Be real right now im bieng serious everyone in this forum can agree thats no where near enough lmao compared to other classes mes is the only one with the limited swiftness i dnt see how focus 4 would get perma with only like 10 to 14s if u trait it x.x
Rune of centaur gives 10 seconds of swiftness on heal.
Use mirror. 10 seconds of swiftness every 15 seconds.
Just make sure you use it after the focus swift since it doesn’t seem to stack the other way.
ok when sometimes you’re moving from zone to zone (PVE) mining/harvesting, and you found that you have run out of pick or tool, and you’re far away from town, the easiest way is to hop into WvW and buy from the trader there, and relog so that you would be at the same spot in PVE.
now with this new implementation, would i be dead when i relog back into PVE, assuming i just pop in there to buy stuff ?

If someone that you’re fighting disconnects during combat (via Alt+F4, killing the client process, etc.) their character will be instantly killed, death penalties will be applied, and XP & loot will be handed out as usual.
So no, you will not die.
One thing that has kept me from fully lvling my mesmer is the lack of swiftness. i started lvling again but still i need more swiftness lol i feel like ima die without it
focus 4 + blink not enough?
Runes of centaur help with the above for perma swiftness if you are lvl 60 + and have an efficient means of keeping them while upgrading your equip.

I read through the thread that LemurTron linked and I also am convinced by Alcard (the one playing the amazing mesmer) on the idea that toughness is useless past a certain level of fotm.
Watching the videos of fotm 48 & 49, you see hits for 24k. Toughness won’t take the edge off these sorts of hits in any reasonable sense. Your only option is learning to best utilize your class skills and dodges to avoid damage. No matter how tough your clones are, they will pop in one hit.
Personally, I have a semi-tanky mesmer. If I plan to do fotm, after a certain point (like, 15 or 20) I’ll start switching to a full glass cannon. Until then, I’ll practice dodging/distorting everything in preparation.
I’m not saying this build is viable for other areas of the game, such as dungeons or wvw, as the damage doesn’t scale up like fotm, and by design you are supposed to trade a few hits.

I’ve mist formed off a cliff when downed to die and nothing broke.
I’m guessing you already had it broken from before but didn’t keep track due to the chaotic nature of wvw.
But to address your main point, it is baffling that npc enemies can keep you in combat even though they are not running towards you at all. But the solutions are simple.
And even if you did die, it’s only 1.64 silver. I think that tiny cost is minimal to this whole alt-F4 thing.
To clarify: character death on disconnect is a WvW only change.
Problem here.
I slipped from enemy Garrison & landed on a ledge. Couldn`t drop further as I`d die (give Ele` fall trait damage please!!)
I was stuck in combat as your game still doesn`t register not having been hit for 1 second or 1 hour, as long as enemy is still near.
This means I & others HAVE to exit game to get back into the fight properly.Any chance of fixing these first please?
Death by falling = no repair costs.
You should have jumped off the cliff and waypointed back at no cost to you.
It would be faster than logging out and back in.
I used to want repair costs removed, but I thought about it, and it would promote poor playing. So many people would just jump headlong into zergs without a care about strategy. It would be usekittenl* for scouting or something, but information should come at a cost.
If you want to avoid repair costs, run around naked.
*lol @ this “censor.” Should be usef-ul.

Why does everyone want the character to just stay there motionless when the person disconnects? You won’t reconnect (you’re in combat, even pve mobs will take you down) so you’re as good as dead.
If someone alt-F4’s in combat, why does someone else have to spend the extra seconds bringing down a bag of hp? The griefer is now doing the person a favour by insta-killing themselves so the winner can move on to something else (like other enemies.)
Also, for the strategy of leaving one tower on each map for the enemy to prevent…. that will be hard to convince everyone on your map to do….

There is a lot of talk in the WvW forums about how the two worlds ranked 2 & 3 should gang up on the 1st place world (Tier 3 is a good example.) This was the design goal by Anet as well, so they should try to find a way to make it happen naturally.
After all, ranking is calculated on the differences between you and the other two worlds. But if you didn’t read the wiki/forums or http://mos.millenium.org/matchups#NA, you wouldn’t know that.
I believe the main scoreboard graphic should be changed. It should show the differences between your world and the other two worlds for the match scores. For instance, you can use a bar chart where your score is at x-axis and there is a bar for each opponent. If they are ahead of you, a positive bar, and you ahead of them, a negative bar. (Use whatever colours best convey threat/non-threat.)
The goal is to make people from the #3 world see a small difference between them and #2, and a large difference between them and #1. This larger difference, the larger the perceived threat. #3 will go after #1. This will aid in explaining to people how our ranking score is dependent how we do against both worlds and better align strategies.
World ranked #2 will also try to focus more on #1, and less on stomping #3 into dust.
In addition, the score bonuses can be moved to another tab, since those don’t offer any strategic information. An additional tab to show the current & next glicko rating & matchup would be nice, instead of having to point everyone to the above link.
oh and by the way to all u guys saying u are focusing on fa bl because our defense is so bad and yb s defense so great..u said the same about cd didnt u?

So TC didn’t attack YB much before due to thier good defense and now, TC still doesn’t attack YB much due to thier good defense.

oh just saying it’s interesting that all other servers have a bad defense and thats why they always get attacked by both at the same time. that’s what u guys are saying right? and i was just saying it’s interesting, that’s all. ;-)
Okay, pretend it’s a 4 way WvW of: TC vs YB vs FA vs CD.
Whose BL are you attacking first because you’re most likely to get the most captures, person-who-finds-interesting-facts-interesting from FA? That’s right. CD. It’s why they’re in T4.
