So, you’re mad that you can’t “ug-smash” your way through a thief, because this game isn’t your previous games, and the Guardian’s defensive abilities aren’t those of tanks from your previous games? Mkay. Speaking as a Guardian, thieves can be difficult, especially if they stay at range and use conditions, but you are playing poorly if you repeatedly see them coming at you with pistols, let them unload on you without blocking, or let them stun you without using one of your multiple stun breakers (why aren’t you carrying at least one in pvp?). Use protection, use reflection, dodge, blind them repeatedly, immobilize them, chain-knock their kitten down with a hammer and signet, or use one of your several bubble skills to knock them down, back, or renewed focus to absorb their chain. They can get around these if they are smart, but you can make these things work, especially if you see them coming. If you don’t then you don’t have much right to complain since you said sneaky insta-gibbing is what they should be anyway. Pack more resilience in your gear choices, learn how Guardian defenses actually work, and stop airing out your misplaced frustrations in a public forum.
The legendary shield in the recently posted dev video looks really nifty, but I would be concerned about the constant Aegis effect for Guardians mucking it up. Does anyone have a pic of the shield with Aegis active? I would probably want a greatsword anyway, but I wanted to check on this first.
I’m not sure if this goes in the bugs section per se, but I had never encountered lag in the game prior to this last patch, and it is has been frequent enough since then for me to be unable to safely do any extended fighting. My client is also getting disconnected from the server now more frequently than during launch. Any light to shed?
If this one aspect of the game is comparatively that important for you, then yes, rolling a Warrior would probably be something you would enjoy.
I am concerned about how they wear armor. Heavy armors look pretty good on charr, but medium have always looked a little odd, with textures getting warped, or trenchcoats flaring out around the legs, for example. Could some of you charr engineers assuage my concerns by posting pics that don’t suffer from the mentioned problems, and show off charr engineers at their best looking?
Thanks in advance.
I’m pretty sure Freud wrote something about this.
Is the empty pet health bar an insufficient indicator?
I just bumped into that solution as well, Ninstox, and it cleared up my problems.
Same problem with the “buy” button being greyed out, and occasionally nothing loading at all in TP. Restarting client did nothing.
