Offended or just no sense of humor? Don´t get me wrong, i appreciate Vabbi and it´s population, because they are always friendly and grateful when we sponsor them some kills, on which we invite them. It does not matter if it´s Tequatl, Wurm or Marionette. But on that kill were not very many of them there.
(edited by Thareen.5471)
Btw, there were almost no Vabbians on that Vabbi kill. Just saying^^
Actually i appreciate this one.
For the old title you did not have to finish the full event completely, just one head at a time which can be acomplished in three different runs.
This time it is about finishing it.
Well, i participated in about a dozen kills (all legit and without the exploit), one more time is not that bad. At least not for me.
I think it is just not possible for Anet to see which account has actually finished the event in the past, so from that point of view i am sorry for those who were lucky enough to guest and participate on an successful kill, hence they have to do it again for that title.
For me the title and the achievement points were only a bonus, since i do not care about those. And obviously also not for the loot.
For those who have trouble getting the full kill: There are not only servers out there that are doing that one successfully. Just go there, join the TS and participate.
A few big guilds are also doing this and to be honest, they are still recruiting.
But i would not recommend joining them just because of an title and a few extra achievement points.
Edit: for those who complain about getting an title for completing the whole event without even being present at the other two worms… what is harder? Completing the whole thing with three zerks and ~45 players in each one and an huge amount of preparation and coordination, or just finishing the escorts and zerging one wurm with almost 150 players? Just saying.
P.s. the profanity filter in this forum is still useless :/

Similar thread in the sister topic… same problem.
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/livingworld/escape/So-about-all-these-Cyphers/first#post3657295
Usually the chest for leftover items (keys, cyphers) stays after the content is extracted for about 2 weeks. Like the chest in Kessex. This is what those players also expected this time.
To suddenly change that and misinforming players on purpose (if it was not just an honest mistake)… well, lets just say bad idea.
There are enough players around that feel trolled by Anet for quite some time.
Since the last patch that number is literally exploded.
The ones that are affected the most from this are the ones that Anet really wants to keep in the Game (those that work and throw real money in the gemstore).
Those that have not that much free time to waste on a game but the money to make up for it.
There are a lot of players that are just waiting for the release of another game that will be released soon and mistakes like this only encourages them to switch games when the time comes. For some even sooner.
There is a similar thread in the lwd section about this:
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/livingworld/lwd/Leftover-Cyphers
My point exactly. That answer to a question that specifically, can only lead to one conclusion.
I think they just made another error and hope for they´re sake that they will fix it.
Last time i trusted Anet on anything.
I seriously hope the missing chests are only a minor glitch and will be fixed.
Problem is, it rarely stops moving. Or worse, it decides to take a swin
From my personal point of view is most of the content in gw2 is just too easy.
The Dungeons are no challenge at all anymore.
Most Champions are solo or duo doable.
PvP is from my perspective boring as hell.
WvW, well lets just say it gets old with time (i am still an semi-active commander there, but yeah).
Tequatl… well, if you know how to organise this, its rather easy.
Wurm is a challenge. Even after we killed it and know the mechanics, the event is still very easy to fail (even when its not bugged).
Its one of the very few reasons for some players to actually stay in this game.
It is not for everyone. Most players even do not know how to dodge and thats just for starters. It isn´t just a autoshot and loot event.
There are some servers out there who are creating guilds especially for that content (Wurm), just like some did for Tequatl. Just keep an eye out for them.
But you will probably get an training on how your class acutally works and what you can do with it.
And for the “make it instanced” comments: WE AGREE!
Give us a map only we can enter
Anet: Please give us Guild Servers or stable overflows that can fit the same amout of players as a normal map.
We are actually willing to pay for it.
I really miss the overflow system from GW1.
But then again, the amount of time for preparation for only one event is insane and after taking a closer look on the rewards, thanks but no thanks. I will stick to Tequatl after the achievements are done. That one we do out of pure boredom:
Naked, without commanders, with everyone with a commander tag actually tagged up, without teamspeak, without turrets, without any preparation, gathering resources while on defense phase, while dancing, stopping midaction and doing nothing for 10-30seconds on defense phase, afking commanders, pink, without buffood and consumables and still having at least 6minutes left. Not all at the same time oc^^ We do it just for fun
I think i forgot something.
(edited by Thareen.5471)
For the curious ones, an overflow can fit about 20-30 less players then a normal server and the lags are horrible on such events. Also you always have to expect an DC for no good reason at all.
Crashes and disconnects. Not only the latter. Client can´t decide it seems.
Made that one obviously not clear enough.
Done that with support, crashlog, -diag ect with the same problem about 10, 7 and 4 months ago already.
About three months later (after the last one) it was fixed, now its back (since about a month) and it got even worse.
And thats only the two problems that bug me most. If i open a single thread for all those you had about 10 of them^^
But like i said, i am used to read all the time not to open a new thread if there is a similar one already.
On the german, french and when i remember correctly on the spanish forums for example there are official collection threads in the support section where all posts with that problem (like crashes) are posted in.
It actually makes things easier for the support.
Sorry for that. I usually see people whining about making new posts when there are already at least 10 with the same topic around. Search funktion ftw bla bla.
Just tried that one a few days ago. Got a brand new SSD, installed my Win7 prof 64bit on it, updated drivers bla bla. Downloaded the whole game again and it still happens.
Turning down graphics to minimum helps to reduce dc rate on full maps by about 20% but then the game looks just really ugly. Seriously even wow looks better than.
I do Tequatl 3-4 times a day and on every second run i get an dc (and about 5-20 other players also on ts on the same time and on very different locations like usa, gb, ger…).
Since we already created an overflow and the main map is hard capped you get no chance to get in again and get the reward. Also is waiting on the dc´d client for the event to get finished not an option, since it takes longer than 5minutes to kill him and than you still dont get the big chest.
I will give this game a bit more time (again!).
I paused this game three times already. Every time for about 3 months, but if this continues i finally will move on. That point is reached by now.
If i wanted to play a game with an unstable client and crappy servers i could have chosen any free to play mmo (those at least try to make it look like that they have an support).
Unfortunately, the error itself is coming from Windows and not the game. Its either Windows or hardware related.
Some other things you could try; removing/reseating your RAM and Video card. Re-install your video card drivers(choose custom install and click the “clean install” option.)
It is also not an hardware problem, have done all of the above also. Did not help either.
I even did get another graphics card. Still the same.
(edited by Thareen.5471)
Having disconnects and client crashes all the time since about 3 or 4 weeks.
Especially when a map is full. 5 up to 20 players (all on ts) get kicked from the map (dc) and can´t join in again, they will land in an overflow.
When you do the big metaevents like tequatl and get an dc on every second run… well lets just say the dc victims are not very happy about that.
Get that fixed soon please.
P.s. i play on minimum settings on an high-end pc and it still happens.
Uploaded the whole game again on an new SSD with a clean Windows (7 prof 64bit) just installed, but that did not help either.
Btw. playing on minimum settings is no fun at all, but it reduces crashes by about 20%.

Thanks for the awesome fight yesterday (15-12-13) between 1630 and 1730 on AM borderland.
Thought i would lost Bay and Hills, but we managed.
Will never underestimate our casual gamers again
Shame that i had to go off early on the evening.
Just had to report two Ruins of Surmia players (Ele & Ranger) from KOBW (Knights of the Blood Wish) for bugging themselves into two of our T3 towers. Sreenshots are available as proof.
Guys, seriously?
Try to be fair at least.
For our other opponents. Good luck and i hope for some nice fights.
Although i don´t know what got into Anets mind to set up this matchup.
@ikiturso, do not worry. That will never happen. Especially not AM with MS
Idk but last time we had an event we splitted the zerk between three commanders.
One got all plate and the other two got the rest and splitted that evenly. Every commander got about 20 players.
So the three out of four ratio did not work in that case.
Warriors are a bit op, but on most cases i see more guardians then warriors.
But maybe thats only on my server.
@ DanyK
You did read the Part about that one Mesmer was from Miller and the other one was me? So it was not us
And i am providing portals for those players unable to jump themselves. Not for the lazy ones.
P.s. /wave does not work most of the time. No manners nowadays.
About that trolling.
I was standing besides a Miller mesmer on the platform in the JP to port our people up, until a Gunnar ele showed up and kicked us both from the platform.
Grow up! When you want to roam go to the arena or on the other maps.
In the JP i would never attack an other player. Self defense is another Story.
I really think the selfcensored Trolls in the Arena were just curious PvE´Players or some selfcensored with no sense of honour or no sence of a social life at all.
There were Trolls from all three servers involved.
But in this case we can actually work together and gank them. Or explain to them that this behaviour is unwanted and will not be tolerated.
Do not actively help a troll. Let him/her die slowly and smile about it.
Maybe that will give them a bit of an education they seemed missing from home.
Moin!
First off: The Cata position on the bay is legit.
Following the statements of Anet or reading the comments of the officials in the forums helps a lot.
The speed-jumping around the Pillar on that same position that got fixed about a year ago, shortly after it was first discovered. The Cata position was also known then (even longer) and did not get fixed. 1+1=?
Second: The tower bug is also known. If someone get bugged through that door there are two options: Run up the stairs and jump out or stay and exploit away.
If i see someone with this, i usually wait with the report until i see how he/she reacts.
That is the normal procedere for most players.
Calling everyone a buguser or exploiter does not help.
If you are not sure, if something is a bug or exploit just ask or look it up.
Back to buisness:
For the Gunnars who think that Millers and AM have teamed up… you really should look up the german forums more often when we play against each other.
We are archenemies. Why? Read it up or ask someone who knows. I´m not a history teacher!
Just kidding, if you are really interested why we usually ignore the third party when we are matched up you can ask almost anyone on both servers. Its not a secret. But get ready for a very long story.
Just one word as a hint: [Army]
@Botinhas.
Thanks for the fight you mentioned, was a lot of fun for us too.
I love arrowcarts and the loot after
Btw we were only about 50 at that time and that was only because of a event that got interrupted by your attack.
What kind of event had you yesterday at 4am gmt+1 on eb?
Got overrun by a 75-80 gunnar freight train while roaming.
That thing was almost a mile long^^
P.s. i just had to explain to a gunnar mesmer who hided in they´re ex-garrison after we took it and got detected a few minutes later and almost got away alive, that a /bow emote is not rude. Its a sign of respect for at least trying or giving a good fight.
I respect my enemies. Especially those who are giving me a good fight, or do some crazy maneuvre
That i have to explain something fundamental like this almost shatters my hope in humanity.
So if you see a red clothed AM mesmer with Junk or HDD guild tag that does that kind of emote after winning a fight, thats probably me then showing my respect^^
(edited by Thareen.5471)
Think he means the gandara and riverside zergs.
Kinda like the AG zergs we had last week.
Not only those, also the Jadesea and Aurora after they got an population boom.
If you are extremly unlucky you see them… for a second, then you have time to count the players^^
If you run into this mass of players (especially with the old cullung system) you do want to do fractals too
Luckily they don´t have this playercount 24/7. But they do make a lot of WvW Events like i heard.
Best match-up so far for me.
Interesting fights and from time to time some new crazy tactics to learn… or better not to.
And at least not only 60+ zergs roaming our BL 24/7 like the past weeks.
Just out of curiousity, how many Players did you had on the massive attack this noon on EB for our Keep there?
Btw. big thanks to the enemy Commander wo did run into our “Turtle-with-ballista” on AM yesterday for almost an hour with his Zerg. So much loot^^
And to see the Spawn-Event fail halfway between your spawn and our tower, priceless!
And thanks for the big morale boost on our Troops!
Did by any chance, someone make a record of it? Would love to see this again

Community, cooperation, competition.
/sign
Every battle brings up new challanges.
Expect the unexpected.
A dungeon can never bring that much dynamic in a game as an enemy zerg with a skilled commander.
Ingame Currency? Not my concern, i have what i need.
Why should i get more of it? Its just collecting dust on the Bank.
And i don´t lose Money in WvW. I just do not make that much as in PvE.
Greetings
I am neither a female, nor do i care about the gender of any player.
But i have to say that most female players in GW2 i know, are almost always in WvW when they are online. But thats not enough:
Most of them are very dedicated with the tasks they take up voluntarily.
The dedication they are showing is astonishing:
When i ask via TS for a unpopular task that has to be done, like guarding a tower, camp or the watergate, checking a combatmark or just simply escorting/speeding a yak, in about 50% of that cases a female takes it up.
Our Supportteams would fail or at least loosing a lot of its efficiency, if we did not had them.
When i ask for a replacement, after leading for 6 hours or more straight, same percentage as seen above.
On AM are about 1/4 of the Commanders and Teamleaders female, and they are very good at it… and mercyless with a sense of humor. Numbers growing!
By the way, the leader of my Guild is also a female^^
P.s. how i know they are female? Teamspreak!
I tried to get the Bounty raised to a reasonable amount between 50s and 1g, but had no luck with it yet. Cheapskates!
Would make hunting him/her more worthwhile^^
