I agree, protected phantasms is basically useless. I’ve seen people suggesting removing and replacing it with a trait that makes your phantasms invincible whenever they attack. So like 1 or 2 sec blurr on attack. While this does not seem as useless as protected phantasms, i still see no reason why anyone should use this over restorative illusions. Even most phantasm builds would use RI, 1,5k heal on (almost) every shatter has really no competition there.
Or maybe a special debuff on your enemy that summons one random phantasm like every 3 or 5 seconds for either 9 or 15 seconds (so 3 phantasms in total). With the random summon it’s a bit of a gamble but would also be an interesting gimmick, because you would get phantasms into your gameplay that you normally wouldn’t have. And thanks to the delay between the summons you would have enough time to get your active phantasms shattered before the new one would spawn.
Summoning 3 phantasms of the same type is easy enough thanks to chrono.
CS → Summon → Aether Signet → Summon → CS → Summon.
While i like the idea for that phantasm elite, i dont even want to imagine the qq’ing that’d be going on if this skill would be a real thing. xD
Every class has skill “categories” they do not have an elite skill of. For Mesmer it’s clones/phantasms and mantras. For a ranger it’d be signet and trap, etc. You get the idea.
Great idea, didnt think of the chronophantasms. Yea, giving them something special to highlight them would be nice. I dont think that it should be done through different colors or something similar though, as i think it would look kinda strange. Maybe just a little detail, like putting a butterfly somewhere in the symbol or idk.
So I’m playing build which relys heavily on phantasms and its working really good ’n all but i noticed one thing that keeps annoying me: the symbols for your active illusions. As we all know, your active illusions are only displayed through the pink dots above your shatter skills.
Now my problem with this is: depending on the situation i find it really hard to even almost impossible to keep track of the illusion you actually have up atm. I’m talking about really intense group pvp battles (were you simple dont have the time to be looking around for your illusions) or world bosses/meta events (were you cant even figure out where or what your illusions are in that gigantic mass of players) for example.
So my idea to change this would be: leave the clones as the normal pink dots but put a symbol (probably the weapon the phantasm is wielding) into the dot for the phantasms.
Any suggestions to improve this idea? Let me know!
