Edit: Engineer is far from slow paced but you have focus on your profession skills as well as your weapon skills, people seem to think it’s an spam attack class because the main attack is the one used mostly (cause that’s the only thing without cooldown and the other stuff isn’t made for dmg) but they don’t think about the CC or the boon/condition control etc.

- It is slow paced compared to other proffesions.
- It is supportive due to the control.

I can only compare to guardian but can’t say it’s any more slow paced than that and while I can see Thief might for ex. be a bit more intense (in some situations) I think it comes down to your play style more than the profession, every profession is slow paced if you hang back and just do support.
As for support, true that Engineer has good support skills, but that doesn’t mean the class is a pure support class, this as well comes down to play style.
There are three “roles” in GW2
*Damage
*Support
*Control
just like DCUO
An engineer with dmg and crit traits does good dmg, an engineer with healing and boon traits is nice support and for ex. turret traits can be used for control and so on.

This goes for guardian as well and my guess is all the other professions as well, boxing them in to one role only hampers your ability to use the class to its full potential.

Still in my opinion engineers exceels at support and control more than dealing damage. I take control as support for some reason, don’t judge meh.

I’ll tell you based on my knowledge and from a PvP prospective mostly, as I only level with a thief at this moment.

I feel like thieves are where they belong, having lots of utility and can do a big burst if you get your opener straight. They lack resiliance although if you go with the sword/pistol build you’ll get more utility and vitality that you’ll ever need – for a decent amount of damage reduction.

From what I’ve experienced with the Warrior class, it has alot of variety and is very flexible for different playstyles. To me they are a * to fight against since they have alot of vitality and can tear you up in a matter of seconds along with disabling you if they chain it right. I didn’t really get to play as one enough to give you my full personal opinion about them but warriors are looking very good for an aggresive type of player.

Engineering is definitly a proffesion you should look into more if you say you’re looking for a slow pace playstyle. It does require alot of focus and experience to do things right with an engineer but it’s definitly rewarding! Although you’ve mentioned you don’t like supporting and thats what engineers do best in my opinion.

PvE wise I think thieves are the sneaky assasins that need to abuse their stealth in order to maximize their potential, Warriors should be in the frontlines and spank the mobs hard and Engineers are more supportive in a way, dealing less damage compared to most proffesions but having the utilty to boost other’s damage.

Wish you best of luck with your choices :).
And remember, you can always re-roll.

Umm yeah I’ve done something silly… I changed my password.
I usually never do that and I have one password for everything, thing is I’ve been alerted for so many hackers and such It felt like a must.
So I changed both my email and password to make it a lil’ unique, and right after the reset it said the pw is wrong. So I tried to reset my pw and for some reason It’s unavailable…
I’m in a sticky situation here and I’m afraid I screwed up big time here (I tried to change my email again aswell ><)

I’d appriciate for any kind of support ASAP. Thanks.

Hey guys I just bought the game yesterday and I’m too scared to make the wrong choice.
I live in Israel so the European servers are definitly going to be my choice to reduce latency. I prefer a high populated server though my cousin always complains on the Overflows … Since I havn’t played yet I don’t know what that really means but I’m into playing around a decent amount of english speaking people with enough people for WvW Pvp.. so which server is best for me?
Thanks in advance.
