. First person mode being a huge one, because I tend to be a photographer in game, and make photo albums. I would love having that.

Also I am not sure if this was mentioned but it really bothers me that the dyes are not account based and they are per character. I spent forever trying to get an expensive color, and then made another class later to try it out, immediately switching back, because I would have to work on getting that dye all over again. ;_;
I am hoping they will be unlocked for all characters in the future. With so much being shared through characters on your account, I found it odd that this wasn’t shared as well, and it discourages me from having multiple characters.

I would really love housing. Guild housing or personal housing or both. Interactive objects like places to rest and go afk.

The ability to sit in all of the chairs that are all over the world. I try to position my character to sit in a chair, but the position she sits in just doesn’t work for chairs. I would like to touch things. That is one thing that gives me immersion into a game is feeling like I can touch things.

Touching things. I guess I am a simulation person somewhat. <.<
People walking right through me like they aren’t even there kinda breaks it. An option to toggle that would be great. Make it where I snag a bit on people because it feels like they are actually solid and not ghosts on the screen. It would also help to keep people from running into me no matter where I stand and just passing through me like a ghost. Recording game footage is ruined by this and looks pretty funny lol.

I know there is more but that is all I can think of at the moment cuz I really want to go play. I LOVE the game and I am really enjoying it a lot. (See Screenshot, lol) <3

I usually avoid forums because I am somewhat of a book writer and not many people want to read a lot lol… but I wanted to say something about this. :P

The entire game feels like end game to my friends and I. What ruins the game for a lot of people, in my opinion, is rushing to 80 and then having nothing to do. We started playing around Sep 2nd, and we have been in the norn area since starting. We decided to do all of our home cities, one by one, in order to learn, and see what there is to know about the fascinating worlds we come from.

I can honestly admit I have not had this much fun in a video game since I was a kid, and truly feel this is the game I have been waiting for. I feel the need to take it insanely slow, and I imagine I will still be in the starting areas when I hit 40 lol. I want to see all the events, meet the npcs, and drink ale with friends every night while laughing and talking about the events of the day.

I guess what I am trying to explain is that… if you order this high quality, amazing meal from a great chef, and then you walk into the kitchen 10 minutes later and you want to see the finished product, you aren’t going to be happy with it yet. Enjoy the anticipation of what is to come, savor it, let your imagination go wild with all the flavors and how wonderful of an experience it will be. Don’t let the fact that you can’t have the cake and eat it too stop you from the experience of enjoying it. It’s meant to be savored and taken slow.

I actually think end game could be something else besides grinding like everything else. I would enjoy making up an endgame where I wander the world and help people I see that are in trouble, and I am happy when I get a “thank you” and that is a nice quest reward for me. ^^ It makes things unpredictable, and you never know when you will be in the chilly icelands and see a fellow flower being beat up by a bunch of trolls. Rush in to save them and almost die yourself!! \>o</ Nyaah!!! If they say thanks then it makes me smile.
(To the flower I saved, whoever you were, thank you for the quest. My reward was an unidentified dye and your thanks. <3)

Slow down and look around at the world. It’s beautiful! I started a photo album, and have been having so much fun. I can’t wait to see what they have in store for this game, and I will patiently wait to see it, while I slowly crawl through this content with my friends.

Anyway that’s my opinion. Just have fun getting to 80. There is no carrot on a stick. There are carrots everywhere. O_O Muahahaha!
