Like I said, I’m not entirely sure they’re real or still what we need to make the weapons. Can’t check myself right now either

I have a bunch of Twilight Arbor tokens sitting around that I don’t mind turning into a Gift to find out though.

I don’t know what you do with the gifts after making them though. Also don’t know if these recipes are still valid post-alpha/beta. Unfortunately I can’t see myself spending that kind of money on any of those three skins if these recipes are real.

I think I read something about Halloween “gifts” that are crafted somehow, I don’t remember where or what the recipes were though @@ I do remember being taken aback by how… rigid the requirements were though.

You are not guaranteed to receive a rare item after opening a Black Lion Chest. You have a chance to get a unique/rare item. Some people are luckier than others. The Halloween skins are tradeable, so if you aren’t able to get them in a Black Lion Chest, you can obtain them on the Trading Post.

I’m sorry, but this really isn’t an acceptable response. So just because someone who spent $50 on keys didn’t get any halloween items, let alone the ones they wanted, they should be forced to pay the guy who got lucky and got the skin in 1 or 2 tries 40g+ on the Trading Post just to get the holiday tat that they want?

Particularly bad that no one was warned that it would be such a poor “chance” to begin with. “Chances” are I could also meet Bill Gates tomorrow and he’ll hand me a $1,000 bill. Probably about the same “chances” as me getting the staff skin that I want.

Guess I’ll be playing the GW1 Halloween Event instead… was planning on both, but why would I bother spending $30~$50 to get all of the costumes and some tonics and stuff in GW2 when I can get almost all of it for free in GW1 and have even more fun with the event…? Dropped the ball big time here ANet, and it’s a real shame.

You know ANet, I’d be ok with this if not for the fact that you’re also asking us to buy basically every single other event item and if the weapons were dropping at a reasonable rate. Some people are using in excess of $50 in keys and not seeing a single measly Halloween skin… how is this right?

The event is supposed to be fun, but really all it’s doing is draining my wallet and my patience. I don’t remember having to buy my holiday tonics and weapons in GW1…

Found it particularly insulting that Mesmer got their Scepter speed buffed and we didn’t… on top of a completely unnecessary nerf

Dunno, I’m gonna disagree with you there. I find Altruistic Healing to be indispensable in PvP, particularly high volume PvP in WvW. An Empower is very easily a full HP heal in most situations.

With just under 1300 Healing Power I get healed for about 2100 HP for each meditation. It’s ok if you use Smite Condition and Judge’s Intervention or something, with the Meditations recast reduction, but overall it isn’t as much healing over time as Altruistic Healing. Fun to play with though, and you do get the added bonus of a blink, rapid condition removal, and a bit of damage.

GTX670 (DX11). OC’d to be about the same as a stock 680 if that matters.

It also felt to me like they should just swap the buffs around.

Orbs of Power grant little reward to the “winning” team(s) when you think about it, they just cement their victory further and put the losing team at more of a disadvantage. Orbs of Power giving enhanced Gold Find, Magic Find, Experience Boost (maybe killstreak boost instead of a flat bonus?), and Karma Boost that increases based on number of orbs held (15/30/45?) makes more sense.

Outmanned Buff is completely worthless for its purpose. Why does the losing team need more experience points and karma instead of the relatively massive stat and HP buff that Orbs of Power get? Seems like the two buffs are backwards…

Therefor, have Orbs of Power give a scaling Magic Find, Gold Find, Experience Boost, and Karma Boost while Outmanned gives a potentially scaling stat and HP boost.

Addendum: I also agree that being able to res a Downed ally in any form of PvP is ridiculous. Dead should be dead, particularly in an event like WvW where it’s so easy for tons of people to group up around each other and res when one of them falls. It’s particularly annoying during Fort Defenses.

I coulda sworn tells work across servers, i.e. that you could whisper me at my forum name from any server. That really doesn’t seem like a hack.

There’s so much buggy display in WvW that I’d hesitate to believe what I see on my screen is what anyone else sees. Cuz over half the people in the Lord’s room are invisible, every time. Not a hack, just not-yet-ready software.

I don’t know how to find somebody’s name in WvW, and I’ve tried clicking on them and stuff. I could be wrong though, maybe there’s a legit way to message and report people in WvW.

Whatever, it’s beside the point. There are blatant hackers doing stuff that is extremely unfair.

Sort of an oversight in the system. When you go to report someone it lists their full handle/name, and you can use that to whisper them. Not sure if that could be seen as an exploit or not.

A Legendary would be quite extreme, I’d be ok with a uniquely skinned exotic weapon set similar to the set of weapons you were allowed to pick from in the original Guild Wars… preferably you’d be allowed one for free as well, and wouldn’t have to pay something like 4~5g or 64k karma like other faction weapons for your mission reward.

I love this set of runes, the effects are fun and nice to have on a set of farming armor. Here’s the problem: The bird is way too overzealous. I don’t know why, and I’m not sure if it’s all rune summoned companions that are the same way or not, but he seems to go and attack things 20 miles away, including Veterans and Champions, locking me in combat constantly and pulling things that I do not want to pull.

So here’s my suggestion: can you make it so that the Tropical Bird companion, and indeed all rune companions if they’re all affected by this issue, only attacks targets that you attack, similar to a Ranger pet? I really want to use this bird, but as it stands he’s far more of a hassle than he’s worth.

As I stated in the other thread, they’ve essentially made greatsword next to useless compared to Hammer in most situations. Losing such a large amount of DPS and support from Symbol is too big of a blow.

Congrats ANet, you’ve succeeded in making Greatsword worthless. There’s literally 0 reason to use it over Hammer for DPS and support. Adding 10 seconds to Symbol of Wrath removed a large amount of Greatsword’s DPS and healing potential (Writ of the Merciful).

And nerfing our already nearly useless signet actives? Really? Was that necessary?

I’d be fine with the current shield abilities if their ridiculous recast times were reduced

they need to add a server profile option to these forums, I have no idea who’s trolling and who’s serious since I can’t even tell who’s on what server

it is really annoying, especially with these queue times.

Edited out the other bit, I haven’t been in WvW since Mag and Yak did their hacking business, so I’ll take your word for it that we set up trebs at our spawn.

Our server isn’t naturally bad at WvW, but when we have things like this orb hacking and other exploits against us, it’s hard or straight up impossible to prove that.

So basically, Ehmry Bay has been taken out of the running completely by both servers using nefarious methods of competition. I sure hope ArenaNet does something about this, because an entire server being basically unable to participate in WvWvW for an entire week is complete and utter bullkitten.
