Butter, pepper... delayed crafting progress

If you kill mobs that drop loot bags (like bandits, centaurs, etc.) you quickly get more butter, chocolate, pepper, etc. than you will probably ever use. So now you don’t need karma for these easy-to-get items. It didn’t really have any effect on the leveling process if you are crafting in between adventuring. It only made it a bit more difficult to just power level cooking.

The point of crafting?

Fine materials (and sometimes cloth) are usually the bottleneck for armorcrafting, even if you use Discovery to the fullest. The last 20 levels before the next tier are rough. The masterwork insignias require 8 of a particular fine material, which can take quite a while to farm up or somewhere in the range of 12-16 silver to purchase on the TP. So I’m not sure how people are keeping up with their character level unless they are doing a lot of farming (usually in lower level areas) or have a lot of coin (purchasing gold with cash in the store?).

BTW @vidiotking You have good taste in music.

@Vexus – How often do you end up with bags filled with items that can only be vendored? A large portion of drops can either be sent directly to your bank collection, or salvaged into materials that can be sent. I would think it would take an hour or 2 of constant leveling to fill your bags entirely with vendor items, and in that time you will likely find multiple merchants. Unless you are leveling in Outer Mongolia, a merchant is likely within a minute or 2 run. So I don’t see why anyone would lose money just for some sort of perceived convenience.
