I assume you’ve never banned or punished anyone for using exploits (or smart use of game mechanics) in dungeons of FOTM as they have very little impact on the economy or anything else for that matter. But if you have, then I will be extremely disappointed.

I’ll take the example of (the previously fixed exploit) of swamp fractal, when facing Mossman. I find it very creative for players to decide to use a tree that they can climb without particular effort in order to perch an enemy that appears to be mostly close combat. As it happens, when you climbed that tree and started hitting the mossman, he’s disappear briefly and would simply stand there so you could kill him with impunity. Mossman isn’t really a difficult boss, but you CANNOT blame the players for finding ways of making a fight easier. As a developer, you’re essentially forcing the players to do the same content over and over for the related rewards. Sure, if you do fractals for the first time an exploit can ruin the fun of experiencing the boss and facing the challenge, but for 99% of the cases, everybody’s already done it legit and has experienced the “fun”.

The truth is, after hundreds of times of facing the same content, people are bound to find ways to make the fight:

a) easier
b) faster

That’s just human nature. That’s what you do when you’re doing math homework or working for a company, you find the most efficient way to do a task, especially if that task has to be repeated numerous times.

Now, I’m not talking about cheating, using third party applications, modifying the game in any way etc. That’s bad.

But if you’re playing a game where you respect the constraints of the game by not hacking; you should be encouraged, NOT PUNISHED, to find creative ways to solve certain encounters. In the end, it’s really the developer’s jobs to fix the bugs that they deem “game breaking” and they shouldn’t blame the players for finding and using those bugs.

Given the actual rate of resistance AR gives (agony deals -6% of your base health every 5AR), we’d need about 970 AR to resist the damage on lvl 50 Maw. So it’s obvious they’ll nerf it when they want us to do level 50-59.

I’m only level 22 fract, so I don’t actually know. But couldn’t you push how far you can go by spamming heals? water field + blasts?

I don’t usually post on forums, but the amount of trash talk from any of the three servers is embarrassing. I thought this week was extremely challenging and fun. I’m not part of a large guild, but I do roam quite a lot. Neither of our servers achieve the level of coordination that other tiers can boast, I don’t see why everyone thinks they’re hot kitten because of that. Have some kitten humility and enjoy the game for what it is.

I also disagree when people say that BP hibernates all week. Two days ago we queued up AR’s BL and attempted (unsuccessfully) to take hills. You guys threw a solid defence and it was a lot of fun.

Tl;dr This(these) thread(s) makes me ashamed of BP, and it should too of your respective server. I get this is a competitive game, but we should all remain respectful.

Broken Stealth. Common issue.

The problem is that they “lock-on”. Stealth shouldn’t interrupt but they should keep shotting/chanelling where you were last seen.

I don’t see why using STEALTH, allows a ranger to keep shooting in my direction x10. Defeats the purpose of stealth.

I’d also suggest the new Cavalier jewels for some extra toughness while keeping all the crit damage.

Some of my issues with thief atm.

High Condition damage p/d thief is OP right now due to culling and culling only. This could be said about d/d thief, but to a lesser extent because you can easily avoid Backstab, while Sneak Attack is much harder to mitigate.

Shadowstep should not show the animation of breaking stealth if it doesn’t actually break stealth. Very confusing.

Traps are bugged and do not work 50-80% of the time.

I feel there are more options. You can easily be a bursty-tanky backstab thief with no crit chance.

I feel this is the most fun in wvw, because you can destroy a large group’s morale very easily and you’re oh so hard to kill because of several “OH kitten” buttons and ultra high mobility

As a thief who has other level 80s, I don’t have a problem with thieves because I always know what they are doing while invis and I look for the auto attack animation change on hit. Thieves are not invincible when invis which is what a lot of people tend to forget.

Conclusion: if you hate thieves, play as one, learn how they think and then you can destroy them.
