First boss can be done way faster as he aggroed on me which messed up my rota, in my best kill it was about 20 sec faster :D rest is fine I think

imo the dredge carrier actually is one of the most fun parts of the dungeon xD I’d rather like to get less knockdowns from the endboss

you should consider replacing one of your skills through gkyphe of storms, its one of the best skill an ele has.

Hmmm for actual rewards you should have played dungeons straight after the nerf, when the prices for dungeon recipes as well as the rare backs in coe and arah skyrocketed, now doing dungeons actually feels unrewarding compared to the time when doing coe was the cof p1 farm 2.0 <_<

But ye, as long as you don’t pug cm I think you gonna have a good time when comparing rewards to the time spent.

i thought exactly the same when a thief uploaded this strat for the first time, but just think about it:
the goal of the event that we skipped is destroying the console, it doesn’t say that we have to stay in these circles, so basically we did everything that the path wants us to do :D but yea it isnt intended whatsoever, so i do understand your point.

actually the current duo record by vC is 13:13. Haven’t seen any 12 min runs so far but those may have been unrestricted (collecting bloodlust before starting, for example)

The fresh air buff will enable melee eles to be more competitive with staff eles for dps. This change will make me question using arcane for the ferocity buff vs fire. Fresh air builds do not camp fire, so some of the fire traits can be compared to the arcane ones. It will be interesting to test after the buff.

You need fire trait line for the shorten cd on fire skills, sadly
and in arcane the 2% dmg per boon on you is better than the 150 ferocity, which is rly annoying btw, cause you never had an opportunity to use that ferocity trait, as you, even when soloing, always had 2-4 or even more boons on you. so yeah, its pretty kittened up that ferocity and 2% per boon are both in same grandmaster xd

These were my first thoughts when I read the notes.
Air is pretty kitten good right now. All 3 grandmaster traits are useful in damage oriented builds. The fire grandmasters are immensely subpar in comparison.

While air grandmaster traits might be good, having those three in the same slot is exactly what completely killed fresh air. Not enough damage output since they changed it. Sure, there were other factors but in reality they nerfed air with the big trait revamp.

Honestly, if you did the math, air builds never really lost much damage. The lost bolt to the heart and air training, but gained either tempest defense or air CDR + ferocity. Fresh air is a dinosaur killed off by power-creep, with everyone else getting tons of passive defense and tankiness while its damage just stayed mostly the same.

Well, obviously. My point is that it wasn’t a buff for fresh air at all. Not getting buffs like everyone else but rather nerfs was the issue. However, it’s not like fresh air was ever viable, it was a supoptimal build and this trait revamp killed it.

Fresh air is actually really viable now and has same or even more dps than staff on small hitboxes (not sure when enemy doesnt move tho, like sabetha, cause thats awsm for staff).

yep pvp is saving us there :D they probs will need years for realizing that 250 ferocity is kinda kittened, just compare it with the arcane trait where you only get 150 fero xd

I rly hope they won’t disappoint us, tho thats pretty likely gonna happen :’D

@xillllix, at the moment warhorn is the best offhand weapon for fresh air builds that are based on pure dps ^^

oh well yes I cant and dont want to force the approvers to do smth they dont wanna do, dont get me wrong. just making me sad that ppl automatically lose interest in something as soon as it gets its rewards nerfed.

It seems kinda unnecessary to me to stop doing / approving dungeon records because of a reward nerf. I actually wish I could bring some guilds to break the old icebow records as this is possible now.

Also, it is still faster than gokus and mikus double war with 25 stacks bloodlust and 1 goat duo, 1 year old but still. I’m aware of the 3 huge mistakes in this run, 2 of them weren’t even caused by me, but it is still a good time whatsoever.

This is awesome! Now I’m definitely not going back to staff!! I’m just way more comfortable with D/x….dat mobility!!! Just curious, how does this compare with staff DPS?

A few reasons I can see that it might compare unfavorably with staff here is that 1.) a lot times near the end of the sabetha fight it is difficult to stand near her for extended periods of time; 2.) Bolt to the Heart may only be active for half of the fight, but the last 25% of the fight is substantially harder than the rest, so it is really active all the time it actually matters; 3.) lava font is extremely quick and safe turret clearing utility.

Don’t forget that sabetha doesn’t move, thats rly good for staff ele ^^

Before HoT rangers were in no meta at all, now ranger has the healing spot in raids and actually doing pretty well in PvP, you’ll never see someone complaining about a druid in your PvP team.

Untrue. They were/are In dungeon meta (after icebow nerf) and are very useful in fracs.
@OP, please do me the favor and check the group buffs that ranger offers, then compare it to any class that isn’t warrior. Also, vC used ranger in meele in their last valeguardian kill which makes sense. Sword / axe +staff, full zerk ofc.

Nah you can’t have a perma lavafont on the ground when swapping attunement, also you shouldn’t forget that with tempest you also have a cd for overload fire now, 1 reason more to stay in fire

Fractals
Rangers aren’t particularly noteable for Fractals, but they still work well. A full healer isn’t needed here, but rangers still tend to run as druids for the buffs that the glyphs can provide.

Guardians tend to really shine in Fractals and many groups swear by having at least one in the party. This is because of how helpful reflects, stability, blinds, and aegis is for clearing this content.

It’s possible that when the next wing of raid content is released, there will be mechanics that make Guardians wildly popular like they are for Fractals.

As it stands now, if you wanted a profession that played a range DPS role and was really useful in raids, your best bet would be a condition warrior. However, this is a relatively new spec and warriors historically have been most prevalent playing a power melee role. Also, in 5 person content, groups will usually want a Phalanx Strength warrior more than a condition, ranged warrior.

Hopefully that helps explain things a bit. Again, this is only a reflection of the popular meta. Groups have shown that playing an exact meta build with perfect gear is not required to clear the current raid content, even though meta builds will generally make it easier to succeed.

B-buttt It doesn’t feel like guards are really viable in fractals, all they do can be done by a mesmer even better (in most fracs), while ranger is pretty viable in high lvl fracs, as their condi dmg is really good and they buff the group very good.

Soooo, @OP, guard is in a pretty bad situation in PvE atm, and tbh I am kinda sure this won’t change that much even after balancing, I would recommend using ranger.

Rangers are pretty good group buffers :< for condis: 15% condition dmg with a proper rotatiton + sun spirit, for power builds: 15% dmg with a proper rotation + frost spirit (helping to keep up scholar buff also somehow)

Not to mention the spotter, that allows ppl to run bufffood with ferocity buffs instead of precision ones, and classes like eles can replace there fury signet with other actually damaging skills

In theory ranger actually can buff group more than ps warrior (considering your group has 25 might anyways (which isnt the case in every situation sadly)), but, while wars buffs are constant, ranger buffs will run out sometimes and you need some time to stack em up :( #frostandsunspiritendlesspls
