Ive been waitting for them to fix mine, i guess no GW 2 for me for a few more hours. Sigh
I agree with having a pin to access bank and storage , even would be good for guild stash , deep cave etc.. even a crummy game like runescape has the bank pin on screen keypad, they even randomize the the keypad arrangement each time to thwart key/mouse loggers. Would have been great for our guild when one of our guild mates got hacked and they cleaned out his bank and a large portion of our guild stash
Not only that, how about a onscreen keypad for the login screen. The screen before you log into GW 2 then play from there on, the PIN system should include symbols and letters. So the hackers wont know the combination, since most PIN systems are just 4 numbers. 8 would be nice, that would make it way harder to crack than a 4 digit PIN system.
Why not make a onscreen keypad for people to input their password, everytime they open their inventory and storage? This will greatly improve the security of the game, if you cant put the pass in. Then it prevents the thiefs from stealing Inventory and Storage items even gold, a passwording system would be good for sending mails aswell. Since alot of people use it, hackers will find it convinient that nothing is stopping them from doing it. Also buying Gems should have its own password system, this is a real threat since people do spend real life money on this game.
PS. Should keep track of what country they are on. Cause as i said on a previous post, no one can move from one country from the US then suddenly pop out in the UK in a low time frame. Logs should be looked into, that will help severly.

GW 2 is the only game that i play to relax after work.
Why not track the movements of the Mail ingame? From what i researched it isn’t that hard to track down a Mail being sent to the reciever, since the game is IP tracking why not see the inconsistancy of the location. For example how can a person from the US suddenly appear in China? Isn’t that suspicious enough already? Also players do not just strip themselfs for no reason, and send stuff to people they have no relation at all. Ive been mind cracking my head around the fact, they hacked me without getting on my email to authenticate their IP which is rather suprising. Why not track the movement of the money through the mails? Thats simple enough, you don’t need large amounts of Data just to track one specific Mail when you can ask the hacked person for the details. And what not, we all need help. And this suggestion will save Arena time on deciding on what to do.
PS. A person cant move from 1 country to another in a short amount of time, unless their someone with wealth (Which i doubt a rich person would just sit down, enjoying games when they can go out and see the world) the IP tracking should be looked into seriously, i know you guys keep logs of all of it.
I know this issue has been answered before but I still hava question.
The guild I’m in(Army of Lightness [AoL]) has had it’s bank robbed by the Guild Lord who got his account hacked. The hacker(s) took anything that was worth anything out of the bank and now its all gone. Of course we just started a lottery in the guild so the bank was loaded with goodies.
So my question is.
Can’t Anet give things back since there is so roll back function yet? You have proof that the GL was hacked(he got his account back) and the Guild Bank Log can’t be manipulated and it shows that the GL’s account took stuff out of there, in the time frame that he was hacked.
From hours of waitting and research and what Arena has setup, they can literaly track down peoples mail ingame and see what he/she sent to who. They even got an ip loging tracker on the account page, not effective but it does it work. They could just take back the stuff someone stole and return them, a system of tracking so if its put up to the Black Lion Auction House it can still be tracked. Thats probably the only way to help all of us that are hacked, and our stuff stolen without Arena putting in money in the game to flactuate the economy.
How long does it ussualy take to fix this issue? I really want to get back to my normal gaming time, playing this game relaxes me after hours of work.
I need to know the ETA on this fix, cause im really anxious to get back and play the game. I heard rumours on youtube that Arena wont restore items and gems/gold, and that im not going to recover the stuff i worked hard for (And given to me by my friends) i need a reply asap to my ticket please Arena. I spent hours waitting and waitting…
I got an email from a person, i don’t know if i should email back or not. Cause im very scared… It might be a fake Arena email… :/

I sent a ticket for a rollback, it just making me even sadder that all my progress will be lost. And all the items i got will be lost also.
I feel for you, I got hacked while on a month long vacation. Came back to play to find my email was changed to China. Bank and all gold wiped clean and to add insult they deleted my 2 80’s leaving only my lvl 20ish lowbies. All achievements all work done to main poof. This was before the 12/1 acount rollback possible so just SOL.

It is worse, my reputation on my guild is now ruined. The leader wants me to payback what the hackers stole, infact all the stuff i got stolen from my account is way more than the gold stolen from the guild. Cause of the Gems and the Gold i have (Few silvers) almost 2 Gold on my person, and those items that are Soulbound on Use. It crushed my spirit, and now i don’t know if i should play at all if the rollback happens…
Sorry to hear but you are in luck that a 1 time rollback is now possible, you will need to create a support ticket. Unfortunately, my understanding is your guild is screwed.
It is coincidence you are on RoS which has had quite a few hacks. There is another thread on here where commanders had been hacked all from RoS.

Ive been playing Guild Wars 2 for quite sometime now, having fun and doing all Quest and Side Quest having a fun time. Then suddenly i got an error that someone tried to login on my account while i was playing, i didn’t pay any notice to it cause it might be a server side error. But just recently when i tried to login to enjoy the game, it didn’t accept my password and it got me nervious. So i changed my password and when i got on, i got a mail from my guild telling me why i withdrawn all the guild fundings. I checked my backpack and all my christmas event items are gone (Only the account bound stayed, and items thats already bounded) checked my inventory in storage and everythings gone, all my gems are gone (Only 1 left) All my money is gone (Aka Gold, Silver, Copper) even the crafting materials are gone (The ones that are useful). I don’t know whats going on, cause my email is only MY use only no one else has access to it. And i never share any information about me online, and my password is anything but easy to crack. Can someone please tell me whats going on? I’m on the Ruins of Sornia (Is this right?) i sent a ticket to Arena, im gonna lose a few days of progress and the items i got during that time. I really really love this game, but things like this really kills my mood…
