I would love to see a secondary weapon sigil slot in weapons which allows you to put in sigils which do damage to enemy types (like krait) – perhaps have them something you can interchange or remove a limited number of times before they “break”.
Would be fun to be able to make use of these enemy specific sigils.
Compared to other races, and even other asura weapons (staff) — the position of the greatsword is very low on the back, this causes lots of clipping with the pants/cloak, and generally looks poor.
I noticed someone posted an example of the christmas time sword skin that is in fact, higher up on the back.

Ever since release of the mac client (which I love by the way) I have had the UI load at times without the text of the chat box and sometimes UI backgrounds. This can sometimes be solved by taking a waypoint, resizing the resolution, etc.
But since it has been so long, I thought I’d ask if this was a known issue or if something specific to me.

I appreciate that you took the time to make the video and share your success. Is there a reason you don’t want to share your traits? Its not like there are a huge number of options considering the weapons and utility skills you use. Also, what runes, sigils, and neck do you use?
If you are not interested in sharing the details, I am not sure how genuine your desire to actually share with the community is.
I like your use of the runes of adventurer. I use the Exlir R for my stunbreak and more dodging, but without it, I think runes of adventure is awesome, I never thought of those.
Regarding the cloaking device, I love the idea, but when I have run with it, I end up auto-attacking myself right out of the cloak, how often do you find you are making good use of it? Just curious.
I see you have the annoying glitch with elixir S which makes your camera do jumping fits too…..

Just curious why you chose Carrion over Rabid? I’ve enjoyed the advantage of the toughness over vitality, and the crit procs more conditions — however clearly I lose the power.
I’ve been running with 409 for condition removal and very high toughness.

I understand that it says drinking, but why am I getting 1 stack at all then? According to the tooltip I should get none …
Anyway, just pointing it out, its not clear if it should be two, but nothing says it should give one (except the pervious version of the trait)
Bug report, HGH plus a throw elixir only gives 1 stack of might, not 2.
I run a flamethrower build, and flame-jet does not count as a projectile.
Also, I have run permissions repair, and I am not noticing any lagging FPS, so I have not recently reset my SMC.
So it is aggregating crits and non-crits? I am seeing white and red numbers. I feel like we dont quite understand fully this mechanic.
I have had this problem since I started using the Mac client, but lately it seems a lot more prevalent. Typically requires a zone change, or log-out to fully fix.

1. Is the combat log bugged for flamethrower attacks?
So I am in the mists, attacking a heavy target golem. Trying to see the overall time to kill with a rifle, and a flamethrower.
I notice the rifle numbers, they are exactly what I am seeing on the golem’s head, when I attack. However, the flamethrower, I am seeing MUCH larger numbers than what are shown.

2. Does the flamethrower increase damage near the end of the flame jet?
The numbers I see over the target’s head, start around 100, and by the time the attack flame jet is done, its around 1000.

Also, I am not seeing a dramatic difference in time to kill, and this is using exotics provided by the mists.

So, the scaling seems very close, not to mention the condition damage.
I never noticed that Rifled barrels increased durations on conditions, as it only says it increases range of the weapon, am I missing something?
Just curious why you say the FT is seriously underpowered?
Two weeks ago, we had a epic battle between SoR, NSP, and Yaks, between the three of us, we ended all over 200k points, and it was neck and neck to the end.
Last week, SoR had huge influx of players, and smashed GoM and Yaks. This week, Yaks is dominating.
But let me tell you, having been on both sides of the coin, neither is any fun. I just want a fun tug of war between 3 teams.
Hope they get some WvW changes setup soon, at least they admitted they are working on things for 1 sided matches, and transfers.
But please don’t hate on Yak’s, we have been in both positions, and our commanders and guilds good mature people.

Just curious about this, its not using any macro, but I don’t want to break the rules.
My question is, through software I can remap my scroll up to a key, like page-up, and same with scroll down.
Is this considered okay to do, to allow use of the scroll wheel as a keybind?
sure, that is 50% uptime, but my main gripe is that +burn duration doesn’t benefit the flamethrower, and you would think it would.
AND
that by showing increments of more than 1 second, as I demonstrated, its misleading, since the wiki says burning damage is whole second only.
I guess what bugs me is that using the flame thrower kit, the only real burn damage comes from flame jet. The rest is just straight power. And so it would be logical to increase burn duration, using a flame thrower, but the fact is, it makes zero increase in DPS.
All your points are valid about other burns that DO benefit, but my main frusteration was the full-second only damage of burning, even though it SHOWS less than full second in the duration.
Tigger, its not pointless to effectively double the damage of the condition half of the flame jet, but it just seems that because they do not update the tooltip with the actual seconds, it seems impossible.

Tigger, not sure what you are talking about. Might try reading my post again.
It’s just curious, that half the damage comes from the burn, yet no burning duration increases will help it. It would be nice if the increase at least showed up, so perhaps we could use other buffs to get it.

It appears to me, that it is impossible to get more than a 1 second burn from flame jet – information below.
So starting with Flame Jet – its condition damage is on the last hit, and has a 1 second burn.
First
After I add the 30 points into Explosives, I see that 1 second turn into 1 1/4. So its obviously rounding to the nearest 1/4 second, as indicated above. Fair enough.
Second
I equip my gear with the 15% burn duration (flame legion in this case). This brings my total condition duration for burning, to 45%, again, not enough to see the 1 1/2 yet.
Third
I set the trait for increase 20% burn duration. I expected to see flame jet go to 1 1/2, as my total burn duration should now be 65%.
So my two questions:
1 – If the max increased burn duration possible is 65%, why doesn’t it show in flame jet.
AND – MOST IMPORTANTLY
2 – If burn damage is only in each FULL second, is it fair to say that it would be impossible to get more than a 1 second burn from flame jet?

I’m having great fun with the engineer too. The grenades are great, just takes some practice to lob them constantly, without auto-attack.

Or for that matter, see enemy keep strength, supply, so you could pick a weak target.
Now I don’t mean all the time, but it might be cool that if you are out-manned, or being totally stomped, would be cool if a commander could do a radar tap of sorts, and see the location of the enemy.
Would make the people dominating the maps have to defend, and plan.
Just an idea
The Yak’s commanders and players who hang out in the yaks public mumble, are some great people, that is what has me staying loyal. I think everyone would like to see some tweaks to the system to encourage more competition and less one-sided battles without a way to come back.

Was hoping for another tug-o-war like last week’s battle. Looks like SoR must have received a lot of fair-weather-fans.
I hope they come up with a better solution to the transfer/WvW issue.

I’ve seen people mention this, but they seem to also talk about the space alien siren sound. So this thread is to comment on the loud popping sound.
It sounds like someone is dropping a microphone on stage, very loud, very startling. I cannot seem to figure out when or what causes this.
Anyone have a fix?
