Some if not most of third party sellers require an advance warning about the release date, or it can get messy with the actual release.
Not talking about days or weeks, more like months.
A publisher just has the option of telling them to keep the date to themselves until the official announcment. Seems that someone forgot to mention that^^

Edit: Forgot to mention that the date is in fact a placeholder and might change a few times. Though from experience they should know by now that this just gets them a bad reputation.

Not sure about the other game content because i rarely have time for it lately, but i noticed a serious increase in lags/skilllags and out of sync animations on Tequatl after the first phase since that update.

Before the patch, I often seen SW failed. Now it never fails.

@Topic:
If a guild with more than lets say 20 members on a map fails Teq after the guard bandaid, you either had really kittenty pugs, did not cooridate them good enough, fracked up the defense phase, or you used some ancient tactics (ranged or wrong spot maybe?).

Our evening run yesterday went as smooth as usual with about 25 people on TS (including some pugs that actually joined TS for a change), but it was not as fast as it could have been. Still plenty of time left on timer with 5 and a half minute something (Prior to the condi/zerk update we considered less than 10 minutes left on timer a major dissapointment), even though lots of people were standing on the wrong spot.
All without any exploits (we don´t have Engineers on our runs, besides i kick people that use any exploit without mercy anyway).
Oh and by the way, most pugs usually show a 50/50 ratio between somewhat intelligent/useful and braindead. No offense intended.

Common sense, i would say.
If they intended to do it that way than they would be either even more incompetent than i thought, or just braindead.
Changing code is not that simple. At least if it has to function properly after the change.

Pre exploit fix:
I obviously can´t speak for the other EU communities here, but i know for a fact that most of them used the exploit on purpose, without any second thought.
But at least i can speak for the guild i am in.
I threatened to kick everyone using the exploit.
Took a bit longer bit was still managable.
And i did not had to kick anyone^^
I think that says a lot.

Post Exploit fix:
Killed it like usual.
Took not that much longer than before.
Slower with the double HP but still possible.
No need for qq.

And before anyone rages and calls me/us elitist or something like that:
We have about only 20-25 people on TS, rest of the map are random players (pugs) just using mapchat.
You just have to work with them and explain everything over and over again.
But if you are patient and work WITH them, they will not be totally useless.
Teq can still be killed. No need for a nerf or something like this.

I am (we are) acutally glad they buffed Teq.
And disabled the trait (fixing it would be preferred of course).
Finally it got a bit more interesting and fun again.

Another thing that gets mentioned here a lot is the kittenty reward.
You measure it in gold/time.
What? Is this your dayjob?
See it as an assemble of kittenty crap loot iced with 17k karma and the chance of an ascended weapon chest with a nice skin plus 2 gold (yes 2 not one, pay closer attention to your inventory before you loot the big chest and open the exotic one in your inventory).
If i would see it that way you do i would not even bother starting the game up.
One hour of real work out there in any given kittenty job can buy me pretty much about 800gems, which in turn translates to currently 145 gold or something like that.
Even if i would not live in an first world country but rather in a third word one, farming this for the gold would still not be viable in any way.
Stop looking at it from this point of view.

Besides, many people complain about not finding a map while still coming about an hour before the event even starts… silly people.
Just accept the fact that there is something called teamspeak.
2015 and people still refuse to use proper tools… what is it? 1995 for them?
Many guilds that still manage to kill it, use it.
There are open server communities everywhere.
Just join on their TS. You don´t even have to join any guilds for that.
Most of them start about 15minutes prior to the event (at least the more effective ones). Just be on their TS and listen, you don´t even have to talk.
This is where i really love my guild, 5-10 minutes preparation (depending on how many new players are online) is more than enough to make proper parties. No slacking or wasting time. Still getting an easy kill.
Call me elitist if you like, i just don´t like wasting time.

As for NA servers, besides ATT and TTS i am pretty sure that they also have those communities over there. Currently not really in the loop about NA.

If you are on an EU server i could suggest a few guilds with only around 20-100 players (all active) that still manage to do this. Also not all of them are elitist.
Sadly i don´t know any similar ones on NA servers.

At least that´s what i read when i scroll through some posts.
Get a grip. You have almost the whole game for yourself.
Nothing challenging at all.
Let at least those two events for the players that don´t want to faceroll everything.
And yes i include fractals, arah, temples and especially the other 22 worldbosses into that faceroll corner.
That´s pretty much the same discussion every single time they change something with either TT or Teq.

A good moneyprinting machine (ie company) takes in account all the variables.
In this case it´s the playerbase.
Get rid of the hardcore players and no one will take a game serious anymore.
They also throw a lot of precious $ at the screen.
You know, skins more slots and stuff. Not to forget, more skins.
Since not everyone of these is a no-lifer, they have to compensate their lower online time with the gemstore, since they just don´t have the time to farm all they want all day long.

For all the qq´ing people… i would suggest you install an mmo with real dynamic raids and try to master one of these for a comparison.
[edit] Hint: One that has an actual creature with actual mechanics and stuff, instead of an animated building.[/edit]

The majority of the high level content in GW2 is a joke compared to most other mmo´s. The so called raids in particular.
Just give it some time until the majority of pug commanders and some of the pugs will figure out or just copy from those that already know what to do and we are back on the everything is farmable train again.
Also let the devs fix the hitboxes first before you uninstall… nevermind, better just uninstall.

Funfact:
You do know that Tequatl itself is actually harmless?
It´s the fingers that kitten you. Just learn how to use reflects and press space when the ground moves in your direction (waves).

I really don´t know what problem so many people have.
It does not take much. Really.

Did the resetrun a few hours ago on a complete pug map.
First time in a long time that i did not recognize even one name.
There were at least 15 people afk (laying dead after a few seconds in to event for the whole remainder of the event, not even asking for a rezz once).
One full wipe. One Bonewall. Lots of QQ.
I was actually expecting a fail, because the first 8 1/2 minutes looked aweful.
Then people actually started doing what the guys with the funny symbols over their characters preached the whole time: Get on the DD spot and melee.
Spam reflects and/or kill fingers.
The defense phases were also not that smooth. Nearly failed twice.
Lots of people that left the map in hope to find a better one.
Still managed to finish it off with about a minute to spare.
All this with tons of people without any clue, kittenty turret operators/defense.
Teamplay was near zero.
The cheers afterwards of those that did not give up were even more rewarding.

Oh, and YES i do consider myself one of those filthy casuals/pugs while on such a map^^

If unorganized* pugs can do it… everyone can.

*means about 70% of the people still tried either range or upscaled the defense, most managed even both. Excluding the afkers. Only around three people knew what to do and wrote their fingers bleedy to save the day.

As for another example, we did an unplanned joined open run with another guild yesterday.
We in the melee zerg, with around 20 people (weekends are aweful) and the other guild with (really have to guess) maybe 5 or 6 of them operating the turrets.
Most pugs (the good kind for the most part) were either busy doing the defense, or were also standing on melee spot. Some tried to range or were playing with fingers.
If i´m not mistaken we had 9 minutes or so left. Correct me someone who was also there.
On that note, thanks again to the few guys from [Wums] for helping out.

It is really not that hard… tried a bit of teamwork yet?

Easy solution:
Ranged spec on turrets and their defense or even fingers. Melee → zerg.
Surving melee with mesmer or ele with ease in full zerker myself.
Just a matter of dodging/jumping at the right time, keeping creepers away and timed reflects.
Did not try necro, but since it´s even easier to survive almost everything with that one… meh.

And yes, every class is useful in one way or the other in melee on this encounter with the right armor/traits/weapons. Even the so much hated ranger.

There are still some people (not affiliated with any specialized guild/community) that actually take the time explaining everything on the map chat prior to the event, over and over again, despite really good guides on the net. Then of course there are still too many people that just don´t give a frack and continue being useless.

What´s the problem with joining one of said groups?
Even if it´s just for a very short time during the event?
Especially the communities have no prerequisites at all.
Except some that want you to join their TS.

The way i see it, is that they will tweak it a bit.
Make all hitboxes critable, align the animations to the actual event again (bit out of sync after 1st phase, plus skilllags or lags in general).
Just give them time to do this properly.
Rushing updates is what ruined certain things in the past.
You don´t need to be hardcore.
Just proper gear/traits & knowlegde of the event (dulfy guide ffs) is enough.
Of couse there are always players that want everything for free with faceroll 111111…
those people will qq until they get an precurser per montly login reward plus 100 Gems & 20 champbags for the daily login (did i forget something?). Don´t mind them.
Let there be at least two non-faceroll events. A third one would actually be nice.
How about a revemped Shatterer? It´s getting a bit repetetive tbh.

Btw. prior to this patch people that wanted to organize pug maps got sometimes flamed for tagging up and suggesting things. Seen enough pug maps fail due to not properly organized or too many leechers.
See the irony?

Who said it was soloable? Or that it even should be?
If i wanted to solo everything i would just play Skyrim or whatever.
On that note: 15 people was possible prior to the patch (google Tequatl falling).

Timer is fine, so is the HP.
It´s just an (not gonna say ltp) issue of knowing what to do and when.
Ranged dps is no longer viable. If you want to do Tequatl, do melee.
There are since the patch even more possibilities to do this right and not just basicly two (about melee & armors/traits).

I am actually glad that they beefed it up a bit.
Tequatl is not supposed to be an typical 11111111 press f for loot boss.

So if pug maps are no longer capable of adjusting their tactics to recent changes, you may want to join a specialized guild or community.
For those not much has changed when the timer is concerned.

The only thing that bugs me atm are the massive lags on this event, that we got since the patch. Just a bit annoying, nothing tragic either.

As far as the general gameplay is concerned i get more and more the feeling that Anet basicly wants to get rid of everything useful in any support-class/build.
Let them all reroll to warriors. I´ve seen more and more of those already lately and almost none of them knows what that class can really do.

What bugs me most about this last patch atrocity is that you can´t reflect the eggs at the 3H-Wurm anymore. As long as this is not fixed, no organized group/guild/alliance/community will bother with that Boss anymore as soon as they realize that they can´t use the established tactics anymore and that there are no real alternatives. It´s pointless now to even try.
The loot on that Boss is bad enough already for the invested time and effort.
Lets just stick to Tequila and continue farming him.
I rather spawn an extra Tequatl daily then try to beat the kaputt patched 3-Wurm.

Tequatl in contest with Wurm:
~1/10 preparation/organization needed.
Pugs don´t bother much there (at wurm even one pug that wants to troll and know how can ruin the whole run for ~150 players).
Loot is about 6 times higher including Karma.

It just takes 5 minutes of your time.
If you don´t know the mechanics (and they are laughingly easy) then you are basicly useless there.

As for getting into the right maps…
There are more than enough guilds/alliances/communities out there that do this on a daily basis as a wurm warmup.
GW2Community for example does several runs on several maps at the same time in different languages (english/german/spanish/french on EU servers).
On NA servers only english/spanish if i am correctly informed.
You do not need to join a guild or apply somewhere, just show up on their TS.
How to get their TS address? Google… ever heard of it?

If you can´t be bothered to join on an TS server (on time!) and learn the mechanics, this fight is simply not for you. 99% of this game is simply faceroll/autoshot-afk doable.

Even on EU servers, most pugs are fine. It´s the fraction of pugs that don´t listen/follow and just try to zerg it who ruining it for everybody.
The language barrier is bad enough, the auto enabled client-language is worse.

TL;DR Scaling, ever heard of it?

Takes 3 minutes with 5 players… just don´t zerg it.
Takes 5 Minutes with 10 players… see where this is going?
Takes 8 Minutes with 15 players… need new glasses?

Players that try to zerg it and still zerg it an hour later do not deserve it better
There is a word for it in german which i could try to translate, but i think the meaning of the word is even recognisable in the original: Lernresistent!

The whole event takes 5 minutes to beat on gold with minimum amount of players, even without VoIP. Goldreward really is worth the invested time. And yes it really is easy to beat. I am farming this event on gold with random players! Not guildmates, randoms… pugs… people i never have seen before.

P.s. WP when dead, you get the reward anyway and yes you still upscale while dead and useless (while dead).

I mean… seriously, you did this for 4 hours? WOW!
Thats some serious endurance there. Chicks should dig that^^ (pun intended)

Deserted? I never land on a map that is empty. Especially not when we/i try to organize there. Or are you playing on hours where normal people sleep/work? Or maybe a different timezone then the vast majority of players?

Raid content? lolz. Thats my new favorite farmingspot for tons of trashloot on gold-reward.
It´s so easy to organize. You don´t even need commanders for it. Just 5-10 players per boss that take 3 minutes to read up the bosses (seriously 3 minutes is for very slow readers in there) and you can farm this event with gold reward. Then it´s actually worth the effort.
The only thing that bugs me in there (besides the language filter automaticly enabled) is the superfast spamblock which makes coordination without VoIP a bit annoying but not impossible. Please Anet, enable Teamchat in there!

TL;DR mimimi?
Problems with timer? Don´t zerg it. The less players per boss the better.

P.s. next step 3 players per boss. Scaling ftw.

Set respawn timer for all champions in areas under level 40 to 30 minutes or make them veterans/elites in areas under level 40 like it happened with the last update. Some things should not be posted on the offical forum. Sometimes “they” read it too and react, if you catch my drift.

Keep the trains alive, especially in the high level areas or normally deserted maps.
Lots of those areas between 40 and 60 are totally deserted except when guild missions or special events are up. Those maps could benefit from an influx of players.
It just was a mistake to build them up on starter areas in the first place for several reasons.

Well, we did a series with 13 runs with the guild today, all with 2-3 minutes left on gold reward. About 25-50% (more on later runs) of the participants were pugs… excuse me, randoms.
We took the time to explain it quickly in different languages (change client language accordingly) and it worked very well. Even when they had to stop dps most listened.
The one guy on my boss (boom) for example that continued to dps had a french guild name, so i just whispered him with “lé stop dps” and it actually worked.
Players actually can learn if you take the time and explain it to them in detail (don´t overdo it, TL;DR syndrome) and more importantly the reasons why (especially the maximum of 10 players per boss).

Edit: Totally forgot. Our guildrun was coordinated on Teamspeak obviously.
On the afternoon i helped on an french organized run and translated to english and german. Same principle like our run, just that i was not on the TS (french :/ ) and did not tag up. We got several times silver and a few gold & bronce. Lots of pugs. Still it did work, mostly.

These communties acutally try everything to get their members to the map.
Also these communities cooperate with each other and make sure that they are not on the same map blocking each other. But first you would have to join one of these communities.
Players that self organize is a myth. Sure sometimes it happens, but it is rare.
Also sometimes there are some precursor drops, they are rare too.
With most players i encounter ingame i have the feeling that they misunderstood the requirement for that game in terms of age with IQ. No offense.

Disabling the kitten language filter would help a lot.
Just tried to organize it public with a few other commanders, total chaos.
Instead of equaly dividing between the commanders one had almost all while the others only had a few. Zerging seems too popular.
This is why the ones who can organize it are fed up and rather wait until they can do it without stress with the guild.

What you just posted is well known in our ranks, we just don´t advertise it that much. This we took into consideration too. Since the new patch yesterday there are just some extra difficulties now to consider. Before that you could acutally play with the system and get it to work in your favor when you have the numbers and the knowledge. This does not work anymore. Thats the problem.

There are no more server communities. Megaserver, remember?

They still exist, but most don´t advertise anymore that they do, plus it´s harder to recruit anyway. Also the cross-server communities still thrive… yet.

The mentioned try is called guestpass.
Of course you can try the same guestpass all over again 10 times, but:
Try to imagine how an average player who just home from work thinks. When it takes 1 hour to get to join an event that is finished in 15minutes they get restless/bored whatever. This is why they joined a specialized guild in the first place and this is why we usually do the “getting all into one map” within 5 up to 10 minutes. Organising itself also takes up to 5 minutes at maximum, then the event will start. 10 minutes for all or 1 hour for all, what sounds better for them?
When they have to go to character select 10 times they get kittened. Try to work with the masses and try to understand them. Not everyone is so understanding and just keeps trying.
The guesting system does not work reliable since megaserver. It´s not supposed to work at all since then.
About the succesful runs, of couse we still have our 99% killrate that one will not change. It´s about getting all in one map. No point in splitting on up to five maps. Whats the point of the guild then when you can´t do stuff together? And i mean all of them!

Trust me, they (we) tried. We do this everyday on Tequatl. Most random players are just lazy and hope they will get the rewards by afking or pressing one all the time instead of just listening to the commanders.
Joining these communities is actually easier then most think. GW2Community for example. Just google it.

It´s actually both. We managed to still get it to work on megaservers through the unlimited guesting. Sometimes you just have to try up to 6 times until it works. Now you have only 2 tries.
Guilds suffer due to the latest changes and the sad thing is that with every update it gets worse.

Your players do not get thrown into 20 different maps like when you let them guest everywhere (prior to megaserver), they land on 4 up to 5 maps and from there you have to make the best out of it. All of those maps have maybe 20 free slots. Your guildrun get scattered and you can either give up, join the try on the map or even take over. But doing your own run is out of the question. We did extensive testing on all these possibilities, the outcome is far from encouraging.

Edit: Joining works only until the map is full. Don´t even hope that around 100 randoms will leave the map even when there is no organized event up.

I am not talking about 12 people. Read that part above again please. The 100-150 players even got mentioned. No point doing it with an guild on an guildrun when you have those numbers, only to split them up.
Maps fill up fast and the cap is also reached very fast.

Edit: your mentioned guesting method was tested too, does not work.

It´s also a huge drawback for Tequatl and 3H-Wurm. Prior to patch you (the whole guild, that means 100-150 players at once) could just try to guest somewhere until you find one empty enough to do it with the guild. Now you have two tries, if you can´t find one with those two then you are either forced to do it with randoms while splitting up your guild over five different maps or just forget about it. I personally are fed up with randoms and rather log out to play something else to relax. Organizing an Tequatl with randoms is a headache worth at best. 3H-Wurm is just impossible with them.
At least give guilds a chance to make it instanced during primetime.
The so called megaserver-algorithm for guilds still does not work.
Waiting till midnight to spawn it manually when almost no one is around anymore is not an option. Some people actually have to go to work the next morning. There is a reason we do these events on primetime.

When you have too many pugs… sorry… “other players” on the map it can be catastrophic, especially if it would have been an close kill in the first place without the bug or when they don´t grasp the fact that they can still dps.
Yes, something like that can acutally happen, taking them 8 minutes to get to first burnphase and then all of a sudden too much dps.
It also depends heavily on the burnphase itself, which one it is.
Plus the missing loot sucks, bad enough that the loot is already bad in comparison to the time spend.

For those interested, the bug was first encountered during the first LA event update.
Don´t really understand how they managed to brake Tequatl while adding totally unrelated content on another map and still did not managed to fix it.

Can´t be bothered with 5 minutes of reading? Then you simple don´t deserve it!
Same goes for Wurm!
I stopped commanding runs for Pugs. It´s just not worth the grey hairs.

As for those that want to do it with an organized group:
There are plenty out there. Both for Tequatl and Wurm. Just look for it.
Almost every Server has it´s own Tequatl guild (even language based ones for those unwilling to learn english).
For Wurm there are also at least five alliances still doing it on an daily basis.
Both on NA and EU.
Don´t want to join any of them? Then stop complaining.
There is more than enough content for the autohit 1 afk players in this game.
Don´t mess with those who are willing to go one step further.

P.s. we did ask for Anet to make it instanced, they did not give a kitten.

All it needs is one person that knows what to do and how to explain and about 60+ ppl that can comprehend and actually do what the one explained.
It is not for the Champ-/Bossfarmtrains players that only know how to press 1 and use the WP to the next Boss after they pressed F for loot.
Still surprised that they manage to actually know how to use a WP.

The only issue some ppl CAN ran into, is when there is too much DPS during the stunphase. Just a very well known bug introduced during the LA LS.

700+ Teq kills and counting. Loot still sucks!

Another little thing i could test out and can now confirm as another bug.
Since some GM do not finish even after they are completed:
For example the rush, you start it, you get 15 players through.
In the past you could just start the next mission and continue there while the timer continues. When it ran out the mission counted as finished and your guild recieved the rewards. This is no longer always the case.
After you finished the run, at least one person has to stay there until the timer runs out or your guild will not be rewarded. Just do not take the risk, one have to wait there.
This is also the case with the puzzle and some of the challenges.
Hope this helps a few other guilds with that problem.

AP Leaderboards make 4k and 17k AP the same

I have no idea why people try to measure others by their AP. They say absolutely nothing about that player other than that he/she has too much time or concentrating on farming AP.
Even some other players like the hardcore PvP/WvW players have usually only something between 3k and 10k. At least they know how their characters/builds work and know how to play. Some of the worst players i encountered so far have 15k+.
Basicly the same principle like with the legendary weapons. Having 8+ Legendarys does not make anyone a good player in terms of skill.

Also there are the french and German players who refuse to speak english and are not helpful at all they need their own servers.

What about all those english players that refuse to talk Spanish, French, German, Polish, Portugese, Italian and so on?
There was a reason for most of them to choose certain servers in the first place. Most non-native English speakers can speak at least two languages, but English is not necessarily the first one, depending on where they live and how old they are. Most native English speakers only speak their own language, does not matter how old they are or where they live. Before you criticize something like that, start in your own court.

For the record i speak four (4) languages besides my mothertongue.
How about you? Just curious.

But with one thing you are right, they need their own servers! The sooner the better.

Guildmissions bugged again for us, but this time only the Puzzle.
Still thats 30 Merits we are missing from this week. That means 3 Tequatl/Wurm we can´t spawn.
At least this time everyone got the Commendations for all that stuff we did.

Submitting a bug report does nothing, opening a ticket does also nothing.
At this point i am pished off (again!).
Anet do you even care anymore about the players and their guilds? We know already that you don´t give a frack about cross-server communities no matter how many thousand players they have. Whats with the rest?

That zerg mentality stops at Tequatl, i am still surprised people are still trying to zerg him and don´t bother to read the event up and keep on failing on a daily basis for weeks now^^
