Nice video, but have you tested it against D/D elementalists?

Your targets look like easy kill hehehe. But yea it is nice to see people are getting to see that greatsword with ranger is not that bad!

Well we have a trait that gives us stealth if
Hide in Plain Sight-> Applies camouflage when you are dazed, knocked down, launched, pushed back, or stunned. This effect cannot trigger more than once every 30 seconds.
3 Seconds of stealth.

But perhaps.. when i get back from my study i will try something with the jaguar now that you mention they use it.
The wolf got the knock down skill and it usually work right away when you change to wolf-> Brutal Charge Leap at your foe and knock them down.
Or else the whole thing sounds very mysterious

Signet of Stone, pick a tanky pet→bears and arctodus and after the 6 seconds from Signet of stone runs out. pop the shout protect me. You actually got 12 seconds of recieving -0 in dmg.
Entangle as elite

weapons→ fire skill nr 5 barrage from longbow
or just equip greatsword and start swing around inside the dome and you can almost evade all of their attacks. just use the skill 1 on autoattack

Plenty of ideas to survive in there ^^

Ranger with GS vs Warrior with GS.. Ranger won, Awkwaaaard xD

So that statement goes for every profession and not just the ranger. If you don’t know how to play the class, you are an easy kill.

To the original poster that was a nice video and nice build^.^ and a nice show off.
Just remember some day you will eventually run into somebody that will counter that build. That is the wonderful thing about WvW! and I’m happy to see that you have found use of sigil of fire xD

I’ve killed countless …and I mean countless Rangers…..and I can say 100% that any Ranger running a Bear in World vs World is going to be an easy kill.

The only benefit to running Bear is if they’re running something like Signet of the Stone and Protect Me for the damage absorb..however…..This still comes down to them using a Bear…Which is absolutely awful damage wise…

If you’re going to run any type of pet that’s not a Bird or Cat, it better be a Dog.

I use wolf and Bear in WvW
Never going to use cat or bird in there.

There are many types of builds and somehow many rangers still goes “glass canon” in WvW, I have battled other rangers with my own ranger. I use greatsword and sword/dagger and I’m not a glass canon.
But yes sometimes Ranger does look like they have a sign above the head that say “look at me i’m easy kill”
The surprise is usually the first win and key to success in WvW

It is pretty annoying to sit there watching magic users hurl all sorts of sparkly nonsense at people on the walls while watching my hail of arrows, which obviously clear the edge and hit the player provide nothing but a lovely rainbow of “OBSTRUCTED”.

Now i have to ask, which bow are you using? I don’t hope you are using axe og shortbow to throw/shoot at foes on top of walls. These are the worst weapons for a siege IMO, try use longbow and do barrage on wall where people are hurling things at you. Remember to get the trait with 5% more range to longbow. It will keep people away from the wall edges.
Place yourself on higher ground if possible, I have no problem with hitting enemies on wall. Its all about about where you place yourself

You can dogde… You got skill 2 and 3 and you have lightning reflexes to get away and in some cases it is possible to spam dodge roll and you can roll away. The problem is that the sword is on auto attack, so it will grab target again. But you can dogde

Saga Sorel, that name has stuck to me since 2005 in gw1
All my others also end on Sorel, don’t ask why, I don’t know why i came up with the surname Sorel
If you play on Far shiverpeaks.. look for a ranger that use Humiliation dye near the dragons xD
