yes she did everything related to the story and beyond. i was with her through every achievement. i got the letter upon logging in to lions arch after the patch downloaded, and she just didn’t.

Yes, as I said she’s done all of the other available story achievements, effigy included.

My friend never received the letter about Majory. She tried clearing out her inbox, relogged the client, exit/reenter Lion’s Arch. She even went to the bar and went through the cutscene to see if anything would happen. But she still got no letter and the bar instance had no NPC’s other than bar patrons.

She has completed the previous story achievements, as well as meeting the councilors…what is up with this? Shouldn’t she have received the letter and be able to proceed with the living story like everyone else? Any help is appreciated.

I waited 5 minutes for a hologram projector to activate, by myself, but I was nice enough to not activate it until the 10 people from the nearby waypoint had gotten close enough.

I activated it, only to be pushed back, and everything died before I got to lay a finger.

This is stupid. No good deed goes unpunished, yeah?

I am Chinese and Guild Wars Factions was my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE campaign, mostly because CANTHA IS AMAZING.

Not many creative/entertainment entities have reinterpreted East Asian aesthetics as wonderfully as Anet did for Factions. Even my first generation mother loved it!!! GW2 NEEDS to see Cantha! =(

What I’d give to see Mount Qinkai in GW2!!!!!!! (Assuming it stays jaw-dropping beautiful) along with everything else!

I’ve been cursed at in AC for not knowing using Ice Bow was a thing. I was really stunned. And it was partly due to the fact I couldn’t remember when was the last time I’ve dealt with such person in GW, and I ’ve been playing the game for all 7 years.

I recently tried playing Leage of Legends. Very first game I played with other people, I was insulted, patronized, and yelled at. Gave that up. I used to play Maplestory for a little bit. I remember running into alot of kittens with superiority complexes. Not worth it. Then there is World of Warcraft. Never really played it, but I bet we’ve all heard of the horror stories, haha.

Point is, I think we should be very grateful we have such a mild community in a game as dynamic as GW2. One of the major reasons Guild Wars 1/2 is the one online game I kept going back to is because of the harmless community. No drama. Just chill.

So I’m curious about the present and future changes in Orr.
I haven’t gotten a chance to spend much time in Orr since the Flame/Frost update because I’ve been too busy frantically hopping around Wayfarer/Diessa anddd I’ve wasted enough silver on waypoints.

1) I know about the Lost Orrian Jewelry Boxes. Lol all I ever get are obsidian shards and unidentifiable objects. Any idea what the object is about? Do you guys just sell it? Or do you think it will become something of value?

2) Somewhere on these forums, a dev confirmed that there are two new waypoints in Orr. I can’t seem to find that thread again. Anyone have been there? Want to share where they are/ are they worth visiting/ anything of interest there?

3) Visual changes in Orr? I had guildmates comment that Orr, the sky in particularly, looks less “greasy”. Foh real? Anyone have observations on that? I’ve always really wanted to see some kind of indication of the cleansing of Orr.

Not sure how that would work. It’s just that Trahearne nonstops gushes about how awesome Orr was in its heyday, and it’d suck if Orr stays puke yellow for the rest of eternity. It’s too bad that alot of the most awesome/rewarding event chains in the game take place somewhere so nauseatingly ugly and plain.

Any other changes in Orr?

If I must throw in my argument here, I personally disagree with people complaining that he “takes all of your credit”. Maybe it’s just my bias, but what comes to my mind are the numerous moments Trahearne thanks you for your partnership (I even have screenshots of that in my silly blog) And the moments when people of importance such as Caithe and the rest of the Destiny’s Edge thank ME- yes, me, me, me, not Trahearne, for making wonders happen.

I can understand if you dislike Trahearne if your personal tastes don’t agree with his personality or voice, or if you but disapprove of Anet’s writing, but I don’t think I can truly understand the passionate hatred around him for the mostly emotionally driven reasons people have..ah well… And his “uselessness” in combat I find hard to believe to be enough reason. After all, I’ve yet to meet a NPC that makes wonders on his/her own. 1) I don’t think there’d be a point in the game if there were NPCs like that 2) If people have, come on, where’s the adoration?

I’ve looked at galleries for every single armor set currently in existence and I can’t help but be disappointed…

Yes, there is some nice armor, but in my opinion, the armor in GW1 was much MUCH more attractive and creative, from level 1 to everything beyond. For the most part, no matter what level or what kind of player you were, everyone was a stylish hottie left to right. At the same time, you can still distinguish what the elite sets are. There was alot of room for mixing and matching and still looking beautiful. Whoever designed the armor in GW1 was just really good

Unfortunately, I just don’t find this the case in GW2. I’m glad to see I’m not the only one! I find much of the armor awkward/unflattering/uninspiring. Unlike GW1, there isn’t much armor I’d want to save up for, because I literally don’t want it, lol.

Again, it’s not completely tragic. I got kind of lucky with my ele and came up with this mix of the exotic Mhenlo coat, conjurer pants, and the cabalist hood. I’m happy say I think she looks gorgeous ^^

My point still stands though. We totally have an over-saturation of visually unappealing and repetitive armor, and I hope Anet steps up the fashion game in future expansions…after all, you guys did a FANTASTIC job in GW1 and all 3 expansions….

i didn’t get squat from this event =/ why should we toil over killing the same monsters that dont give ANY loot OR exp or anything remotely interesting??
they can take lions arch for all i care
