Drop 10 in illusions for 10 in dueling and take empowering mantras, then replace the strength runes with scholar runes. Use perception stacking instead of bloodlust and swap duelist’s discipline for blade training. Possibly swap off-hand pistol for off-hand sword, though either is fine.

You were pretty close to the mark though, I know I’d be pretty hopeless at coming up with builds myself – I prefer to look at metas and understand why rather than create my own.

hm this looks way better than what i made though im wondering is phantasmal haste not worth it?and i switched my healing to go with the new trait but im wondering if i should give up on might stacking and switch out to sigils of force and is SOI worth keeping on or is there something else more effective

P.Haste is not worth it due to being all sorts of bugged. It doesn’t work with the swordsman, doesn’t work with the zerker, doesn’t work with the warden. It only works with the duelist and warlock.

That sucks…..i’ve been using it this whole time and didn’t know..anyway thanks for helping me shape up the build guess ill go with sigil of force and keep Soi for buffs my teammates give me.Thanks for responding

Wondering if everything looks ok plannig on doing dungeons and fractals.Basically the plan is stacking might with weapons and skills then spreading it around with Soi while also having reflects to back up team mates.Is there anything i need to change around?

So in general, mesmers just aren’t very good at might stacking by themselves. SoI is very potent at capping out stacks, but it’s better at doing that with stacks that someone else gave you. You have to sacrifice too much of your damage and utility to really get anywhere close to decent might stacking, so I’d probably steer clear of that sort of concept.

alright guess ill give up on might stacking sounded fun in my head but when i got to making the build started doubting if i could keep it up without GS or something

Yea. It makes sense. Absolutely: while bleeding you lose weight. 1 kg for every liter of blood more o less. So it’s normal if you run faster: you’ve dropped luggage.
Yay! Now we can finally troll world bosses as the other classes… till next patch. Where blood is power will be replaced by something else… I dunno, maybe a mark of summoning. 60 sec cd, half bone minion at a time.

It sucks completely even in MM build cause chances are as a necro with light armor no way to be immune to damage and ds already melts unless traited you never want to be hit.Who really looked at this and said yeh this well help necros!id love to hear there reasoning i could be wrong.

Basically from what everyone else has already stated yeah no desirable fields,no decent aoe,traits need reworking,there not horrible at single target dps but there not great at it either.Ive tryed and tryed to get a decent build going and all i really felt comfortable with is a power mancer build that said they can work its just no where near as efficient as other classes that do our job such as condition removal,boon removal,vul stacking and offer other great assets to a team.Im having trouble understanding why they made the class this way if the pve content seems to work against us.Finally after playing necro since the start made a warrior and realized how much potential and fun this game could be.From getting max vul with just axe/mace skills to good dps and banners ive never felt so useful before.

Why 2 sec?it was a guard against focus fire and its integrated into death shroud which you said you wanted us to use?basically unless the person is reallllllyyy bad any average joe lets say warrior/mesmer cause i swear that’s all i see will take two steps back laugh and run up and fall asleep on keyboard.Can we atleast make a trade, a bargain, a plea for love of god switch this trait with reapers protection in death magic.That trait sounds so useful but i would have to give up so much crit/critdmg/dmg to go down that line.

Any expert necros wanna give some feedback?bascially i can cleanse pretty well with plague signet/consumeC if vs a condi heavy player,convert any boons on the target after he tries to get rid of the ones i throw at him with corrupt boon,and signet of spite for icing on the cake.The traits are set up to compliment the weapons and signets with the runes in the armor increasing the might duration and adding extra 5% dmg under might which shouldnt be hard to abuse with signet mastery giving might and decreasing the recharge every time you pop one.

My main goal for this build was to somehow get axe 2 to get a good amount of hits in without the enemy dodging all over the place.I started out with axe/focus but that didnt end will so i moved on the axe/WH with flesh golem.Why flesh golem?1. Extra dmg and cripple which can help me kite a bit with axe. 2.charge with the knockback is perfect for me to get axe2 off.After i see atleast 1 dodge i throw out wail of doom to get a daze and charge with my golem, if he dodges the golem i get a free axe2 off and if he takes the hit i get some axe hits off and go into DS bombing with standard life transfer/tainted shackles and either dark path if i see him stop strafing and just turn around to run or doom if he tries to go on the offensive.Any aoe he throws out that give me status ill throw right back at him or consume for hp if im low.

I tried to get a good balance of stats not to low so i dont get auto bursted to death but good crit chance and damage to make the low hp and def worth it.I might try to change it around if i find all that crit damage isn’t needed in favor of more hp/def cause if i cant stay alive long enough whats the point.The only thing that bothers me is the 2nd weapon i was thinking dag/dag for another cc from dag 3 which would give me another chance to lock the enemy down and taking the 5%dmg rune off for a rune sigil of battle on one weapon of each set for a guaranteed activation of superior rune of strength which give 5% dmg anyway everytime i switch but settled for staff with its aoe marks to defend against some invisi happy mesmers/thiefs and build up life force for Ds each time there activated giving me a third time in Ds if i activate enough.Basically whats the sweet spot i should be aiming for with crit damage and power to get some more hp/def to survive and the best setup of armor to achieve this.

Did you guys even read it?he actually gave some good advice.I wish the devs made the bosses a bit more interesting such as it starts out where only melee can hurt it then it enters a phase where they cant be hit anymore you gotta use cannons or something to knock off shields, after a bit the other players way across the map had to hit some sort of switch or something to make sure it stays off then even when its off then you can resume hitting for a bit untill they come back up then he switches to range damage can only affect him so everyone whos melee could switch to buffing or something making melee ranged and buffing all in one usefull.Lets go even further and add a timer so teamwork would have to be tight between the zerg.Now thats a boss fight as of right now i sit here click my auto attack button and sometimes dodge.Not a bad fight but boring yes.
