I understand the negatives definitely outweigh the positives. Possibly messing up your guild’s own mission for charity to pugs is a big one, and no committed guild member deserves to have to put up with that.

but on the other hand…

Truth is have only actually pugged with 2 or so guilds, but the reason i was, was because i was at the same time in the process of finding a new guild for myself. coincidence? While i was pugging i was also examining the guild, its leaders and its coordination, and each of its players personalities. It was a good experience, and overall both the guilds had good humor and were seemingly well structured.

even though i didn’t join either of the guilds i pugged for, i think it was a good source of positive publicity for each guild to let pugs into their missions. and its definitely a better way of getting more members than advertising on map chat.

Now i even have another problem because the small guild i decided to join only has guild bountys unlocked! haha

The idea of pugging guild missions isn’t a new one, but i was thinking that it doesn’t happen enough. Pugging guild missions, in my opinion, helps people get their daily rewards and it could possibly be a big help to smaller guilds who aren’t so strong with their guild missions.

I can imagine it could be a hassle from the guild’s perspective, but helping players get their personal rewards could be a good way for a guild to grow. Even big guilds who have puzzles unlocked could help out.

I’m not sure if you can get personal rewards with a guild who is in a different server than you by guesting on their server. i know the guild wont benefit from pugs who are guesting, but it would a a big help to some players still.

Would it be a good idea to have a specific forum where guilds who are willing to let pugs into their guilds list their server name and/or mission schedule?

i don’t want to be 1 out of the thousands of players who join a large guild for the purpose of being able to do guild puzzles and successful guild missions.

Does anyone have any input on this topic?
