So I was 1v1ing today and he was getting really frustrated. My health was not dropping at all. He started emoting all these stomps and sads and mads and jumped up and down. I could almost guarantee he was about to punch his computer in its virtual face. After about 10 minutes of this I said “ok this is ridiculous” and came out of the tower.
IoJ is in a rut atm… we spend more time defending what we have than capping things in eb (even then sometimes our zerg is just too small to do anything). I mean we kind of have to, there are lone periods of time where we just dont have commanders on.
Yeah. WvW can be fun, but not when Anet throws you against two big zerg servers. Opponents near our WvW pop levels for equitable fights would make it a hell of a lot more fun.

Now I don’t like spawn camping with 2 Omegas firing at your door but why on earth would you have a group of that size making no score for you for a long period of time. Maybe you need to relook at your priorities and communicate with each other.

Yak’s and Ebay haven’t attacked each other than the token camp/free tower.
you get the points, but you needed an alliance to do it, you both know who will win 1v1 when these leagues are over and you can’t get an alliance.

Yeah, Ebay and Yak’s Bend got together on Two Taquito’s Tuesday and shared some great food and strategy.
I hope YB and EB keep pounding on BP. Its really dropped A LOT of the kittening terrible PVE scum that have thought it a good idea to come into wvw. Reset was nearly unplayable with the lag and terrible pugs trying to follow people around who had no want or need for them. In my opinion you guys are doing us a big favor.

1. “Postee” is not a word. It’s not even a wrongly used word.
2. You used capitulate(an archaic word to begin with and no less than 3 times in quick succession) when you actually mean concede.
3. +/- ratio of 10 is not a statistic.
4. Even if I “capitulate” that your intended use of ratio was a grammatical error(there’s nothing grammatically wrong about it, just your intended use), by saying +/- 10 your actually contradicting your original point as it simply means that they beat your group of 10 with 1 person, 20 people or everything in between.

So by your calculations, assuming we have 10 people on the map, we will win if YB has equal to or greater than 100 people or equal to or less than 1 person (no YB on the map yields a YB victory). You may want to rephrase, check your definition of ratios, or just stop talking. The last one will probably benefit you the most.

And if you look at what tier those servers are they have every right to complain about it. BP has equal numbers, just worse night coverage.

I was just posting a rebuttal to someone stating that BP is the only one who ever complained ever in the history of the world of modern online gaming. I have been conducting black ops in WvW before half of YB was just a dusty box on the shelf of Best Buy. I am used to being overwhelmed. Does that make you giddy?

I love how it’s always BP crying about our numbers and not Ebay. The only time we have more people in WvW than BP is really early in the morning east coast time. We just have commanders that can manage all 4 maps much much better.

Well, so far this week has really blown for people who run in small groups or solo. Not everyone enjoys zerg running, but now I see exactly what I have to look forward to in silver league.
I would have to respectfully disagree. From EB there’s AD, BSty and us in EV running around (as well as many more I’m sure). From the other servers I have seen plenty of roamers, some better than others.
This has definitely been one of the most enjoyable weeks for me as of late apart from the massive skill lag on reset night.
I agree. I have encountered small EB groups and I appreciate the battles. Unlike other servers who will remain nameless that swarm me with eleventy thousand.
…Impossible for actual wvwers to play the game mode they love. 3-5 hour queues because achievement hounds have flooded the maps. No real fighting force can even play in wvw now. It is just a mess and if you wanted rewards to be tied to wvw you SHOULD HAVE MADE BADGES ACTUALLY DO SOMETHING USEFUL.
Just do what I do. Set up a superior AC in a strategic spot in the closest tower to the blob and collect the bags. Most of the people coming at you are PVE carebears and have no idea what that red circle is on the ground, and by the time they notice their glass build has them dead in 3.2 seconds.
seriously? 15mins ago, our 9 men was just doing havoc at YB’s ruins and capping some towers since we got attention at ruins… and guess what..

Hey everyone link the rules of WvW! We certainly can’t have anyone breaking the “how to play WvW properly” rules!
Looks to me like he has about 4 maybe 5 guys. Was it really necessary for like 30 Zergsbend to take it? Skill says no, league WvW says yes.
It always amuses me when people make posts calling other servers zergers, and QQing when they get zerged. Every server has zergs, someone more often than others, but it is the nature of the game. If I posted a picture everytime I ran into a zerg while solo roaming, this thread would be at 10 pages by now.
You know what really is amusing? People from servers who used to run at the sight of the “condi cheese necro” come to other people’s matchup forums and crygasming all over it. Listen, get some skill, go gather a few people and take out those 4-5 people attacking your tower. Stop getting into the mindless, “we must assimilate more into our Borg collective” mindset that is plaguing every server- including our own.
Because I know WvW was a poorly thought through concept ages ago of some ANET developer on a Redbull high who recently rage quit a 4 hour Alterac Valley marathon, that still doesn’t mean that we as players can’t better ourselves and not conform to society’s standards.
IOJ I do wish you all luck in this. I was really hoping I had found a home when coming to IOJ, and my leaving was not easy, and well before the “rest”
Mend seems to have a history with SIC. It’s nothing personal with IOJ. I too can’t wait to Spike Karn/Mend (all in good fun buddy).
Core on the other hand, I will be thinking of IOJ with each spike I put through a Core member.
The best matchups, fights, competition, etc will be found here. That is a Victory in my mind, for all servers. All of Silver League (maybe not NSP) is going to have fun.

I don’t think SIC staked a single one of us. All of our encounters were edited out of your sick 1337 dubstep video. I don’t expect that to change the next time our paths cross. SIC feeds on pug zergs. They’re not that hard to wipe, no need to add some sick wubwub music to make it look cooler than it is. Really though, all the other SIC tags are just speed bumps on our way to the good brother Alaric.

@ every one from BP … don’t sweat last nights scores. Especially you guys who just recently joined us. It’s all an illusion. Especially if you know anything abut YB and how they’ve always hidden behind 2v1 setups. We’ve got guilds who specialize in 1v2’s and last night we saw just how bad YB’s response time is b/c of that playstyle. This goes double for EB people… if they’re smart, and wanna come in anything but 3rd place this week, they’ll take EVERY chance they can get to back-cap everything they can off YB instead of squandering the entire weekend trying to marginalize Borskill.
We only ran into issues with YB when they outnumbered us 3:1. I blame the poor skill on PVE’ers jumping the achievement bandwagon, because I know YB has some skill, at least when we fought them in the past.

That was me, I was attempting to establish peaceful relations to determine your intentions. Once a BP mesmer attempted to yank me off the tower, I realized “……..they’re not here to sell us cookies”. Disbelief and panic spread through Lake like an IoJ exodus…..we were so sure it was cookies.
BP I hope you guys get off karma train mentality by reset tomorrow. 25 of us in garri held back 50+ of you AFTER siege was destroyed for quite a while. Only after out tanks went down after a poor push I’ll admit on our part, did you get in— 5 minutes after.
On other notes good fights tonight HK and all that were with them at hills and water camp.
Apologies to the SIC engi I killed earlier 1v1 on my level 13 necro.
Poor showing by some db guilds emote spamming after they killed me 5v1 on my up level. Sad to see such great guilds and such poor ones on the same server.
Over all great week. Mend had fun fighting everyone whether we won or lost. Good luck to everyone in the leagues. Look forward to fighting you all soon!!

Nah. I was growing frustrated and really considering transferring to a bronze server because I was tired of sitting in a tower against blobs. (Almost went with PPK). Long story short, a friend convinced me to come over to BP (it was with a heavy heart though, I really enjoyed my time on IOJ- and frankly I will probably still be sitting in a tower against blobs) but in the end, the frustration was too much to overcome. Plus SIC needed me to be their PR guy, so I am having business cards made up with me in a little bo peep costume, and I will be passing them out once leagues start. Plus Alaric needed a warm hug, and I plan on doing just that once this rash clears up.
EDIT: and I was serious about MEND. I have mad respect for you guys- even Karn . And I won’t really miss you guys at April Rhain because I still plan on being at the PVE events – if they will allow me.

More roamers please. I know the karma train takes low IQ but i’m sure a few of you can mentally push yourselves. Step outside your zerg and feel how open the world is without all those people

Looks like PVE patch is once again super effective against IOJ. 3 of us to defend our fully fortified bay with a wp. There’s karma trains and there’s being obnoxious. When you own every structure on a bl, you let us reflip it so you can flip it back… not stay there and kill us when we try to flip anything. Especially when no one can stay connected on your own bl to have any real hope of retaliation…
At this point forget ppt and upgrading. We’ll just be hunting zergs/guild groups to fight. Enjoy the rest of the matchup.
Hey Doc, don’t forget the infamous “Tower hug against 2 of us” routine.
No one said we didn’t have people, we just lost WvW oriented guilds and our WvW population overall decreased during NA prime. We still have NNK, TFV and some other SEA guilds that come out to fight with good numbers.
I believe the match-up would be quite different if BPBL didn’t had that connectivity issues. It’s just sad that no one can do kitten there because of lag and dc’s.
It happens to us too so that’s not really an excuse.
Actually I think it’s a very valid excuse. You guys already own the map (and the points contained therein). Basically that BL is now free points for you guys.
