I play a D/D Ele and have since early beta. I hope they don’t listen to the whining that’s starting to generate on the forums, as D/D Ele at least takes a degree of class skill and knowledge to play
It really doesn’t. It may feel that way because you constantly are using cooldowns. D/d survivability and mobility is just super strong, there’s no radically higher skill ceiling.
Thieves are the dynamite in the GW2 rock-paper-sissor game. All upside and no counters.
Power Necro autowins against thiefs. Condition Ranger autowins against power thief. Off Guard autowins against power thief. Necro wins against condition thief. Condition engie wins against power thiefs. d/d ele wins against thief.
Uhhh power necros instalose, especially if you’re well bombing and/or glass cannon. They’ll break out of your only immobilize instantly, move out of your wells, and then destroy you in two combos. Condition thiefs apply quick bursts of bleeds, not long stacks; they’ll stealth troll more than you can transfer conditions (in a 1v1) and you die.
Your statements are also vague.
So the premise is to salvage top tier items from chests, which gives me slivers, which I then use to make different items of the same tier in the forge?
Like trading several items for a more aesthetically pleasing item?
I just hit rank 20, and can now access the Dolyak rewards. What is the best way to go about getting arcane slivers to obtain the tier three set?
Do I buy a bunch of chests (do I get copper, silver, or gold?)?
Or do I have to make items in the forge, salvage those, and then make new items from them to get the slivers?
I’m confused about how this works.
Any tips? What do you all run for solo queue pvping? Especially condition spec, I can’t find a good build that can deal damage reliably without being instagibbed.
DS can definitely be strong offensively.
I hit a 4.4k life blast on another necro in spvp today.
Can my fellow necros please lend me some advice on how-to-play/builds/runes/weapons, or anything else about playing a condition necro in pvp?
I mainly play power builds, and they work pretty great and I do well. But whenever I try out condition builds I feel squishy and that I do no damage.
I really want to know how do you keep up bleed stacks? And how many bleed stacks are normal? I feel like I get no more than 5-6. Also, is scepter or staff the main weapon in pvp?
I felt like you do for a long time. I think the backstab stab build is too easy to pull off and that something should be done about their risk-free ability to escape. On my tanker characters thieves are fine, but I feel your pain when they utterly destroy glass cannons in the OPENING combo.
