Disagree. Two “faction” systems have NEVER worked.
@ImProVocateur – Yes, you need PvP map completion as well – a “feature” I’m completely against as it screws us PvPers over with folks who queue that have no intention of PvPing in the first place thus preventing others that DO want to PvP from getting in. Broken system is broken.
Where can I find these Massages? My muscles sure could use one right now!
Unreal Tournament had this exact system in place…just sayin’ ;p
Agreed. Free transfers need to end. The game’s been out long enough. It’s time to begin cultivating Realm ( errr.. Server/World ) pride!
I approve of this message!
Non-WvW players shouldn’t have to queue for PvE objectives. Anet needs to remove the PvE crap ( eg: Vistas & PoIs) from PvP maps.
Keg Brawl == gaming fun
+1 for DAoC RR Titles and guild capes.
My main beef with the current system is the “Culling” technology in place that prevents the server sending all player data in my immediate vicinity to my PC. Being killed by invisible players is NOT my idea of fun. This needs fixed ASAP.
DAoC was indeed a great game for its day. I played over 6 years and to this day still think back to my realm pride ( Midgard for life! ).
However, it was NOT free from the Lagzilla. You could “feel” the zerg approaching as your FPS began to drop. This was most noticable during Relic Raids. It was not uncommon to experience single-digit FPS during these times.
The problem here is simply metrics. If you design a game to permit 300 players in one map instance then you’d better plan on supporting the capability of actually having all 300 players located in the same vicinity. If the reality is that you can’t support your design then you need to go back and re-design.
Yep, this is a known Anet issue. Start your research beginning here:

Suggestion: Can the ammo availability somehow be tied to supply or some other mechanism? I find it ridiculous that trebs/carts/cannons have unlimited ammo. At least if it was tied to supply available you could eventually starve out the seige within keeps making supply camps even more valuable. This would also make seige use more that just key spam since now you have to actually strategize on where to fire a treb and not just pick random spots and see if you get lucky…
Aren’t any of the HoD night crew guilds tired of simply Player vs Door yet? Perhaps we can convince a few guilds to switch servers and engage in real PvP.
You can’t earn respect by capping undefended points. Any scrub guild can do that. You CAN however get that respect through actual PvP participation.
SBI is recruiting more night players. Come ally with us and make a REAL difference.
