While rendering I actually realised that I messed up the outblurring in the end a bit which is why the last 2% of the boss can’t really be watched anymore, if this is a problem for approving the run then I can upload the unrendered run aswell, tho I’m pretty sure the run is 10:52. Anyways, hope you enjoy

Whenever Rigom gets into range of Guldhem, or vice versa Rigom gets 10k max health per tick making it slower and slower to actually kill him. Just have mesmers pull Rigom away and let rangers perma perma entangle. We completed the phase in about 1.5 minutes with 2 condi rangers, 2 condi druids 1 condi PS + engi.

Let’s be fair, 1.5 Are WAY too much for this and having to use almost only condis (we used 2 Chronos, 2 condi druids, 2 condi ps, 3 condi rangers and 1 Zerk ele) seems boring and pointless to me. I really hope they fix / change this.

Ele used to be more difficult to play before HoT, but tempest makes it pretty easy.

In any case, pve staff dps ele is very simple. You only need to press 3 buttons. Lava font-> meteor shower. wait 4 seconds. lava font->overload. wait 4 seconds. lava font on cooldown until meteor shower is off cooldown. repeat. Congratulations, you have the game’s top dps.

If you want to get extra fancy, add ice bow, and for the lava fonts with no channel in between, press autoattack to cancel the lava font’s aftercast delay.

Now, support ele isn’t nearly as simple. Ele in any vs player context is not simple at all.

There are multiple metabuilds for pve though thats only one of the dps builds.

Pretty much every ele build is simple whatsoever. I think something that actually still is atleast bit complex on ele is prestacking might, stacking swiftness, precasting things such as dragontooth or overload air, using mobility skills to keep up with other party

So after all yes, ele is pretty kittening easy now, as reikken said, blame hot.

The run would have definetly been sub 11 if you would have had perma fury at endboss. Aside of this, of course sub 11 is possible without legy, but it’s way easier with one. While in full man partys you can barely notice the advantage of a legy, you for sure can notice it in low mans.

If you compere gw2 to rl Sports then spending lots of momey for the best suite or car is normal… So i dont know why having the best gear is something wrong

atleast having the best suite or car is no unintended mechanic :/ talking about legies not scaling, ascended gear is obviously okay, but legies just aren’t supposed to be the best gear, they just are there to look good.

Another thing I’d like to propose is to have a look at certain CC consumables.
While they are easy to use and not that expensive to get, it kills off a lot of possible cool breakbar tactics, since its usually faster to just throw an Ettin gunk or break 70% of the bar with 1 plank hit.

Haven’t seen a video yet where Etting Gunk or Planks get used effectively.
Most of the time breaking without them is faster + better.
Look at Roul’s break rotation for example, bar breaks exactly mid meteor + overload.
Plus, if you wanna try banning certain cons then you’ll end up with a discussion on how other cons remove “possible cool tactics” too.

The thing with Roul’s breakbar rotation is that it requires you to precast gale, which prevents you from precasting other things which can be a reasonable damage loss.
There is also no way to efficiently break the bar a second time without losing tons of DPS, while breaking it a second time with consumables takes like 1 second.

If you combine CC consumables with soft CC from weapon skills/aftershock its definitely faster than breaking it with gale, the reason Roul uses this rota is because he hates consumables just as much as I do

to be fair, spamming out consums barely makes the fight faster for an elementalist. you miss atleast 3 autoattacks and one lavafont when using 1 plank and 2-3 rocks, and end up either casting 5 sec meteorshower while breakbar is down, or just spamming out lavafonts. Not to mention that often the best choice is just to burst the boss down instead of breaking the bar again, as it interrupts your rotation and messes up your cds.

But I have to agree, for classes like warrior or thief it may actually be a thing to first use your own cc (head butt for example) and finish the bar with a plank. But let’s be honest, ele is far better than these 2 classes in most situations, I personally think an ele’s dps with perfect burst on breakbar still is higher than a rock throwing thief with 2 breakbars.

Other than that, maybe a record reset for ac p1-3 in solo would be kinda nice to revive the competition there. Even with breakbar, my spiderkills usually are about 30 seconds – 1 minute slower (no legy), but maybe I’m just missing the perfect way to kill it.

Uhm i was talking about solo situation xD atleast I understood the op’s question like that.
i think that war is kinda superior over thief in solos as thief cant buff himself to 25 might, but I didn’t test it as I don’t play war

when only considering zerk gear (so no condi gear) it may be sth like

1. ele
2. war
3. thief
4. engi
5. revenant
6. (maybe) guard
   ranger and necro are both pretty bad (tho ranger atleast can give himself quickness dmg boost and buff to 25 might) and mesmer is by far the worst.
   however, in some dungeons war happens to be better than ele due to utility, and thief is pretty sick damage aswell in dungeons where you are able to reflect very much with your staff autoattack. Also you shouldn’t forget that ele, thief and engi all are very sick in breaking the bars of bosses, while war (afaik) has to sacrifice some dps when doing that.

Meh, i have no idea why the music that i use is Banned, after all I am german and I can listen to the music just fine, even w/o proxtube xD
