How about post 80 for a player that plays casual and fragmented (often I am unable to play dungeons / fractals because of IRL ) ?
My main is a decently geared condition necro. Should I go Orr? / Should I use some MF food maybe(would rather not use MF gear because I`m not that tanky)?
My next goal is to buy bigger bags (still using 5×8 slot bags) and since I am unable to run fotm, I need to find other ways.
Thank you.
Sadly, the best way to earn gold in game is to do dungeons or fotm.
I will recommend u to do COF path 1/2…usually takes less than half an hour for 1 run of each path, 12 slots bag are also not that expensive on TP. Only 23s or so for the cotton version. Use buy order if u are not in a hurry and u can save more.
One thing to note is that u shouldnt salvage the high lvl equipment(unless rare or exotic, instead just vendor them as i think u can earn more this way.
For lidless eye, u actually need vials of powerful blood, not vials of potent blood according to gw2 wiki…
Usually its just better to farm gold(COF path 1 farm, not that im recommending it) rather than farming the material u need.
You can just play the game however u want instead of trying to farm for it and enjoy it more rather than trying to get lidless eye asap.
Hotw/Se/Ac dungeon all give PVT stats armour in exchange for their respective dungeon tokens
I find that u lvl up much faster if u rotate around all the low level zone, queensdale/metrica province/caledon forest/ascalonian etc. At lvl 20 or so go kessex hill or brisban forest.
Gold isnt that important in the lower lvls because most things are cheap costing up to a silver per equipment and u only want to upgrade ur stuff every 10 lvls or so.
I thought the letter from Trahearne is considered within the 10 maximum limit from other players, so i suggested him to clear his mailbox.
Anyway what does it say on the top right hand corner regarding the quest for forging the pact?
Maybe u should use bags with more slots…fractals is a easy way to get 20 slots bag
u are supposed to receive a letter from trahearne after u entered lions arch. Maybe your mailbox is full and u have to clear it.
From what I heard, the sigil of accuracy works but its not shown on your stats screen. Best way to test it is by doing 100 attacks on golem and compare the amount of critical u get
Why not directly transmutate the runes to the stats you want instead of salvaging it and placing it in another armour?
And I think it will work since it can be done on karma armour…transmutating onto another armour and salvaging it. But I doubt that is worth in terms of gold since lvl 80 transmutAtion rock are so expensive now unless u got spare ones lying around
It actually depends on what class you are and the types of runes u put in your armour.
For example, on my elementalist , i am using runes of water x2/superior runes of monk x2/ superior runes of strength x2 with 30% boon duration from my trait line. Hence total might duration(+80%) and i use superior sigil of battle which gives me approx 12 stacks of might constantly and it definitely provides more damage then force in this scenario.
However if u are playing a class like warrior, I think u will not put the +boon duration runes in your armour slot and hence the benefit from superior sigil of battle will be less. And sigil of force will just be better.
If u do not do fractals, then any of the utility infusion is good. And i dun think utility infusion can give agony resistance yet. If u want, u can get a versatile infusion @ 70 fractal relic to put it into the utility infusion slot for agony resistance.
And i’m sure infusion functions the same as rune slots, u can replace the current infusion but u will lose your current infusion if you do it.
I will try a elementalist if i were you.
I have a lvl 80 guardian/ elementalist/engineer.
I think that the elementalist has the most fluid play style of all and i have fun playing it using d/d. I find it more interactive than my guardian as there are so many skills to choose from instead of just 5 weapon skills and each skill for the elementalist has different purpose. For example if i want to heal on my elementalist, i can choose to switch attunement to water tree or use my 6th skill to heal, instead of just using the 6th skill to heal in other classes.
I cant say anything abt my engineer though because i have not played him for a long time. I have tried out mesmer before, but i feel that it takes too much effort to kill a monster at the low levels
Not sure what build u are going for but u can try cleric ascended gear as well if u wan some healing power.
Just for your info, guardians prefer to stack toughness rather than vitality as regardless of the amount of vitality we have, we heal for the same amount.
As an example to illustrate my point, assume u have 300 hp regen from virtue of resolve passive.(with cleric gear and absolute resolution, u can definitely reach it)
If u have 2.7k armour, u take 1000 damage. it takes 3.3s to recover from the hp loss.
But if u go for vitality , u will take more damage like 1300 damage, it takes 4.3s to recover from the hp loss.
Thats not to say that vitality is useless, but i will recommend you not to focus on vitality too much(16~17k hp) and instead get some other stats to complement your build like precision.
So my recommendation is to get some knights(tou/pow/prec) and mix it with some soldier gear for more survivability. Or get cleric gear(heal/pow/tou) and soldier if u really want to be a tank.

Diessa Plateau
Tiga Fierceblade in Diessa Plateau has all of the pieces.
At even levels of fractal(2,4,6,8,10,etc), there are 4 levels instead of 3.
The 4th fractal is always jade maw.
from what i know…u cant salvage temple karma armour..so your best choice is still tp
