The Free People of Tyria [FPoT] are re-opening recruitment for a limited time as we are looking to add more active and friendly people to our roster!

We have a thriving community in our guild with regular events being organised in PvE, PvP, and WvW! We like to have a laugh and don’t take the game too seriously, which often leads to late night dance parties or costume brawls in Divinity’s reach and other major cities – we sometimes even venture out into the big wide world to bring our unique blend of badly synchronised dancing and overuse of the /me emote system to the unsuspecting guild wars 2 NPC population.

The guild was formed in December 2012 and has gone from strength to strength, with regular dungeon runs and some PvP and WvW thrown into the mix we feel we cover most aspects of the game! Having gone through our initial growth stage and a big guild restructure when we hit 50 members we now feel ready to expand our membership beyond our current 54 members!

In terms of requirements for joining FPoT, the following apply:

- We only want to recruit friendly people who get involved in guild chat and events when they are online! We don’t require you to be online for x hours a week or anything like that but we do want to get to know you when you are online!
- Almost all of our members are 18+ years old. We don’t have an age limit on applications but we would ask that you keep in mind that guild chat does occasionally contain adult language/themes when we are joking around.
- Our last, and most important requirement, is that you have fun! We all play GW2 because we enjoy it, we don’t want people who are going to cause unnecessary drama.

We had a great night of fun and laughs last night!!

Guild events involved chasing a half-naked Charr around our secret guild base, a glitchy run of Honor of the Waves Path 2 which ended with 5 caster classes having to melee the roof because the boss disappeared into it and wouldnt come out, and a ‘who can insult our officers the most’ competition :p

We are a small guild (36 members) but we do guild stuff every night – mostly dungeons, pvp etc but also we do some pretty silly stuff – like hide and seek in Lions Arch or have a GW2 olympics with events like diving, 100m sprint etc :p

We would love to have you at our guild, The Free People Of Tyria [FPoT]. We play on the Gandara server and have 33 members at the moment so it sounds like we fit your criteria well. We run dungeons, jumping puzzles, WvW and sPvP on a casual but regular basis – we don’t have any ‘planned’ event nights but we do something as a guild virtually every evening, just depends what people are interested in doing each night.

As far as legendaries go, we dont have anyone who goes out of their way to farm for their legendary but we do have a couple of people aiming for bifrost as a long-term goal!

I’m also 23 and from the UK and quite a few of us are around that age so you should fit in to our guild quite well I should mention that we are fairly new (around a month old now) so we haven’t got properly organised yet in terms of running events and stuff but we are getting there! Thanks for responding!! Depending on the amount of interest there is in this idea and the location (server-wise) of interested people I have no objection at all to moving to any EU server.

It would certainly require a lot of communication between members both in-game and on a forum of some description but I think this would be a good thing – it would hopefully allow people to get to know each other quite quickly.

I’m looking for a few people who are interested in setting up a new PvX guild on the Gandara server. I am prepared to do a lot of recruitment and all that stuff but at the moment I’m looking for a few people to help set it up (choose a name, decide on ranks etc). I want the guild to be democratic in nature, with no real ‘leader’ to speak of, just the members of the guild voting on the direction the guild takes! It would also be a plus if the guild could be an 18+ guild (i’m 23) just to aim for a certain level of maturity.

Hi there,

I’m looking for a WvW focused guild on the Gandara server but I am willing to move to other EU servers for the right guild.

What I’m looking for:
- a small, tight-knit guild that prefers to use tactics and skill rather than just running with the zerg.
- a fairly casual approach to time commitment as, although I’m online most weeknights, I don’t want to feel pressured into playing the game!
- A guild with an 18 or 21+ age policy is preferred, as is a UK based guild.
- a guild that puts fun and the social aspect of the game above all other goals; I want to make some friends on this game!

About me:
- I play a confusion/survival based mesmer (lvl 80) and love taking on situations in which me/my party are outnumbered.
- I have a microphone so I can use team speak or whatever your guild uses for voice comms, although I am a little shy to begin with so it may take a while for me to get fully involved!
- I’m usually online between 10 and 12 pm GMT every weeknight and then sporadically over the weekend.

I also have to recommend the MrPrometheus videos on youtube, they are quite long but they cover everything you need to know to start getting to grips with the mesmer!

Beyond videos and research, just try and find out how you like to play by trying out as many builds as you can while you level, you’ll get a feel for how you like to play!

I’m looking for a laid back, social guild on an EU server that has people active throughout the day as I don’t often have time to play evenings. I’m basically looking to make a bunch of friends in the game so the ideal situation would be a guild that has a few people online during the day that use some form of voice chat and group for PvE, WvW or sPvP but i’m happy to consider any guild on any EU server.

Forgot to say, I’m not looking for a guild that is only active during the day. I want a guild with some daytime players but also with people online during evenings in case my time situation changes, then I can stay with the same guild.

Also, I am happy to transfer to any English speaking EU server.

As the title says, I’m looking for a guild on a European server (preferably Gandara) that is active during the day as I am usually online during the morning and afternoon (UK time) with very little time to play evenings/nights!

I’ve joined a few guilds but have found that only one or two people are online when I’m playing which gets a little boring :P It would be great if the guild has regular voice chat going on during the day as well!

I play a lvl 80 mesmer and am interested in everything the game has to offer. An 18+ guild would also be preferred but not essential

I’m looking for a fun, relaxed and friendly guild on an EU server. I’m currently on Fissure of Woe but am happy to transfer out.

I’d like a guild that does a little bit of everything as I would like to get involved in WvW and maybe sPvP alongside leveling in PvE. The most important aspect for me is a relaxed approach to the game, no time commitments or anything like that.

I want to join a guild to make friends and have a laugh so it would be good to have some sort of voice chat going on with active users. It would also be good if the guild was 18+ (I’m 23) with some UK members.

I’m looking for a fun, active and friendly guild on the Fissure of Woe server. I really would prefer a guild that is laid back as I play the game purely for fun, I don’t really care about leveling quickly (as a result I am still level 30).
I’d like to get involved in WvW and maybe some sPvP so it would be good if the guild had some form of voice communication (although I have never actually used it before, I can see the benefits of it) and members that like doing WvW.

I like to get to know people and help people out so a helpful and friendly atmosphere is a must, I would also prefer the guild to be 18+. As far as time commitment goes, I don’t want to ‘have’ to be online at any given time to do guild events, although that’s not to say that I wont do them, I just don’t want to be pressured into doing them.
