Just wondering if anyone else is disappointed that this is a cider port and not native?

Very very upset right now. Spent 2 hours trying to get an instance, 1.5 hrs in the instance clearing it, and before the last boss I crashed and was then separated from my group.

Instance: Sorrows Embrace storymode.
Tried: Accepting prompt, denying prompt and entering manually, relogging, leaving group and being reinvited, dropping group, shutting down the game, getting back in, being reinvited, accepting prompt, doing it all again but not accepting prompt and going in manually, zoning in and using a waypoint, dying inside and using a waypoint. Nothing worked.

Please for the love of Dwayna fix this, getting a group together for a legit (non-speed run non farming) group to actually experience the content is RIDICULOUSLY hard because people apparently hate doing stories. When I actually get a group together and traverse these challenging instances (which I love by the way) getting to not finish them because of a crashing bug and then a separation bug is EXTREMELY frustrating.

Dont let the class name fool you, rangers have complete viability as melee. GS and axe/warhorn are my favorite for melee. Pets are an interesting thing, every one of them has something useful for a fight, its just about knowing which to use for which circumstance. Are you using it to hold attention on a mob? Use a bear or moa, bears have very high toughness/vitality and a bit of self heal and blocking, moas have aoe healing/buffs and high vitality. Are you using it in wvw for damage? Use a low vitality pet with high damage like a cat or bird, since players arent likely to target pets. Are you doing dps or support in an instance? Use a spider or carrion, both have ranged attacks that tend to keep them out of aoe. The ranger’s ability is not so much their f1 as their f2, choose a pet for the situation, then choose a sub-species of that pet type for its f2 ability, because you get to choose when to use the f2 ability.

I have not spent one single dime on this game outside of the 60 bucks to buy the game. I have a level 80 char and a level 26 alt and have never needed to buy a gem. If I want to buy gems, I can easily do so using in game silver. I really dunno why any person would need more than 5 characters, and I also dont know why you would need more bag/bank space when you have free crafting material storage up to 450 per material that you can bank from anywhere at any time.

Also, you are trying to buy all the one time stuff that is of course going to be the most expensive because it unlocks it forever. If you spend 15 bucks a month on gems to buy this stuff, you would have everything within 6 months.

At least this isnt Allods, where in order to get gear endgame you have to spend hundreds of dollars on “chance to upgrade” items just to stay relevant.
