They indeed should have warned people better,about having to start all over with the guild when switching servers..though I find out in time.
If you do not have permition to buy things with guild influence and earn points on other server for a guild ,
you are wasting time because nothing will ever be done with that influence unless someone in the guild gives you permition to buy upgrades/or the guild moves to your server
(which i doubt many will do now it costs 1800 gems each player)
Or perhaps they should have a group offer transfer for guilds..

They allowed joining a guild in other region from the beginning(which is wrong if they would ever separate US/EU).And now the only thing I can do with the guild I used to play with in gw1 on the us channel is switch over to have a chat.
But if I earn any influence I earn it on my server and not theirs.(so i can do nothing with the influence while I earned like 700 influence for them thus far)
I am unhappy about the part that I cant play with my friends from gw1 I used to play with and that I have to make a choice between them or my friends here in real(which I obviously have chosen as long as they play too)
But I still feel very bad about it as it is now

As a player with home server on EU now (as some people i know in real play the game now.)I still like to be able to play with my US friends from gw1 and feel bad that I can’t
I really hope they’ll change their mind about keeping the regions,and many gw1 players separated

I think this happened about 3 times to me now.
I have teamspeak and client open when it happens but last time I noticed I can make it stop if I go to my deskop and close the guildwars2 client.
Other times I stopped playing immediately and restarted my computer

Its a sound fading in and out again;something like wwwweeeeeiwww…wwwweeeeeiwww…wwwweeeeeiwww…wwwweeeeeiwww…wwwweeeeeiwww…wwwweeeeeiwww…kinda like an alarm
Annoying enough to go mad if you would keep listening to it.
It just happens at random moments

Dungeon entrance (party) games

new social features,mingames/ways to interact to keep you busy during the wait in front of dungeons <—>difficulty scale system based on the amount of players doing the dungeon..
I personally like to know immediately what I’m dealing with:if i can handle the trashmobs or not..
I think if you put normal mobs only at the beginning of a dungeon you fool players in thinking they are ready for a dungeon while chances are they actually are not ready for it.
The only way I could see that work is with a difficulty/reward scaling system,based on the amount of player within the dungeon(with minimum 3 for example)

Full party isnt a must to do dungeons though,but then you’ll probably die way more often.(if you are able to finish after all)
I guess dungeons are build for 5 players..
But that is for another topic,though it is relevant in a way.

These party games at the dungeon entrances would rather increase the possibilities to interact,socialize and have fun with friends and other players at the dungeon alike..
It is an extra drive for players to approach other players.And even get to know them a little better and have fun with them before entering the dungeon itself.
Chances are higher you know beforehand whether you are on the same line with the persons you eventually enter the dungeon with.
So everyone good friends-> better dungeon experiences
Spamming lfg is well boring and you never know what you’ll find.(I refuse to do it)
The party games at the dungeon entrances may not be a dungeon finder,but it would undoubtedly bring people together..
All on top of the fact that you could entertain yourself instead of just standing there waiting for a group to show,spamming lfg and do the desperate dance,..yadayada
And with small rewards from these games,its better than trying to find a group for an hour and gain nothing(even lose waypoint moneys sometimes and/or time walking there in the first place)
If this would be introduced you gain fun and friends.
I think it would be the best dungeonfinder" ever too..

It can get tiring waiting at a dungeon gate for a friend to get online/that last random player to join in order to finally get in the dungeon itself..
In worst cases you end up waiting at dungeon entrances for anyone to show and fill map chats with lfg till you get cranky about it faster as the ones reading it..
Busting out some sweet dance moves seems like the best thing to do in these situations.And is there really a reason to dance at dungeon entrances?I mean,where is the party?I truly love emotes and that we can dance and all,but at the moment dungeon entrances are like parties without booze

So at dungeon enterances we need some and consolation prizes for all the sexy players whom beauty is wasting away at dungeon entrances
Seriously though,it makes you age faster as a skritt in quarantine…ANd while you are waitng at the dungeon entrances,no shinyyyyyyyyyy!?
But what if there would be some sort of minigames/party games at dungeon entrances for the unlucky single player and the “almost full group” to enjoy during their wait?
After all,they are a meeting place for lots of players but one gets bored rather quickly just standing around there.
(and ofcourse,you could always do something else in gw2 but as it is now you will always lose something waiting at the dungeon;time,patience and/or money)
And we all will get to a point where we have to wait at dungeon entrances sometimes

so a few examples:

Murder mystery
when a party enables this 1 player drops dead right in front of the dungeon entrance(no gear damage) and the other players have to solve the murder looking for clues in the area around the dungeon
First player to gather all the clues wins a small prize.

A revampt duckhunt?
where each player stands on a row and have to hit the target as much as possible,one who hits target most gets small prize.
Or the targets are murrelow instead of ducks,or king adelbern in front of AC laughing maniacally behind the bushes if yo miss the target..

Puzzle bobble (pretty much like the elementalist air skill underwater)
some contain a mob others a small reward,the one who is surrounded with the most of the same sort at the end will pop.

hot potato?pass the parcel?,….-insert more creative thoughts here-

The point of them is to make every aspect of the game fun,even the wait in front of the dungeons.
And give players without luck the possibility to still get a chance at a small " consolation prize" for the effort of getting to the dungeon entrance and spending time there.
People might actually forget to spam lfg in mapchat and that it isnt their lucky day…
And players in front of dungeons are more eager perhaps to play a minigame together..thats how friendships are made to eventually do dungeons with..
It will also encourage players to hang out and socialize around dungeons
We play games so we can amuse ourselves,so every aspect of the game should be as fun as possible.
Dungeon entrances could be more fun.

New Dailies

Too hard to finish dailies? y’all must be joking.. finished the first daily in half an hour and the second one half an hour past midnight…most of the things you just finish as you go in a play together,like the combo finishers…any easier and they could just give the dailies reward automatically at login…Then people would start complaining that dailies are too trivial

The new setup for dailies is great for new features in the future and the layout has much improved.
with selective objectives in the future you could just decide each day which area of the game you’d like to play,give a little extra magic to each of those areas like obtaining tools from the scout to discover thingies in dungeons and fractals like artifacts that give you some extra money and let you do dailies in another way.
And it is perfect to give new meaning to starting areas in the future too.
Introducing reinforcements to wvw to prevent cullling,based on how your server fights of the enemies of the races in the begin area’s(encounter those in new ways),aid the different cities(roleplayers not neglected) for racial buffs on top of the dailies…
To be short this setup opens doors to loads of possibilities for new features and thats why its a good change to the dailies so far

I thought the daily would be selective (complete 3 objectives out of 5 or similar) to get the reward. What happened to that?

This system for picking from a list for dailies, along with rotating in new more specific achievements will be added in a later release to build on the system going forward. As discussed in the Gw2 in 2013 blog post this is really just the ground work for the systems coming down the road.

selective objectives would be the next step in the good direction
A few things that could take dailies to a next level:
*specific locations
*social activities that require interaction,socializing and participation within the city walls(perhaps even players roleplaying their race could get extra racial bonus within thier city)
*fight agains the enemies of the races (inquest,sons o svanir,nightmare court,centaur,..)so your servers gets more reinforcement in wvw of the race(s) that got sufficient support in pve during several days
*if you go to puzzles,dungeons,fractals you could choose the adventure-mode daily where you get extra tools to discover nice thingies (find x amount artifacts in dungeons experementing away with these tools.
if you enable this mode you can get several random tools from the scout and then its up to you to find out what to do with them

Makes Laurel Account bound for LOVE of god so we can play alts more seriosly im forced to complite them whit my main caracter now stupid

I just completed my second dailies and it looks like laurels are more like arenanet points,whichever of my characters I log on with it now displays 2 laurels
so you could just finish them on any character i think

what i get only on the low lvl carcter ranger 1 laurel and i dont get on my main lvl 80 warior laurels it seys 0

odd,i just rechecked and on all of my characters it says 2 laurels now in the inventory (it wouldn’t be nice if it forced you to play on 1 character to get anywhere for that character with laurels so i prefer it adds to the whole account inventory like anet points..cause i wouldnt like it if I could only spent laurels on character I finish dailies on

I am very pleased with the updates so far(aside from the few rollbacks and 7 11 errors)they are headed in the right direction..
Also I have many alts but I aint really bothered that I get 1 a day,plenty of other ways to get some nice thingies,aside from the new and interesting things laurels offer

And yes maybe in the future dailies could involve going to specific location where you have to do things and fight of the enemy of a race so they can send reinforcements to wvw

i got disonnected several times since patch (error 7 and 11) and already noticed 2 rollbacks since the patch launched too
Very glad about that,since i tried to buy something of trading post +12 gold but didn’t get the items but still lost the gold.Glad the rollback got me my money back though

I read through the link you gave and that is exactly what gw2 needs;commotion and events with lasting effects,big impact and perhaps phases over a few days
And like you said in that link each zone is said up for this with : humans vs centaur, Charr vs Ghosts/Flame Legion, Syvari vs Nightmare Court/Krait, Asura vs Inquest, Norn vs Sons of Svanir
Not just eventchains that happen all over again within half an hour or so..
Its ironice to see people who like to have pve and wvw more seperated while the real salvation is to bring them closer together.
I however do agree with people that participating in pve or wvw should be a choice.As it are two areas.but perhaps it are the devs who have to make each of them more attractive by bringing them closer together,influencing each other..giving more meaning and ways to play each of these areas of the game…
But adding the reinforcement of cities to wvw based on how well players fight all the bad sides like centaurs,ghosts,inquest,..(new ways to encounter them will also make begin areas more appealing to revisit)
Pve players will get a meaning to play in starter area’s;battle in pve to support wvw,gain daily racial buff in their own cities,…
While wvw players would have more on their mind than just getting to the first best commander forming a zerg;they also have to deal with the invaders world’s reinforcements..
And they have to manage their own reinforcements. The infuence with reinforcements pve has on wvw could also drive these zerg further appart and increase the chance its a fail strategy..So it adds more strategy to wvw and more meaning to keep playing in pve areas as well…

On top of that,if lets say you are a tailor and decide to send in some of your crafted cloth to empower the reinforcements of your world
It could add ways to gain badges of honor in different ways so players have more options how to play.
And what they do has a meaning,and it is not all centered around the killing for a change…

Connecting Pve and WvW more together,adding more importance to other cities,…
Perhaps there are ways to do both these things at the same time.
Like when players participate in city events they can send in reinforcements and when races participate in their own town they could get like a racial bonus that day..
Also gathering materials and donating them ofcourse,but perhaps the racial reinforcements that are available to wvw depend on how well pve players fight off nightmarecourt,sons of svanir,inquest,…

I especially like your city based economy idea Ryan.
Perhaps something I’d like to see too are things happening all around town like
mad meatgrinder vs hot tavernkeeper Joe causing great commotion in whole town when they want to prove who has the most successful business..It turns into a city event where all players in town can choose who they’d love to see succeed,aid them to achieve it in all kind of ways,
and the rewards are different on each side for this event and you see the effects of who has won for a longer time (few days,week perhaps)
which then again unlocks different things to do in town during that time(where you can work on your title as tavernking or waiter if hot tavernkeeper Joe wins and you helped him)

Is it done on purpose that better loot drops for your profession drops on other profession types?like for example good heavy armor dropping more for scholars and vice versa?
I rarely get the good loot for my own profession and usually exchange the items with my friends ingame who play another profession type and get the “better” drops for my profession..
So I was wondering if this is done to encourage socializing or something

also I play very much and if i’m very lucky i can have like 2-4 rare drops on a day that are worth some silvers,exotics drop way less
Also magic find banner +foods to increase magic find don’t seem to increase item drop rate very much but rather gives few more blues,greens and better mats instead of all the junk and salvage thingies
But the biggest dissapointment to me regarding drop behavior is chestloot and boss drops 90% chances its like blue item(items if you are lucky) with a crest,..
sometimes killing a boss like for half an hour and only receiving like a silver and the stuff you get for event succes is really a sour experience.
This is probably also why people skip on bosses that take longer to kill and go for events that can be completed faster
Also most people try to loot chests out there and run for it when the mob gaurding it is distracted.Or even worse,when you are fighting to kill a boss to get to a chest they just ignore you while you are fighting for your life,loot the chest and run for it…
Maybe the event reward system should also be applied to chest looting..the more you participated the better your chances are to find some nicer thingies in the chest
This way players looting chest and running for it only get the blue item,but they deserve as much..
Or perhaps a desertion debuff decreasing the drop rates for such selfish players would be nice(becoming active if a player looted a bigger or grand chest and let other player die while fighting the boss to get to it)

Aoe is not the big overal problem
Something overpowered in pve might feel underpowered in pvp and vice versa
I’m not gonna fingerpoint to a specific profession “that one is way op” cause the grass always looks greener at the other side.
(until you play the other profession and see what they have to sacrifce to deal some extra damage or to outlive more than one encounter..)

The combat system is very dynamic and aoe helps to make it so.
The real problem is fingerpointing the problems because it may not always be profession-wise either or on the same area of the game
like in pve,where mesmer has phantasmal warden as a desperate tool to deal some aoe when chaos stom misses,still sometimes when a strong mob casts an unexplainable powerful aoe
the warden is dead before even doing anything(same goes for shattters)..leaving the mesmer with few or without hits on mobs in pve sometimes compared to other professions with many aoe skils in pve.
So perhaps environmental aoe is a factor too;it should be more explainable sometimes

If you want to do as much damage as a warrior as an elementalist in pve expect to die alot cause you have to sacrifice everything of toughness to be on the same damage level
I see alot of complaints about dagger/dagger ele but I don’t think people realize what they sacrifice for this as a scholar
Is it wrong to play as a glass cannon?(how about melee cannon?)Not imo,as long as you have fun and don’t mind all the dying on the road.
Also in pvp i followed a match between friends:crit ranger vs D/D ele..first time ele down in one hit,the other time it took the ranger 2 hits with longbow on sight.
Maybe that tells very damage oriented ele’s could deal alot of damage in pvp/wvw,but die faster than they can deal damage in melee with D/D..they are a mouse for the cats.And unless they go very tough/support-like they will die alot
Infact some of the aoe spells of the ele are pretty underwhelming on all areas of the game,meteor shower coughs*Some of the ele aoe cant keep up with the fast paced combat style i have the impression(people dodge and run ,slow slow aoe,especially on staff)
Of all the profession elementalist is the most difficult profession to solo and stay alive with during the leveling process too imo(thief is close but has more escape tools form combat in pve)
Nothing is easier to level than a minion master,in lower areas they can even solo group events once they reach higher levels

Which might be another thing;..is it the aoe or the down and up scale not balanced everywhere(begin/end game) as it should be perhaps?
Whatever you do,never take steps too drastic when it comes to nerfing professions
Perhaps in wvw there should be some kind of negative effect if people just spam the same aoe too many times on the same locations.Or if too many of same professions spam their aoe on each other it should reduce intensity or something…
Sometimes when i go in downed mode because of an Aoe created by mobs/boss i’m like where did that come from.but does this mean it is too powerful?perhaps a crucial graphic effect is missing to indicate its time to dodge,..so many factors here..One for a fact;the problem is not just aoe in totality

Do you think people like “ditching” their friends?and even pay for it now?You can call it whatever but people don’t choose this.They all want to play together but it looks like the guesting won’t allow it after all.The system doesnt allow it
In gw1 you could switch channel from Us to EU and back just like that within seconds
And they pretty much promised you would be able to play with just anyone in gw2
People have build up friendships and communities in gw1 and hoped to continue playing with those friends in gw2
As Anet never mentioned something about the US/EU restriction until now though people joined their beloved guild of gw1(US in my case)
and then I joined friends I know in real on a Eu server because they didnt want to play on a US server,I knew guesting was coming…(as i dont want to abandon my friends from gw1 either,and perhaps i trusted too much in play the game how you want with who you want)
So I settled on the EU server Piken Square where my in real friends wanted to be(isnt it logical to choose the home server your in real friends are on?)
But I did this with in mind that guesting was coming,so I thought this wouldn’t matter at all(as they never mentioned the US/EU restriction before)
Now that all players kinda have chosen their home server they would all need to rearrange and swap server to be on the same one (someone has to give up everything they have been doing on one end,and all getting on same server is impossible sometimes,take my situation)
You should feel sorry for all the gw1 communities that are lost in gw2 because of this restriction
And anger is a big word but very understandable I think(very sad and disappointed on the matter is more accurate I think)
Isnt it odd either?them allowing you to have joined your guild of gw1 in gw2 on whatever US/EU server,talk with them and all
while they mention a fix called guesting,now going like “nope sorry,cant play with them unless you give up everthing and switch to US”

Also earning influence for the guild on the other server ,while you are on your home server, is pointless if you dont have the rights to use up the influence in that guild and when they will never be on the server you are earning influence for them

I know I already asked it somewhere on these forums but would you please reconcider to allow guesting on both US and EU server(or allow to have 1 home server on both fronts)
Used to play guildwars1 on a US channel and also joined the same US guild in gw2.But since my in real friends started playing they wanted to be on a EU server
so I switched but now I can’t play with the friends I used to play with in gw1 since they are on US server Stormbluff isle in gw2
Change it pretty please with a cherry on top

The other day my norn girl was like “my legend grows” while pointing with her scepter to the sky..And I was like “omg she is a genius”
Getting a legendary is so hard at the moment..i bet if you are a boss who infuses all the money of his company in guildwars 2 you could get one immediately though..
But shouldn’t legendary weapons be something you earn ingame as a longtime fan?
cause I think I can call myself pretty hardcore but when i see the mats and money for legendary even i’m like “I guess i have to stick with exotic”
Wonders how casual players feel about this,even casual players can be hardcore fans though, they may not have as much time to play,but that doesnt mean they can’t be

So is it just money that should decide who gets legendary,or should “devotion” to the game count as well?
Casual and hardcore players could both be long-time devoted players so they both deserve to get legendary at some point in my opinion

So,what if you would unlock a transformation process(not a daily or monthly but 2 or 3 year mission)
when transmuting your weapon on lvl 80 as exotic/ascendant if you keep carrying over the skin during all these years,kill 150 bosses with it,..
it turns into a legendary(perhaps one you could name yourself)
When the skin turns into legendary it gives you a legendary version of the weapon transmuted stat-wise

This way hardcore and casual players alike that are very loyal and devoted to gw2 could get legendary eventually..
Players feel that they earned the legendary too and it even has an emotional value to them on top of that, perhaps
Let your legend grow

I am mostly annoyed when I am looting during a fight and then I start ressing a dead npc..
Maybe if you press f for like 5 seconds that you could prioritize loot over reviving or reviving over loot

Different ways playing wvw to prevent culling

Yesterday I was watching Colin Johanson in a livestream where at the end of the show I said I wanted to play a quaggan and Colin replied “they are good for hugs”
They also talked about the fight agains culling in wvw,which indeed is a big issue at the moment because people feel safer killing off invaders in bigger groups.
But what if not everything in wvw could be done by killing off invaders and destroying forts,but also by “hugs” and agriculture,religious conversion of neutral areas,and so on

Bring in lesser races culture/religion in Wvw,make them playable there in a way they can influence Wvw preventing players to solely focus on killing,destroying and culling
So for example you could play a quaggan that has to spread his love and do tasks to please Mellagan and keep her shrine safe to win the neutral quaggans on the map to beat or even out the other server in score
(when in minority)
Players playing as a skritt have to collect shinies and find other skritt in the world to make it into something smarter,like a weapon that mass blinds and that they can offer it at a gate of a fort,they also can have some kind of disguise so they can
infiltrate a fort with tunnels or a shiny horse of troy-like thingy for example.
Hylek would hold provings to honor the sun where players will be set against each other in an arena that other wvw players cant influence(so you dont have the strenght in numbers)
(Heck why not even able to play as a risen in wvw with the ability to summon a minor dragon if zhaitan’s influence grows strong enough)

I could make a detailed idea of how each of these minor races would have influence on wvw and give players who enter wvw a total other way to gain terrain in wvw appart from killing invaders
But just so you get the idea.
This will prevent players from just running to the commander sign on the map and zerging together when they see the big “safe group” because they have an other choice, other than killing and destroying
(ok repairing walls and building rams and trebuchet is cool but also cause of the killing and with the goal to destroy)
And when a players enters wvw as a lesser race other servers can’t just kill them and be done with it,because they have to be on the same level and win the lesser races to their cause.
(for example on religious lvl/pleasing Mellagan,…,….)
If you gave other options except from killing invaders or taking forts,like introduce playing a lesser race in wvw that can’t be targeted directly by invaders
people will automatically split up in smaller groups in wvw,have more different things to do in wvw,will not grief so much if invaders camp in wvw puzzle(cause you just can do it as skritt or quaggan)
Like it is now in wvw the strenght is just in numbers,why not give players more choice: how they want to strive against other servers
At the moment the uber cool lesser races don’t get the credit they deserve either,so let them be an option to get credits in wvw,it also adds a hint of what guildwars 2 actually is to that area of the game

Also siege weapons like trebuchet could do like 5x damage when there are +25 invaders in its aoe circle,and way less when there are only 5 invaders in its target area
I love blowing up invaders from a wall but using it on big groups doesn’t feel satisfying enough imo..Also maybe its a bit bugged cause sometimes when i kill invaders using a siege engine it doesn’t add to my invaders killed(the kill invaders has always been a monthly achievement too so far,it would be a nice change if we had the option to “win x amount of quaggan tribes to your cause” as monthly achievement option or something)

I’d like to hear from other players annoyed by the strenght in numbers " in wvw and what they’d like to see different.Imo the big problem wvw has is that the focus is too much on just killing and destroying,thats also why everyone joins the big group" for more chance to achieve this and to feel “safer”.I believe other ways of striving against servers like with religious conversion will split these big groups into smaller groups and groups that prefer to do things other than killing.

with the first restriction i read in the newspost;EU servers only to guest on EU servers and US servers only able to guest on US server I am 100 procent for the idea to have a home server both on US an EU front. You see I’m in a guild that plays on a US server with which I used to play in guildwars 1 that I like very much and now I can’t play with them anymore cause my friends I know in real all play on EU..Well i’m from the EU but still bit dissapointed here that I just cant play with both

Do it for all the european players who loved to play on a US server in gw1
And all US players in gw1 who played on EU too ofcourse..
Its not like there will be extreme advantages in wvw to allow 1 home server on both EU an US I think.(maybe a restriction possible here to only aid one of the two fronts in 7 hours or when wvw resets or when neglectable differences in wvw domination on your EU and US home server)

Even more,it will restrict players less playing with the ones they like to play with(irl friends and ones from gw1) and you have higher chances people will switch one of the home servers on a front(US and EU) this way..Its a win win

I tried to get together with some US players on stormbluff,while i’m on EU piken square for the twilight dungeon Lvl 50 Caledon forest, story mode (full party,all lvl 80)
when they entered the join question appeared for me too but if I try t confirm I keep getting error 1006
I tried several times after that,running against the portal so the" join party" window reappears, but keep getting that 1006 error when I push the button to join.

I didn’t know that but it appears to be a" see all types or see none button" which wouldn’t help very much if you have a point to discover left that you cant find without consulting the wiki map.That is especially the problem;that you have to compare ingame and wiki map to find last undiscovered points.(which can take 15 mins or half an hour sometimes over here)I’m glad the option hide/show all these points is there but its not optimal yet imo

I do love guildwars 2 very much but if I’m completing maps it annoys me alot that I need to compare maps,switching constantly between gw2 wiki and the game map to find the last point;vista,point of interest,challenge
(Waypoints are not much of a problem)

I think if I count each time i’ve been doing that I lost alot of hours in my life.
And I tried to make a game out of it like “where is Waldo” but it just isnt fun.

Now I think it would be a win situation for everyone if we could hide one of the type of the points on a map anytime(a bit like with crafting where you can choose to only see the masterworks you can craft at higher crafting lvls)
So that you only see point of interest on the map or only challenges,or only vista’s on a map for example.

Or the option to hide/show all you’ve already visited on the map would be nice

Or that the point type you hover over on the world map lits up all those points on the map parts you’ve discovered/are currently on

influence management tab:overview of influence earned on all worlds

Hi there,I’m active in a guild with its home" on the server Stormbluff Isle.But I play on the EU server Piken Square. At their server they have around 19000 influence and on the server I play I’ve gathered around 560 influence for that same guild.

The problem is that the influence I earned on my server just sits there.Because I do not have the authority to buy upgrades within the guild.Neither can the one who has the authority do anything with the influence i earned on my server.So basically the influence earned on the other server(s) has no purpose atm for players without the authority to use them.

I do respect the reason I cannot purchase guild upgrades for the guild I play with,such things are best not managed by too many people either.So what I like to suggest is a new management tab for influence gathered on all servers,well a management tab+ a good overview of influence earned on all worlds for that guild,so no influence is frozen" and just sitting there on other servers.That way people with the authority can put every single influence earned on any world to use..
Alternatively maybe an option for guilds to claim influence from different servers.But there seems to be a logic why influence is server bound
