Find yourself a PVE guild that runs dungeons. If you can’t find one on your world transfer to Darkhaven and look me up. We are almost always running dungeons both story and explorable.
On our server has already gotten to the point of people sitting in lions arch all evening spamming their LFG messages. Your players want groups and they also want to get out and do stuff. The current LFG system simply doesn’t work well at all.
We don’t need some cross server system but something more automated in group forming would be such a blessing for group forming. Even if it’s not automated at least having some type of flagging system that is easily accessible and searchable by people forming groups would be a huge increase over what is present right now.
1. Use search function – there were like 50 threads about this so far
2. Read sticky threads above section…You could take the time to write that response but not give him the answer he needed?
OP, it’s bugged.
I know it’s bugged, my post is asking if we’re going to be compensated for the missing tokens or not.
1. Use search function – there were like 50 threads about this so far
2. Read sticky threads above section…
And oddly enough, not a single one addressing compensation from Anet. HMMMM GUESS THAT’S WHY I MADE A NEW THREAD!
Not speed clearing, no diminishing returns. FIRST CLEAR.
Are we going to be compensated for this? Is there a log that once you fix what broke with this token update we get what we’re due?

Your position in wvw Changes every week. You just have to wait for a couple weeks to get most of the poi and vp even if your server suck that hard.
It seems like you just dont want to put in efforts to get an optional item that doesnt effect your gameplay, and you complain about it because it requires somehing you dont want to do.
Its optional. You want it you will have to follow the rule and put in effort to get it. Things in game, at least in the older days, wont be hand to you with a silver spoon. This is the whole point of gaming.
You didn’t read a single kittening thing in this thread did you? Please don’t respond anymore until you have some form of reading comprehension.

Ok I think I get what you’re saying now . The thing about the Legenaries though is that they are suppose to be hard to get so if you remove map completion then what do you propose be the new requirement?
I personally think map completion is fine but that WvW be taken out of the equation for it as the mists (where WvW happens ) is not part of the world to begin with according to lore .
I’m fine with them just moving vistas and POI out of the forts. I don’t mind running around WvW trying to avoid being killed. I just hate knowing that a POI or vista is behind something I cannot get to because of the world I’m playing on.
But having them remove WvW as part of 100% map completion is fair too. But I have no clue what they could replace it with.

Ah, so it is possible to get points. Even the ones you are missing. All you need is a minute to get that POI, or even vista in WvW. They are no complicated jump puzzles to get them, just climb to them.
There is nothing wrong with needing 100% completion from WvW maps. As others mentioned, the problem you may have is with WvW itself. If that is the case, you can even transfer server to a winning server, get the stuff and transfer back. It would kind of beat the purpose, but it’s a workaround.
And no, I have not completed those maps either. But it’s something that I can slowly work for. I’m not on a winning server either, so I will take some time, but that is not even an issue in this game.
I would need to be in WvW all day, waiting for that small window when we have 50 or so people in that zone and every decides to hit 1 location that day (ie the closest location to our spawning point) as a moral victory right before it’s reclaimed by the much larger force that wasn’t there when we took it.
Any way, I’m done responding to you, I understand now that you’re going to zealously defend your flawed point of view with all kinds of incorrect assumptions and claims of “doing this is easy if you do that”.
Thanks for your opinions though, know that I understand why you said them, even though they don’t make any sense.

Not really, you are saying:
“I want the POI from that tower, but I’m not willing to put any effort to get it, but I do not want to wait for the chance that we have the tower either… I just want it handed to me”.
Get in there, get some people and take the tower. You can take a tower with less than 10 people with a well timed attack. Sure, that is not something that you can do by yourself, but it’s far from impossible even on undermanned servers.
Did you even read my original post, or did you just skim the title and knee jerk respond? Did you happen to miss the fact that the server I’m on doesn’t CARE about WvW?
I love how people always just claim “just do this it’s so easy!” No, it’s not. We don’t control map points that often, and when we do it’s because we did an all in zerg to down a gate and are about 1 minute away from being steamrolled over when the enemy respawns and takes it back.
It sounds like your beef is more with WvW being needed for 100% map completion than it is with legendaries requiring 100% map completion . Is this a correct assumption?
Not particularly. I’m fine with 100% world completion requiring WvW map completion. I’m not fine with legendary creation requiring 100% completion.
I’d be fine with legendary creation requiring 100% map completion, if said map completion could be done without requiring your server be good/organized about WvW. If I could go into the battles and just avoid the enemy forces and get my points and leave, I’d be okay with that. Even if it meant being zerg killed while running around.

Legendaries are completely optional. They are no more powerful than other items. So if you want it, you have to put a little effort to get it.
Legendaries should reward people that play all aspects of the game. WvW is one of them. If you are missing that one tower, then get in there, and lead people to take that tower. If you do not want to play all aspects of the game, then maybe you do not deserve a legendary.
Legendaries should actually be harder to get. They should require some sPVP stuff, as well as dungeon stuff. Really, only people that get into all aspects of the game should have them. They are completely cosmetic anyway.
I agree that they should reward people that play all aspects of the game, that’s why I said I was fine with the 500 honor token requirement, because that’s a PvP investment. I DISAGREE with the idea that legendary creation should require that you be on a world that is good at WvW, or server hop to one that’s winning so you can get your vistas and POI that are blocked behind walls/gates.
You are confusing “all aspects” with “requiring world participation” vs servers that 100% care about WvW.
There is a difference that you aren’t acknowledging.

The reason I say this is because legendary acquisition should be about player skill and the player’s time investment. 100% world completion isn’t a black & white time investment sink.
I play on a server that, to be blunt, doesn’t give a rip about WvWvW. I don’t care about it either. It’s not why I bought this game. But sadly, I’m forced into this buzz saw of boredom, being farmed over and over again because of several reasons:
1) As stated before, we don’t care about WvWvW
2) We’re outnumbered, because of option 1
It would be slightly different if ALL of the map markers were available without requiring the control of a fort, but sadly, too many of them are (ie more than 0). I’m fine with the 500 honor badges, because you can collect that, on your own, in a manner that could can get kills without having to control everything. But this 100% world completion requirement is just a slap in the face.
So I’m penalized in what I want to accomplish in this game because of a choice of playstyle, and the world I chose to play on. I understand that I could server hop to a dominate WvW world, grab my stuff and move back – but that’s just sadly not how I play, nor do I know the ramifications of that action being that I’m a guild leader.
Anyway, I know it’s too late for a change now, and I understand that you wanted players to do a lot of everything to get a legendary, but it’s just disheartening to know that part of the legendary solely resides in factors 100% out of the control of the player himself.
Still clearing dungeons, 100% completing zones and running world events, would love to have some more people joining us. Influence and upgrades have been rolling in and we’ll very soon have the 1 day and 3 day long banner buffs.
@Sojou My reasons for traveling the cost effective way aren’t relevant to this thread.
Neither is your reply.
It’s completely relevant. You are complaining about the time it took to travel from A to B, because you chose to go from A to C to D to E to B. Then you are eluding that your Dad lost interest in the game because it took so long.
Signed. I wanted to quickly show my Dad the starter zone on the weekend, but I had to do the Mists/Lion’s Arch/Portal Hub/City We Wanted/Waypoint at the Entrance loading screen extravaganza first. By the time we’d navigated all those loading screens, he’d lost interest.
Cause you couldn’t, just as a one time thing for the sake of wasting time, ported straight to your destination.
Nope. Too complicated.
Almost triple the size from the original posting and would love to have some more members for dynamic events, dungeons and some WvWvW!
Still growing each day, would like some more members though. We’ve got a small group that’s been enjoying WvWvW as well, so if that’s your thing, don’t shy away from us, you’ll fit right in with them.
It’s puggable (done it three times), and it’s also 1 shot capable with people in the group having never been in the place before as long as someone in the group has and can explain the pulls, mark targets and people can press “T” to assist and kill what they’re supposed to.
I was in a group yesterday that wanted to do this. It took me several minutes of pleading for them to not exploit. I was ready to leave the dungeon though, cause Anet could easily ban these people.
We’re starting to build a nice core group of active members. I’m still looking for a few potential active and trustworthy officers as well as more people interested in PvE content of all levels.
Would like to start working towards getting the Dungeon Master titles as well.
It is frustrating and unfair that it is happening, and we’re working on it (it has happened to me as well, and I share your pain). As a dungeon designer, it’s pretty upsetting to see dungeons being thrashed to pieces on forums due to this bug.
People are rightfully upset, and we have the best tech-priests on this side of the Imperium, and we’re all working to resolve this thing ASAP.EDIT: Let’s keep things on topic, people.
It’s frustrating when you make certain parts of a dungeon that were already irritating exceptionally more frustrating while leaving the already existing easy sections … EASY. It’s far better dungeon design to have a consistent, or slightly ramping difficulty curve as your progress.
Not faceroll simple, to bothersome, to downright ignorant, to faceroll simple again.
We’ve more than doubled in size today! lol
Would love to have more people join us with similar game goals as us.
You dont need warriors :P but its possible to do.
Whats the biggestkitten of is the lame anti run same instance more times. FIRST time i actually manage to get to end boss with a group (as many failed on kite and lava) i got 2.6s seriously this dosent cover my 50+ s in repairs i had. Yea sure i understand that learning a instance should cost nothing wrong with that. But when i finish it i should make it back.
Give back the 26s reward for a full run like it was or lower it to 20 15 but dont use the LAME diminishing returns tactic
It is 26s if it’s your first (and I believe 2nd) kills of the day. If you’ve already cleared it multiple times, then your money reward at the end is much less.
It’s much easier and far less stressful to simply do 1 or 2 Magg runs a day and move on to something else. You won’t get burned out on how ignorant the changes are, and you’ll still get max reward for your time investment.
Let’s hope Anet does something.
Let’s not even hope; we might have to pray. They haven’t even fixed Heartseeker missing yet.
Did you read Robert’s post? He said “lets hope we can all move past this”.
They’re not changing anything. His dungeon is the way it’s going to be and we deal with it or find another game to play.
It amazes me how petty you people are, “oh the rewards aren’t good enough!!” my god do you not just play a game for fun?
Playing for fun without any reward at the end is plain stupid. This is a MMO, it’s about going forwards, not backwards. You’re dealing with other players and a player driven economy. When the rewards at the end of doing something are a net loss because the content is no longer properly tuned – then it’s no longer worth the time spent to play the game.
Knee jerk buffs to portions of content that did not need to be harder while ignoring the parts that are overly simple is how you drive players away from your game.
1. I made it so that Magg has to get to the other side of the Magma field and close to the magmacyte – not just a player. Magg not taking aggro from nearby enemies was a big reason for this issue to be resolved. By giving him aggro, and forcing you to escort him to the ending, I fixed what I considered to be a bug/exploit that I introduced through poor planning.
This is a terrible part of the dungeon to begin with. It’s not fun, it’s not enjoyable, nor it is interesting to participate in. Forcing the players to deal with exceptionally poor dungeon design by making them deal with the mechanics on an even increasingly high level of irritation is an even worse design philosophy.
2. I extended the time from 100 seconds to 200 seconds at the Door Buster event. I intended for you to fight those guys, not circle strafe them and aggro leash chain them. I also added 1 additional mob to the encounter at the very middle (a bow dude) to account for you now having twice the time to defeat the waves that come in.
Another terrible idea. All you’re doing is forcing wipe/run back mechanics on players instead of making the encounters challenging but entertaining.
I made this path hard, because it was easy. It’s an explorable dungeon path, and they should be hard. Wearing the flame legion armor set should be a symbol of what you went through to obtain something. It should mean something. Right now it means you did 40 speedruns in 2 days.
So now having a full suit means “I no-lifed the dungeons before they ruined them so I’m awesome and you’re SOL.”
Thanks.
I hope this helps a bit, but I understand you’re upset. For all it’s worth I’m sorry, and I hope we can move past this.
Move past it by ignoring this terrible explorable path? Brilliant choice in design there.
Omnia Paratus is looking for new, mature members. We’re an upstart guild run by two long time MMO players with backgrounds dating back to Ultima Online.
Primary focus is going to be on PvE related content.
Secondary focus is going to be WvWvW participation.
If members want to branch out for structured pvp that is absolutely no problem at all.
I do not have a desire for this guild to be 300 members. I want to keep it smaller so that everyone knows each other, and we can actually participate in events as a group instead of members just being a name.
If you’re looking for a smaller guild (the goal is not to have hundreds of members), with dedicated leadership, and one that will definitely not be folding up or quitting during the lifespan of this game, Omnia Paratus would be a good fit for you.
We have a vent server, but no website at this time.
You can look me up in game on Darkhaven for an invite or any other questions.
Thanks for your time.
