a little fun in DH BL before we were booted

started a few weeks ago and got to 80 two days ago, got a nice look going.

Just finished a bit of fun in both HoD and DH BL, taking camps, guards and even a tower in DH BL =D.

Don’t get me wrong I think a GoM alliance is a good idea, but after almost five months of WvW I am convinced now more than ever that commanders do more harm than good. If in the end the alliance is just a small group of hardcore jerks barking orders then the server will suffer and people will leave.

Just my two cents.

now i cant say anything on the matter of commanders before 3 weeks ago (when i started playing) but the commanders ive seen in the past few weeks have been excellent, organized us and have done it all in a fair and fun manner. sorry to hear thats how you’ve experienced it.

Not sure where you are going with this.

I play WvW a lot and I see most of the commanders we had late november-early december. Every night I see them on, we discuss, we exchange information between maps. Hell, regardless of the commander tag, I recognize a lot of our veterans every night, fighting against all odds and sharing their knowledge of the game.

Yes we lost some people over the last few months, but we have a strong core, and we gained some too: lately we have a wave of new players to train. Now the question really is:
- Will you help GoM kickback and seize the occasion…. by the throat?

well im certainly sticking around even if we drop to bottom US server, been really nice playing with a few people, just need to find myself an active WvW guild. Also just got my first 80 after starting a few weeks ago, was going to hit it sooner but i’ve had a lot of hours at work and i got side tracked by WvW lol.

It don’t matter we are working together that is what matters. Im sorry if your upset that Darkhaven is doing good maybe what you need to do is start being nice to your community in WvW and get together with some of the guilds on your server and try to work out strats. That might help.

serinetempest, dont forget to mention server transfers that you DH guys received. They came in last week(week 2) of this concurrent 3 week match up. If you compare week one to week two and this the third its evident that it wasnt only a new alliance but an influx of players too.

You guys also have a very strong night presence that GoM, maybe HoD, doesnt have. I’ve had to stay up into the early morning to help defend keeps etc, not much 5-15 can do against 30-50.

below attachments highlight what i mean, look at the time ( est) on the map, very strong presence all day while GoM is good at NA primetime.

The last one makes me think u guys ( DH and HoD) really dont want us in EB, had the same attack split in our GoM BL the other night too.

Finally got GoM borderlands back from both DH and HOD.

so dh got transfers, hod apparently got transfers…so come GoM next mmk?

Wow, DH building golems in the menagerie, and letting GoM through. Though to be fair we knew you guys were working together. The whole Empress thing is sort of petty though, isn’t it?

They dont let every GoM through trust me, tried jp multiple times a day for about a week and its always been camped.

by " great fiights" do you mean killing 1 person with 5 or more? LOAD must be your server wvw heroes, theyre so pathetic in 1v1s lol.

assuming you’re DH that is, hod more power to you.

GoM and HoD players, i wouldnt attempt JP tonight, 3 different dh groups camping it.

probably have you in a screen shot somewhere lol, i take quite a few, if youre not a full size norn or charr then i wouldnt probably see you lol.

first off id like to apologize because im not quite sure who everyone is yet ( only been playing 2 weeks) so i presume you’re GoM? And is Tuluum your in game name too?

im also quite forgetful.

been playing 2 weeks as of today, have been lurking the forums quite a bit too, and the one thing that i keep seeing if that people dislike our elite skills, well dislike or wish they were buffed.

that being said, what would you like to be an elite skill?

Id personally like to have a steam golem in the 30 point elite tier, like below.

little rework of skills etc and it would really be cool…that or an ancient dwarf hand cannon ( portable mortar, reduced movement speed and disabled dodge to balance it out)

this thread needs more screen shots imo:

1. dh in our choke point.
2.took 5 dh about 2-3 mins to kill me in jp.
3.4 GoM defends versus 20 DH, early morning.
4. thick of early morning combat.
5. early morning combat continued, i wish that was a real hit.
6. we tried to hold on to valley but there were too many Dh, too few GoM

Came off the wrong way, 60-70 hrs a week in retail will make you grumpy lol. what i meant to say was it’s a lil annoying when a server can take tons of objectives over night due to their server having an influx of transfers, wasnt like it last week when we were all matched up.

o well, we’ll just have to fight harder.

well heres some screen shots of how the night went, logged on and ported to WvW to see GOM borderlands green (when we’re blue) except for the keep under our citadel. That was quickly overrun then due to our commander’s awesome leadership(jael) we were able to take back our border lands and strike back at DH. was awesome seeing everyone from GOM doing so well together.

Has really been fun this week so far, i’ve only recently bought GW2 (a week to day to be exact) and after coming in on the tail of last week’s nightmare in WvW and thankfully switching to this match up, i have to say im really enjoying WvW now.

I did have horrid flashbacks of GOM’s last week’s match up at 5 am this morning, red…red everywhere.

p.s. theives and mesmers really keep you on your toes dont they?
