I must say all this crap talking on the forums is getting out of hand and we all just need to move on. I am sure BG has figured out stacking is not making it anymore fun for them or other servers. Overall the fun factor in wvwvw has taken a dip. I hope one day we can balance the tier back to what it was during the first week of leagues. Even if that week wasn’t perfectly balanced, I still feel it was the most balanced Tier 1 has been since beta.

Do you know how many NA guilds, players and commanders that had to over extend themselves on BG into Ocx, SeA and EU timezones just to compete with both JQ and SoR?

We lost guilds covering all those TZ yet we never complained, we just got on with it and all guilds and players extended themselves outside their normal timezones in order to pull off a hard earned win.

Some EU players like myself had even transferred back to EU servers because we had so few people to play with during our normal timezones on BG.

I know people like to run off with themselves and say BG stacks but hand on heart, during SeA and EU timezones, there was never a queue on any BL or even EB. There were small EU and small SeA guilds here but never did we have anything on BG to compete with what SoR or JQ had, ever!

ZDs transferring here eased that a LOT but their move was completely unexpected, I’d only previously been playing alongside them on SFR the previous week myself before moving back to BG as I missed the community here.

Have the competition between our servers, but keep it fun, keep it free from trolling and the constant lying and flame baiting.

Yeah an Iron member transferred to BG and has been trolling map chat, tagging up and leading pugs to SoR zergs to die.
Iron leadership wouldn’t approve of same, hence he said he didn’t care about being kicked from their Guild.
Wasn’t even a lowly iron member, it’s an officer. How pathetic really.

As an iron officer we tried to do our best to stop forum trolling but you can`t tell individuals to stop . it`s a game and this game is full of childish people as in any game and besides it`s 2-3 regular posters as anyone should know the posts on here don’t represent the guild/server .

Having played on SoR myself at one stage and really enjoyed running alongside IRON groups there run by Lumar and Wrex in the past, your guild does garner respect from others and we actually do really enjoy fighting you guys in game, it’s all this PVF stuff that’s annoying people and brings a bad feeling toward your guild.

BG would like nothing more than to have at least 6 servers in NA having proper coverage to compete always, that includes ourselves.
We won’t ever get that unless all this stupid trolling is pushed aside.
For the best interests of the game and top NA servers competing with each other, keep the competitiveness for sure, but ease off on the trolling and childishness (from all, not singling out one guild or server here) and all servers in top NA league become more enticing for others.

This PVE stuff in WvW won’t last and BG will go back to having no queue in most timezones on every BL and EB. I’m sure that will eventually be the same for SoR and JQ maybe but that lack of queues in EU and SEA timezones is particularly enticing for EU based guilds.

I played on SFR EU also, the queues were hours and hours, it was pointless. I’d queue up at 1pm in order to eventually get in for 6 or 7pm, it was that bad at times.
I’m happy to stay queued on BG for 5 minutes during SeA or EU timezones here and even 1 hour or so for EB during NA prime – that’s nothing compared to what we had to put up with on top EU servers.

There’s no need to be completely and utterly friendly all the time, keep the competitive edge, just ease up on the trolling and nonsense as it’s one thing EU players have mentioned to me in the past that puts them off also. That and “tag watching” spies. Play fair, be nice, reap the benefits.

Honestly, a lot of players on BG have enormous respect for TC server for continually putting up fights and never giving up. Some of our own commanders have been spending a lot of time guesting on your server for PVE purposes and enjoying your community there a lot.
Actually if I remember right, one of our commanders accidentally tagged up under a TC RP guild last night he’d joined and had to explain himself (to great amusement) as to who and what exactly was ERP ?

We would love to see your server expand it’s coverage, it’s always enjoyable to fight your groups, even if they are rather large and outnumber us many times

What I find rather annoying about IRON PVF’ing on this forum though is that those here from IRON guild that do it, do not actually represent the guild well at all.
Both Wrex and Lumar from IRON are really nice, calm and friendly people, honourable in defeat and gracious when winning.
The few of you here from IRON continually being abusive, chest thumping for weeks on end and trolling all the time are doing more of a disservice to the guild you represent than anything else. Childish and immature.

I rarely even frequent the forums here apart from reading any updated patch notes.
We have our own guild and server forums which I prefer to put any effort in too.

The current score is a joke tbh, it should be TC up there as second not SOR. At least TC stand and fight and make an effort all the time. SoR’s excuse this week was to throw their toys out of the pram and not log in.
We actually feel sorry for your pugs who have had to carry your server this week after the big boasting SoR guilds threw hissy fits.

Big ego’s destroyed when your own PVD’ing timezone competition got some cover to put a stop to it.

On behalf of many, I’d like to at least say thank you to TC who continually made the effort throughout the whole week, win or lose they never acted like spoilt children refusing to login and continually running away.

If anything, if other Russian/EU guilds are thinking of transferring to NA to compete with ZDs on BG, consider TC as your server rather than SoR or JQ – TC have the mentality and willingness to fight and BG at least would love to see them up there competing with us week after week – they at least deserve the extra coverage to compete and have always been extremely good mannered and honorable in game, both in defeat and winning.

I’d love to see BG win the seasons and TC come second, both servers actually deserve it.

I thought SoR were “in it for the fights” and “don’t care about PPT” but yet IRON keep running away and avoiding ZDs and spend more time on the forums here PVF’ing.

You know well that BG were significantly outnumbered during SEA and EU timezones by both SoR and JQ, one single guild from Russia joining BG has changed that, one guild has destroyed all your own EU guilds, one. Not 4 or 5, not even 2 or 3, one new guild has IRON running with their tails between their legs.

How many guilds from Europe have SoR got in the last couple of weeks ? Was it not 2 new EU guilds absorbed into IRON for a start ?

Less QQ on the forums, get yourself in game and fight ZDs, they’ll more than welcome it if it’s fights you want. Unless it’s not and you prefer to keep running away from them and hiding behind the forums and other excuses…

TLDR; Less PVF, more WvW, stop the QQ, BG got one new EU guild, one.

Usual WvW players and whole guilds from BG can’t even get into BL’s or EB due to stupid broken queues and the sheer disgusting amount of pve players just sat in there for hours on end doing absolutely nothing.
…and I mean absolutely nothing, not even running runes, not going for or defending yaks, not scouting, nothing, they’re just standing there.
Was a whole stupid pve guild in Bravost last night 12 of them, just standing at a wall inside huddled up together for hours and when TC took Bravost, they all died, respawned and just sat there for hours huddled up together again doing nothing at all.

Time to create WvW only servers with just the WvW maps and a single LA type hang out zone. If you want PVE content you can guest on another PVE server.

Like others now, I can’t be bothered with WvW this week. Sooner the better all these pve players get their achievements and rotten jumping puzzles done.

It’s not you and there is another mesmer with a similar toon name to your own and people here have blamed the wrong person.

I play on BG but I have played on JQ in the past and I know this poster DJM.1450 (I’ve had him on my friends list for months) and seen him in action.
He is one of the best mesmers I have ever seen in regards hiding, portaling in people etc., He doesn’t nor has he ever hacked – he really is just very good.

There is another mesmer with a similar spelled in game character name and he DOES hack, he has been seen floating/flying through the air, up and over walls etc.,
BG had a similar mesmer at one stage recently a few weeks back and tons of people on BG reported him along with posting details in war council public notes for all to see and named the person to stay away from.

I would suggest people from JQ do the same, nobody benefits in the long run from taking advantage of others exploiting/hacking in WvW – it ruins the game for everyone.

So anyway, DJM, it’s not you that has been seen hacking, people have wrongly identified and wrongly blamed you because of the other hacking kitteners in-game character name.

Hi, my account is currently bugged somehow and not showing me as a member of a guild. I am not set as offline or anything like that.
Even trying to access my own personal guild I use for storage does not work.

Fun fights tonight in BG garrison! Mad props to Ons/KING/KnT/LP warriors for banner-ressing their lord at least 50 times.

It was a good fight, have to admit. Even being double teamed by both SoR and JQ, we still held out. Those SoR numbers though, omg how do you guys even move around with that amount in your groups, you must lag just running to get there nevermind when you’re inside.

The fight lasted ages, it was so intense that some of us were dying randomly up to 20 minutes after you’d all left the Garrison. People were just dropping like flies out in the open, we all thought there was a hacker under the ground killing us but it was just the server catching up. I think the lord also just dropped dead at one stage and had to be bannered, 15 minutes after Garrison was cleared.

Good luck with that on BG, only time we ever even get a chance to PVD is the last remaining 5% of a gate when calling scouts in – it’s just not gonna happen with JQ and SoR blobs on every timezone on every map and constantly double teaming BG.

I am talking about the different timezones on BG. Like I stated in the very first line, BlackGate – T1 NA and when I was giving the timezones I was stating the queues according to their local primetimes.

BlackGate is not just an NA server, yes it’s NA based (duh!) but it’s got a lot of international based guilds/players and it is absolutely required to cover the timezones mentioned.

BlackGate – T1 NA – mainly speaking local primetimes here

EU – No queues, like ever.

NA – No queues to a very rare possible 5 to 10 minutes during local NA peak.

OCX – No queues, or maybe a rare few minutes queue if NA based guilds extend over into OCX for coverage into OCX peak.

SEA – No queues to a very rare possible 5 minutes max during local SEA peak.

Reset nights (NA) are the of course different and you will find every map is queued but even then, it’s usually only for the first two hours after reset for maybe 20 mins max or so then it eases off to between 5 and 10 minutes max around three hours after reset. After that, the queues are gone.

EB is also the only real exception as a lot of unguilded or uplevels tend to go there more than the BL’s. Even then, the queues, if you experience one, are usually only for ten minutes at a maximum.

Last exception to all of this is if any floating group(s) are running and are called to give more coverage to a particular map – in this case it wouldn’t be unusual to be placed in a queue of maybe 5 to 15 minutes – again though, it’s rare it happens that you will get a queue at all even if the floating teams move in.

Lastly, trial weeks like the past week and continuing on for a few more days, we can find our BL’s/EB queued due to random trial accounts AFK at spawn or multiples of same hiding in the water. Such is life, nothing you can do about it but wait until the trials end.

Well considering BG got the Tequatl world first, I think we can safely lay that worry about PVE on BG to one side. Dunno where all that rubbish about T1’s not being good at PVE comes from either, just propaganda I guess from dead servers looking to fool others to join them maybe.

Although it’s also worth pointing out that Piken Square have multiple hour long queues on every WvW map during EU primetime – it’s multiple times worse than T1 NA servers during any timeslot (apart from SoR and JQ which have long queues – BG have no queues other than reset night and even then maybe a max of 20 minutes).

Indeed and the likes of Piken Square, with their high WvW focused guilds, could do very well out of it if they got some guilds form NA and SEA transferring over for free before leagues start.

…and unusually, Piken Square, currently ranked 2 in EU, possibly 1st next reset, is free to transfer too ? Huh ?

Any chance we could look at an option to determine server population for WvW only so people aren’t misled into joining a server filled with carebears – which PS EU is not, it’s one of the best for WvW and free to join. I don’t get it…

For those of you wanting off from the higher pop servers, it’s currently free to transfer to medium pop servers NA or EU.

Worth mentioning as I’ve not seen anything from Anet about it and a lot of the mid tier EU servers are only medium pop.

It’s honestly the only thing that lets down IRON as a guild, who are otherwise fairly skilled and whose leaders are rather nice to chat and deal with.

Couple things, first this posts show your class right there. Second I would like you to learn the facts before talking lol, that 15k lead was 14.5k before NA prime even hit. So just stop your embarrassing yourself.

Sorry yes, you’re right, JQ were leading BG by 14.5k points and not 10k, when BG then took that and turned it into a 15k lead during NA prime and well into SEA.

BG welcomes Waha and his ATM guild with open arms, respects and understand the pressure he’s been put under by JQ server with very little support.

If anything this week has shown us, the few ATM left fighting at the very least have continually fought us hard (it seems almost 24 hours a day), most of the time without Waha and most of the time severely under supported.

Come to us bro, you’ll get the support you need here and the players to back you up.
Man, JQ lost a 10k lead over BG in one night this week and let BG build a 15k lead on that very same night, in NA prime !
BG are now 30k up at the end of the week.
Leave that mess dude, come on over to BG where you’ll be properly appreciated and have support from multiple commanders in every BL and EB.

…and unlike JQ, nobody on BG will be bad mouthing you behind your back on TeamSpeak just because you wanted to take a break after they lost so much of a lead in one single night.

SG has flipped BG’s garri when JQ’s stacked TZ overwhelms BG’s, and most of BG are asleep, we also ran around facerubbing doors to make ourselves look really good so our SEA guilds wouldn’t quit the server

Drama before they’ve even fully transferred, the leadership get a personal ty of 15k gold between them and never told the members that went with them, on top of not sharing the initial full 30k now that we’re told they got that was to be fully shared among members to help with the costs of moving.

The German guild that moved recently were bought for a lot lot less…

Worth pointing out that quite a number of Merc did NOT agree to move to JQ and stayed on BG.

Safe to say all of them who stayed are also very well respected within the BG community. G’luck to those that left but fair play and much respect to those that didn’t take the big gold payments to leave…

Yeah I’ll transfer off in 23 hours when the timer is up. I think it is my best option at this stage. Was mulling it over as I will miss the guys in the EU guild I play with on the server a lot but such is life.

For what it’s worth mentioning, roughly 20 minutes after I logged in tonight (4am Irish time) and 15 minutes of that 20 being in a WvW queue, I get called a spy in public chat once again from one of the people responsible for the abuse which started the other day.
This time, I whispered the person with contextual information specifically for any ANET support staff as to why I was actually reporting him, then I reported him for abuse in game.

Logged out soon after, couldn’t be bothered…

Hi Gaile, thanks for the reply and yes my apologies in regards not understanding the system here in regards asking on the forums for support until a certain amount of days has passed. For me, in my timezone, it has actually been 3 days at this stage, regardless of the dates shown (I’m in Ireland) but as I said, I actually wasn’t aware of the norms in this regards.

I did report all of them in game at the time but your in game reporting system leaves a lot to be desired as I cannot give any context as to exactly why I am actually reporting someone. Apart from someone using swear words, if I report someone for saying “spy” and your support staff see that, I’m sure they’ll go “what the hell is that report for?”. However, there was and is a bigger picture behind it all, hence I had to make the support ticket to try and explain it and get some help.

It’s also hard to explain and give exact times but I would say that if there is a way for you to see my in game reporting of people tracked against the time I made the support ticket, it happened not long before I made that ticket. Yes I know that’s also not exactly spot on specific in regards exact times either :/

In regards me knowing one player was banned, 2 ways – one, I received more abuse from the person afterwards on TeamSpeak, up to and including telling me to “f off back to Europe” and calling me an “Irish n***** pig” (the N word used as a derogatory term toward black people – I’m actually not black either but regardless, it’s very offensive).
Secondly, the person posted in this support forum complaining they were banned, you replied to them and closed the thread and without naming and shaming the person here (though honestly I’ve no problem doing it but understand it’s usually against all MMO rules to name and shame on forums) you can look at my initial support ticket where I give his account name.number and check against the first page here on these forums to see who I’m talking about.

I still get abuse from people on the server, I can’t even log in to TeamSpeak now and I get abused. All of this, all of it, because someone who understandably cannot fully read/write/understand English because they’re from China, thought my character, who I’d actually only just logged into, was a spy because I had a similar sounding name to someone else who I presume actually was spying.

Another Chinese person, a well respected commander on the server took it upon himself to apologise to me afterwards and said he and some other Chinese commanders explained to the one who started the abuse and calling me a spy, that he was wrong, that he got my name wrong and that I was not a spy.
That was great, lovely chap. However the abuse still continued and still continues via the servers teamspeak from a small minority. As I said in the ticket, there’s nothing Anet can do about TeamSpeak abuse but those I reported in game were and are those that continued the abuse on teamspeak.

As an aside to this, Anet actually should improve the reporting system and give better options along with an ability to even write a line or two of some context.

^^ Ok Astral I get that thanks, however for me it’s been a couple of days (EU player, timestamps on tickets once made are timestamped hours previous) – however, regardless, the issue within the ticket and in general goes a little deeper. The ticket was also closed after my last reply on same.

I appreciate your input and others in helping general users here but in this case, can I kindly ask please that it’s left to Anet/Gaile to deal with as there are more specifics within the ticket itself that only she will be able to view and which give more depth to my request made here.

Firstly, support ticket for reference – 130919-001010

Very quickly, I don’t particularly want to discuss specifics in public of this particular support ticket (although I will do if absolutely required) – what I am kindly requesting though please is that you take the overall gist of my support request into consideration and abusive bullying more seriously in future, with a possible view to having such behaviour placed into the realms of being particularly frowned upon and indeed, against the general terms of service signed up too by players using Anet’s services/games.

It is not fair in any way whatsoever, that a minority of abusive bullies can unfairly call out, ostracise and continually abuse completely innocent players within your game and in this case, on one particular server.
So much so that players affected are then forced to transfer to another server (and the costs that go with that) in order to try and continue to enjoy a game they put a lot of effort into and generally, apart from incidents of this nature, get a lot of enjoyment back from the game itself.

I also don’t think your customer support take incidents of this nature seriously enough and the overall impact it can have on those affected and I’d kindly request please that you also consider a review of customer support best practices and show a little more empathy and understanding in any future incidents.
