So. If Su learned anything while being a spy in the vigil, is that things will more often look hopeless than not, and maybe they even are, but that it is better to stick around for an answer than spend your life guessing.

Update.

Got home and seems dad ran all the tests withouth me and all passed. Nothing seems to be having issues. (How) No idea what he ran. Am not tech wise myself beyond the super simple stuff but seems only the motherboad is left so we shall take the kitten back in service since we cannot test that ourselves again.

So. My own fixes on hold until it comes back from this other shop.
Whatever is not ok simply hates gw2.

Was fine with everything else we installed as a test. It’s just gw2. We ran several other games and dad ran several diagnosis programs on it again today. The momenr he opens my gw everything goes bye bye.

I will run it trough wine tonight or tomorrow to see if it malfunctions there. I did not think wine could run it. I am even willing to play it trough it if it means it finally works again. My computer upgrade was literally for the sake of gw so it not working causes me a lot of grief.

I expected whatever it is to be uncomoun when I saw no one mentioning anything. Very much at a loss.

We checked and rechecked the hardware so only thing left is to check the GPU when I get back home from work.

Not sure if this is to belong here. Not sure which is the right section.
I am not even sure a problem on whose part this at this point.

So, several events made that I changed my computer to a brand new one. (yey!) All good and dandy. Everything is freshly installed and so forth. The Linux on it is peachy and Windows was too. Until I downloaded the 64-bit client (never before did I use the 64 one) and tried to install it. My screen froze and sound stopped at many points while trying to install it. So it was not like your average video issue because everything and their uncle stopped.

In the end I kind of ran the client in safe mode but even there my computer froze. All well when the thing finally installed but now my whole Windows crashes just as I open it and if I do manage to access the game this too crashes my everything yet again.

I am not sure what is happening. We took this to a tech shop right after and they ran some diagnosis on it but nothing came up even though it continues to crash.
A fresh system install fixed the windows but a fresh game install broke it yet again. Even though the system was alright before I added gw2 to the equation.

Anyone have any idea…what borke when I installed the client and what can fix it?
Makes me really sad that I cannot play.

Computer has legitimate copy of Windows 7 , no antivirus active and default firewall deactivated, system fully updated. All ports open.
