I don’t care how easy to get it is. What matters is this:
- Everything I might be tempted to farm today will be obsolete soon.
If they keep the pace with 1-2 items a quarter it will take a year for an upgrade,
even if there will be one new piece every month its a non-issue, get real.More imporantly, thanks to the no-info communication by the publisher, we don’t know if I get a sword now if it’s replaced in a year or in two months.

- Whenever the gear comes and however easy it may be to get, I’ll have to spend 9 fine transmutation stones on it because I actually like the look of my exotics. I picked them for the look. That’s 6 pieces of armor, a two-handed weapon, a ranged weapon and one of the water-weapons (don’t care about the look of the other). That’s cash being forced from my wallet even if the gear comes for free in the mail.
or you could just buy the gems with ingame gold, like most people do. Spending cash in a game like that is madness.
Need path 2 for my dungeon master title, so if anyone wants a well geared experienced guardian in a EU group for path 2 give me a shout and i’ll go, and stick it through till the end

So the only thing that will change for each path is a new boss every second difficulty tier.
The way i see it is each path has a spot for ‘Encounter X’, every second tier ‘Encounter X’ is something different.

You seem to miss the point. The majority of people are upset because we were promised no gear treadmill at several points of the game’s development and it would be all about skins, nothing more. I’d love the addition of a really hard dungeon we have enough easy ones already. This agony condition is the first dungeon in game that introduces specific gear requirements. There is no extra skill needed from the addition of this specific mechanic, just more gear.
First, there’s no gear threadmill to experience the dungeon, all paths will be doable with normal gear. So its not required.
The gear will only be for the people who want to run it multiple times to unlock the more difficult tiers, which will still be the same dungeon, just harder. And when you reach that tier you’ll already have the gear, so no grind.
The ascended gear will be needed to deal with a mechanic being introduced, but thats not going to be all thats needed, The fights will be still mainly skill based and will be significantly more difficult than the lower tiers of the dungeon, its not as if the ascended gear will nullify the increasing difficulty.
TLDR: You wont need it to see the whole dungeon.
For all we know the ascended gear was the last tier of the power plateau that they had in mind when creating the game. They never said exotics were the last tier.
Atm the only ascended pieces being introduced are rings and a back piece.
Also, the main reason people get dungeon gear is for the skins, not the stats, at least thats how it is for me. Exotic gear is already easy to get outside dungeons, but people still do them. Most people doing dungeons have full exotic gear, but they still run them.
Its not going to change anything.
Dungeons are for fun first, gear second.

I dont see the point in more than one of these guilds
My view of dungeon builds is that each player should be able to take care of themselves in every encounter, be able to take a few hits and not need to be ressed multiple times, Be able to do decent damage, but also be able to contribute more than just damage to a fight.
From what i’ve seen pure support builds aren’t great, you need a group thats able to take advantage of it and that can make up for the loss of damage.
There’s always a middle ground, go for that.
As far as i’m aware mesmers have decent damage phantasm builds that supply regen and protection to their party, have good utilities for clearing conditions and reflecting damage.
Long story short, i find pure support and glass cannons a wasted spot, find some balance.
I think it would be nice for the Guardian community to contribute to putting a list together to catalogue the abilities that can be reflected in dungeons by our wall of reflect ability and how much damage we can do with them. I’ll throw a few in from the top of my head to get it started.
Caudicus Manor.
1 – Riflemen – All their abilities can be reflected for minor damage.
2 – Bombers – minor damage reflected from basic attacks, Their bomb cluster can be reflected for a nice ammount.
3 – Enforcers/Gunners/Scatter shot’s – Very nice damage reflected from these, Their charged shot takes off 10% of their hp when reflected.
Twilight Arbor.
1- Spider boss – Her spread shot ability reflects for about 60k damage.
There’s no letter sent out for any of the explorable dungeons. They’re part of the dungeon story modes.
The dungeon’s fine, stop nit picking.
Its just that i can see there being new problems finishing a dungeon that hasn’t been publicly tested, stuff blocking progress. I know they test it but there’s stuff that inside testing misses.
Like the majority of dungeon lovers out there i only need some Arah exp paths for my Dungeon master title.
We all know Arenanet are adding a new dungeon that gets progressively harder as you go on with the lost shores content, i’m predicting that they’ll introduce something extremely difficult and gauge people’s response, which is fine, hard is good.
I’m just wondering if this dungeon will be added to the Dungeon master title?
As i’m expecting a fix to the Arah bugs with the next major patch i’d like to know if i’ll be able to get it then or if i’ll have to run the new dungeon also.

Predicting a flood of people with dungeon master when these gates and path bugs eventually get fixed
Cleared all 3 paths every day for the last week or so, No exploits, no bugs used, No special skips used.
Average time for a full 3 path clear is a hour.

Remember when setting up groups that US players and EU players cant enter the same instance.
Also, i’m not sure if every member can edit the guild message, If they can it might be a idea to put the servers that currently have the gate working on them to help when forming groups.
Arah is bugged on most servers.
The concensus is that it would be better to not be bugged.
You got in before when it was bugged because one of the party members logged out behind the gate when it wasn’t bugged and they’re using that char to get groups in, There’s nothing wrong with that as its not exactly exploiting anything.
Get a better connection.. if you’re using wireless try get a cable.

the problem is that im doing dungegons for skins. And Kinda if i can’t make the last boss i can forget about skin for TOKENS..

People have to realise, they play Arenanet’s game, Arenanet dont work for you. I hope they keep doing what they’re doing and dont buckle to the ‘gimme free stuff’ crowd, because its great atm, though still easy.
Absolutely, your damage is boosted by 20% because of the reduction. A single stack or even two from EM won’t equal it.

All you get with 2h mastery is a extra MB every 2 auto chains.
With empowering might it its, auto,auto,auto – MB – auto,auto,auto – auto,auto,auto – MB.. ect… with it, its auto,auto,auto – MB – auto,auto,auto -MB- auto,auto,auto – MB. it’ll boost your dps slightly, but the group wont be getting the might stacks so i think your overall group dps will be lower.
Its not a extra free attack either when you have it, as it still takes time to use.
Full armor 1380 / 60 = 23 runs / 3 = 8 days
Main hand 300 / 60 = 5 runs / 3 = 2 days
Off Hand 210 / 60 = 4 runs / 3 = 2 days
2 Handed 390 / 60 = 7 runs / 3 = 3 daysSeriously if you think it should be able to get a FULL SET in less then 8 days of 2h-4h hours of dungeons a day, change game or hire someone to play for you.
That is not Accurate at all, short bows are still 390 the same as long bows Why?
I agree with the OP these rewards need to be raised, for the work you must do in the dungeons, plus it is work and its far from fun.
Why wouldn’t shortbows cost the same as longbows?, they’re both 2h range weapons.
And if you dont think its fun, then dont do it.
Since all exotic gear is the same, you dont have to do dungeons for it.
I’d be up for some runs if you’re on a EU server, playing a shout support warrior with condition removal/shout heals and surprisingly high dps
Pirate set with a eyepatch for medium and a divers outfit for heavy.. light armor gets like, fish nets or something
It is certainly not very fun to spend several days trying to learn to clear an exp path with a static group of guild mates
I woulda thought that this was intended, it works this way with other games and raids, you cant just expect to roll content you dont know straight away.

They also get the experience in the encounter that their time investment has given them
There are other games where its expected that groups who are gearing themselves up for full dungeon clears will indeed repeatedly farm the first one or two bosses to slowly bootstrap themselves into the gear level required to tackle the harder bosses further in the dungeon.
There are, this isn’t one of them.

Fully geared warrior here, cleared every exp path except arah. Up for whatever always.

EU timezone and can go with either engineer or warrior, though the warrior’s got full exotics.
I’d be willing to join for the Arah runs, already finished Hotw.
I think Arah may still be a bit bugged though, but if its not and you want a good high dps support shout war let me know. got voice coms too

Mesmers are fine in PvP still. My phantasm’s have a 16 sec cd with traits, there’s nothing wrong with that
Am sry, but 1 hour+ for 1 run is BRUTALLL. Anet should reduce the difficulty of Arah down. 1hour+ run is just dumb…..

I play in melee on my warrior in explorables 80% of the time. I also dodge alot, this is intended and i like it, there are traits that increase your damage when your endurance isnt full.
When i started this game i thought melee was squishy and all that. Now that i know what i’m doing i think melee is fine.
If someone wants to do the dungeon properly or doesn’t like to bug mobs you should oblige them. Dungeons are about the challenge, if the mobs are proving a challenge then brilliant, more fun to be had.
And yes i know the dog packs, and yes we kill them and the first husk every time.
Ok, not sure if this problem affects anyone else but i find it a minor problem.
I’m doing dungeons for the completion achievements, leading up to the dungeon master title.
I try run each path only once as i have no interest in any of the dungeon gear and i’ve already reached the power plateau.
Now i dont do the dungeons or paths in any particular order, i just join any guild groups/pugs or make my own as i go along. I’ve done all the dungeons at least one path and about 4 of them are completed on all paths, but the others.
I have no idea which paths are completed and which aren’t, its making it awkward to finish my achievement.
I coulda sworn that i had finished CM but it says 3/4 and some others are the same.
has anyone else come across this problem and would like the dungeons tracked in the achievement tab?
Can you post your gear? Without and precisions I’m @ 35% crit and I kinda want to call BS on how high you can hit with your burst. Also how are you tanky if you didn’t put any points into toughness?
3 exotic knights armor, 3 exotic berserkers armor. 5 exotic ruby trinkets, rare guild exotic backpack with exotic ruby jewel, 2 exotic berserkers axes.
I also use that 100 precision and 10% crit damage food sometimes.

I find this stuff very annoying. I wanna do dungeons properly, not bugging mobs or taking advantage of issues with mob ai to get ahead.
