Found our first good smallish guild group last night [SYNC] I believe was the tag. Good kitten you guys real tight group that didn’t seem to mind a little back and forth. As for the rest of SBI thanks for all the bags and keep trying to improve. Kudos though haven’t seen one tower hugger this week from either DB or SBI, you guys came to fight this match up. Lot’s of bags to go around even got an ascended drop, unfortunately shaman stats for a necro is not so good gonna need to roll another alt.

They never tried it before, and we’re getting more player overall playing W3 than before and to me that’s a good thing. How the T1 kittens didn’t see this coming is beyond me. I’m on FA and i was worried about potential ques. T1 broke the match ups against any other server and hopefully this will force a de-stack though i doubt it.

Achievements have been in WvW since launch.

Why weren’t they in WvW for the last year getting them?

Only change was they made the achievements easy to get and added rewards.

Are the people in WvW now because they like WvW or they want the achievements.

Fighting TC on FA is like the movie 300. We cut down so many baddies but it’s all for nothing as we we’re destined to fall under the wave of bodies eventually. If it makes you feel better from an individual standpoint you guys aren’t challenging either. How i yearn for TC tears, it’s been too long i miss you guys half the kitten i own came off a TC dead body.

Necros are great at small group fights I think. You need a guardian with you for stability and protection when you get focused cause you will. The problem you might be bumping into is since the big balance patch people now know that necros can be very dangerous if you let them free cast, so we are getting focused. I know my group will focus them first for sure.

FA plays T1 so I’ll share what I know from facing them.

1. If they don’t have bad skill lag I don’t know how they do it, because we get it even having one of their blobs on map. We call it matrix lag, when it lags and you see nothing yet, it means the blob is close.

2. Coverage: All the time everyday there is at least a “float team” map blob. Try to take anything bigger than a tower and they will show up.

3. Roamers are generally bad, but have good builds. I feel like this is a big thing most servers ignore when talking kitten on T1 servers. T1 knows builds for W3. They will be tanky, they will try to res downed players, and worst of all are all they are 75% warriors and guardians. Be prepared for a lots of resets in battle as almost no T1 roamers will go down without at least trying to run and reset the fight.

4. Skill is the hardest part to really figure out as they have sooo many people the overall level is hard to gauge. I always say under 20 in a group they are worse than T2-t3 guilds, but over 20 they are freight trains that will not kill you but turn you into road kill in seconds.

Question for Mag. We all know SBI is full of baddies (literally at TC bag levels with half the population), but has anyone over there noticed the LARGE amount of horrible rangers on SBI. Now I know in W3 rangers are bad to start with, but i swear I’m not inflating numbers when i say my 5 man hit squad on Sunday killed the same ranger 8 times, and last night we killed another ranger 6 times in like 2 hours on map. We had a n camp fight where we killed the yet a third ranger 4 times kept coming back to deliver more bags. Anyone else getting obscene amounts of ranger bags?

My guild would gladly meet yours for some fun open field. HOPE,RET,and RISE have met up with us in the past and it has been pretty honorable on both sides. We have always been willing to meet up with other server guilds as long as everything is kept respectable.

The real problem is the mentality of “we want fights so we’re moving up”. For a year this made some sense, but with the league starting and T2 getting caught up in this carnage it’s simply not true for non-NA prime time anymore. You will be PvDing for 7 weeks, and if you fight each other in a match up it’ll be the ultimate coverage war with no one to cover or double team in your “weaker” timezones. Fact is without a strong 3 server in your match ups it’ll be map jumping galore in a mad attempt to cap PPT to win the league. Less fights than ever before in T1.

Starting to warm up to JQ been a very profitable week guys thanks for the fights and mucho bags. Found my first JQ solo roamer to kill me last night. Little asuran Guard in FABL didn’t see the tag was too busy getting rolled. For those trying out small group vs. JQ let it be known that the JQ server is in the neighborhood of 60-70% warrior and guardians. If you see them outside of their hammer karma trains, all it takes is a little small group class composition, and a small semblance of how this game works and you will be paid handsomely in heavy loot bags. It also seems like they expect us to run when they have the numbers on us (T1 mentality), so go at em’ hard they won’t expect it. I find JQ player base to be the most skilled of the T1 servers, but they simply can’t compete in fights under 10 per side with SOS,FA, and MAG.
As for SOS I see you over there behind that 50 man jq blob, hope you’re having fun too.

So 90% of the weeks one T1 kitten will be blowing hinges off 2 T2s while the other math up in the same week have the third server being blasted in the ground by the other two save PST prime time. Again so worth over stacking.

One blast finisher on one weapon that doesn’t require an enemy to trigger it would be sweet.

make it like 25wxp and a little coin/karma. Small but something at least for small groups to go for it more. My experience is it’s dead till a server decides they want it, then its nothing for 30 mins. again. T2 late night PST

Assuming they do random pairing, our league is going to consist of 10 possible matchups. 7 that have at least BG or SoR or both, 2 that include TC (TC/FA, TC/SoS) and 1 matchup that is exactly like this one. So the idea that its going to be weeks and weeks of pvdoor is a little silly.

Not on TC but from i am seeing you’re not finding fights with what was already a thin late crew anymore i wonder where they all went?

So basically half of the servers you’ll face will be full blown PvD. If you happen to be the T1 kitten that gets into a match up with 2 T2 servers in any given week you’re blowing the hinges off dem doors. But your right you can look forward to MAYBE one good match up in the next 9 weeks of this game totally worth the overstack. T1 needs /whack it trust me I’ve seen it. Blobs attacking innocent deer or hogs because they have nothing left to blob on. Guilds having dance parties on blob lust points, these people deserve a way for W3 to be entertained with no enemies to fight (they are the elite after all). Hey I’m just looking out for you guys and the innocent creatures that inhabit the area.

Being that I have been fighting FA this week (sor player here), I calm shenanigans, last night I never had more then one stack of BL and most of the time we had none, even with this fight being a blow out I still.see the orb buff changing hand freely and often.

Yay well idk when you play and you don’t know when i play so we’ll have to agree to disagree. Either way it’s half about that and half about you guys get karma trains that lead to guard leach, applied fortitude, and because you’re rolling us with massive numbers probably have 25 stacks on your sigil. FA was ticking +15 when this went down, so you want a fight or not? If you want a fight and to say you are truly better this is bad for the game and your servers stacking mentality is part of the problem. I’m sure when all the T1s get together you all make love on the bloodlust spots but for the other 24 servers it’s pretty kitten lame in the current/future match up system.

Just to remake the point a little here as it’s gone off the rails a little. WvW will need more players and with all the time gated buffs it’s making it at best not-fun to be a new player or in my case try and start up a new guild with new players to the game. I’m on a well established server and i can only speculate what it’s like on lower servers getting stomped even harder with a way smaller player base to recruit from. When the the league starts these stacked servers will reap what they sowed, because they wanted fights so they moved up. Now there will be no fights for most weeks, and the players like myself who are the ones you’d like to fight (a challenge) are not going to fight you with all those built in advantages you have because you purchased in October 2012 not October 2013. Not trying to be a cry baby or say I’m not going to play simply stating the FACTS and how T1/T2 mentality and ANET design failures have removed almost all sense of competition and level playing field. And before all the dnozzles come up in here and tell me “W3 isn’t supposed to be fair” let me just say that I understand that, but it should at least strive to find ONE competitive aspect of the game or new players and small servers have zero fun. My guildies want to compete,but cause they’re relative noobs high end competition is getting to the point where if you’re on the wrong server and haven’t been playing for 8 months you’re not welcome to be on that level, and the way things are going may never be able to catch up.

Southern bloodlust claim spot my 4 vs 6 from a T1 server. They were all from the same guild, and 2 of my guys are pretty new to the game but they are 80s with full exotics and a few ascended trinkets. We fought it out for about 4 minutes the 10 of us. Twice during the fight we downed one of their guys but both were stealth rezzed by thieves. All of this is fine. This was a good team we faced they buff reset for cleanses etc. etc. These are the type of fights we look for in WvW even in a blowout match up like we are currently in.
After the death i was dead on the point while they capped the point. I wanted to click on each one to see the class comp. for when we attempted our sweet revenge on these guys.This is what I found.
ALL of them had guard leach, applied fortitude, 25 stacks on their sigils, and since it was a blow out all 3 blood lust buffs. So somewhere in the neighborhood of 400 extra vitality, 350 extra power, and +50 on every other stat, not even mentioning ascended weapons and trinkets that take months to grind if you only WvW like my crew.
Normally this is exactly the fight my guild wants, slightly outmanned fighting another group that’s pretty good in their own right. We enjoy a challenge, being outmanned, and trying new techniques for victory. We’re not afraid to die and don’t complain ever about matchups. But the fact of the matter is it’s too unfair of a fight stats wise for us to match up with veteran players with, ascended gear, fortitude/leaching players. Most of them are garbage zerlings, but when you have ALL those buffs and you half know how to play it makes almost all the fights not fun.
If i was new to this game I’d never WvW or be a zergling because of how far behind you are out of the gate level 80 full exotic. We’re trying to build a guild with new players to the game and before this last patch that was possible, but now when your sever is getting stomped by a T1/T2 US server with no bloodlust on your side it’s pretty hard to train a group up. What do you tell your team when you pretty much play perfect and they do all you ask but they lose because they bought the game at the wrong time?

The real fail here besides the buff is the location of the buffs. Like another user said should have put the spots in the NE, SE,NW,SW corners of the BLs in the skritt, centaur, areas etc. The blob is not going to go out of the way to go there, but it would a better place to find small group fights. Samuille said it perfect maybe one in the middle the rest should be off the beaten path more.

Gotta give TC some credit….. not too much running last night. Got blobbed like crazy in FABL but at least you guys came out and played instead of hanging in the towers all night. GG TC my bags hath overfloweth and it’s all because of you.
As for DB i wish we could fight you guys more but we have to climb mountains of dead TC just to see you guys over there on the other side of the map. From the few we’ve been able to fight it’s been fun and overall skill level been good props.

Okay I’ll play along then you can say you learned something this week at least. Blackgate is a meat grinder meaning 24/7 coverage pretty much full map que all time zones. TC has more coverage than us but is by no means at BG levels during oceanic or SEA.
squishy vs poor skill. Now these two can happen at the same time like in TCs case, but don’t have to. Squishy means poorly geared for group fights, zerker gear might work for duels and 2v2s but above that you need toughness and vitality for wvw. Zerker gear is the extreme, but overall it means not enough armor and vitality so you get blasted into the ground by one small man group focus fire, or running up levels which should speak for itself.
BG to their credit knows how to inform their legions how to gear, but they still have little skill, unlike a JQ that can both gear and has a pretty good overall skill level. BG provided many bags too, BUT and this is the key part it would take a sustained focus fire to get a guy down and keep him down because his/her well geared friends would also be trying to res. them back up. Meaning we have to keep them off the downed guy and try to spike the downed player all while actually having some stuff on cool down because it takes a lot in the first place to get them down. Bottom line squishy is poorly geared, bad is just bad and TC = both.

Second we just got done with a BG/JQ match up and i don’t think one person on FA accused JQ of being easy bags because for the most part they are not.

TC takes pride in winning the PPT

Pretty sure you guys got all that from a legit source. Obviously from someone who knows everything about Mags, Blackgate and all the other servers you’ve mentioned. So naturally, I’m going to take this seriously, like every other posts your server makes.

Official PvP server must have been before my time, but I’ll take your word for it, although in my 10 months on FA never heard anyone claim that. I’m going to have to say we moved on from that BS.
We were as much in that match up as you guys were in a matchup with just on T1 server, and since we don’t give a kitten about ppt we actually felt pretty good about fighting massive servers that don’t hightail at the first sign of even numbers. You can take it however you want, but it’s not about server spite, it’s pretty objective at this point that most of TC is squishy and bad, and the server as whole is good at two things blobbing and seiging up towers. Ask around i have friends on lots of other servers, i don’t proclaim to know “everything” about any given server, but from what they tell me I’m not alone in my thinking about TC hordes and their inability to do much of anything without a massive numbers advantage.

Second we just got done with a BG/JQ match up and i don’t think one person on FA accused JQ of being easy bags because for the most part they are not. Go through your last couple match up threads and i think you’ll see a pretty steady theme, TC is squishy at best, just plain bad at worst. BG is easy bags but at least it takes a damage spike to put one of them down, half of TC it’s melted by AOE alone. Just a theory but servers take pride in what they are good at and TC takes pride in winning the PPT and puts a lot of effort into it. Servers like Mag, and FA want fights and our PPT reflects that. If you guys didn’t have a couple good larger sized guilds I’d say the whole w3 scene for TC was about RPing death scenes.

The nice thing about facing TC, similar to what nick said above is that a LOT of them run gear with little to no defensive stats. Half of a large pug zerg will melt on the first push. We may still get overwhelmed by numbers, but lots of bags drop before that. And with outnumbered who cares. I think I made 4-5 gold last night.

Additionally a myriad of uplevels and just plain baddies. TC is like a lottery where even a losing ticket gives you $100.00. TC is like 1840’s gold rushing in California, despite not being the safest profession all the time even the most average player can find gold. I love this match up TC makes me feel like the Spartans in 300, sure we all pretty much die in the end, but the glory associated with said death is soooo rewarding. And with DB in this match up too they can’t just sit in their towers and upgrade during off hours so we can just break down those paper walls like a pinata and get all the tasty TC bags inside. GG on PPT though TC, your prize is……… oh wait there is no prize.

Kudos. APS is a legit guild. I’m honored you took my comments so personal. You guys are like the ivory-billed woodpecker of BG. A very endangered North American species that is so rare that many believed it to be already extinct. Hopefully this rare footage will inspire other BGers to help preserve this extremely rare server treasure. With the help of other photographers like yourself someday just maybe you’ll raise enough awareness to this species that BG itself will stop its genocide through blobination. A powerful nerve disease that afflicts a staggering 80% of BGs population. Rendering them only able to press 1 and F while having torrets like outbursts about PPT.

With the help of other photographers like yourself someday just maybe you’ll raise enough awareness to this species that BG itself will stop its genocide through blobination. A powerful nerve disease that afflicts a staggering 80% of BGs population. Rendering them only able to press 1 and F while having torrets like outbursts about PPT.

And GG to you good sir. You snapped two FA zerg pics, one on reset which any objective FAer will tell you we do tend to blob, and one other time in nearly 48 hours of game time. I could take a yearbook worth of BG blob photos in my first hour in-game in almost any time spot so far in this match up. As for the duel well read the signature, to many toons with staff to be much of a 1v1 player, maybe someday. But If you find my 5 man group if you have 10 or less I promise we won’t run.

My point and i’ll make it one more time for all people with blinders on your average run of the mill BG miltia is bad and they should feel bad. Your map blobs are good (Best in NA i’d argue), and your guilds are above average, but random guy out there is TC level bad, and many other servers have much better overall players per capita so to speak than you. I’m sure it’s fairweathers, and bandwagoners but it’s for reallzy i swearz.
